Full name: Pak Ever Flame
Age: 40 years approx.
Race: Shield Dwarf
Sex: Male
Date of birth: Sometime in the early 1300’s
Place of birth: Small mining community outside of the Nashkel
Alignment: Neutral
Patron deity: Kossuth
Profession: Healer, Prophet, Preacher
Classes: Cleric, War Priest
Primary language: Dwarven
Secondary language: Common
Physical Appearance
At 4’3’’ he is not an unusual or remarkable dwarf except for the burns and scars all over any exposed flesh from repeated immolation ceremonies. Many find his self-scaring to be quite uncharismatic. He is always seen wearing red as a homage to HE who is Kossuth. He has dark penetrating and slightly unhinged dark eyes. Pak often wears a helmet that covers his face with hair sticking out of the bottom. He has hair that seems always to be singed and giving off a faint smell of being burnt. Pak moves with a sureness and confidence of one that has absolute certainty in his actions.
Demeanor and Psychological description
Fanatical in every sense of the word. Pak is arrogant, demanding, ambitious and self-righteous. Never joking and always serious. Pathologically religious and terrifying in his lack of moral center. Anything is justifiable if it serves Kossuth. He is arrogant enough to demand a temple in Kraak Helzak from the king (that actually happened) to single handedly fight a Bard Litch (also happened). Some may call him a megalomaniac, or narcissist, others driven to succeed.
Religious views:
Every action is for HIS glory not Pak’s, or at least that is what Pak will tell you. Deep down though Pak intends to be the living avatar of Kossuth. Nothing short of such will satisfy his ambitious nature. While not evil, he would burn his own child if directed to by Kossuth. Pak seeks to cleanse the world to prepare for renewal as the circle of destruction and creation that Kossuth brings. You are never sure whether Pak’s actions are for his gain or for Kossuth, but to Pak there is no difference.
Ancestor:
Dirt poor miners as far as anyone can remember. What wealth is mined feeds the family and provides ale for the men.

Biography
Family
Father: Shan
Barely successful miner.
Mother: Shar
Drunk part time smelter (when there was ore)
Brother: Zet
The only quasi normal dwarf of the family. Zet grew strong and resilient in the family mine where he toiled endlessly, only to watch his hard work be drunk away by his parents. Eventually fed up with being a family slave and used for his work ethic, Zet struck out on his own to be the toughest dwarven fighter ever. Perhaps not that successful, he has earned a reputation for being a superb front-line fighter after putting the same level of effort into training as he did into mining. Known to many in Soubar he is widely respected.
History
At first everyone in the community thought that Pak was a bit slow and perhaps even moderately retarded. Seemingly slow to talk, slow to work, and slow to start drinking, he mostly spent hours every day staring into whatever source of fire he could find. His fascination of watching fire turned into a fascination with burning things. His fascination with the different kinds of ash produced from different sources, such as campfires opposed to smelting tailings led to his experimenting with uses of such ash. Pak was wise enough to know you don’t waste something that could be used but not quite smart enough to figure out what use ash may have.
Then a fateful day occurred on a trip to Nashkel. Pak stopped by a brick kiln, drawn by the fire, and noticed that ash and pumice was being used to form bricks. And an idea so profound entered his head that it would change his life; fire transformed one substance into another. One was destroyed and another created. A circle happening over and over. It just so happens that he said out loud “It is a circle of destruction and creation through fire!!! When he spoke these words, a man dressed in a red robe who happened to be passing by stopped dead in his tracks and looked over to Pak. He peered intensely at him and said, “Who are you to speak of HE who is fire?” Confused, Pak started asking questions which his family always found so annoying. In the end the man said Pak should go to Thay to study under the Eternal Flame of Kossuth. He even said he would send word of a special Dwarf that would come one day. In an offhand way Pak agreed not having the slightest clue what or where a “Thay” was. The story of Pak’s time in Thay is a story for later, it was….unpleasant….but he did find his calling. He swore he would be the greatest Brazier of Kossuth to walk the land and he would one day be an Eternal Flame himself. Secretly harboring desires to be the Eternal Flame of a dwarf city with great Forges fired by Kossuth with all dependent on his good will.
So everyday Pak seeks to spread the word of Kossuth. He even went so far as to write a book about the faith which can be found in Baldur Gate’s library. The title is “The Fires of Kossuth Vol. One” which he checks out often to reread. Pak cleanses what he can, heals what he can and has never quit on his goal to be an Eternal Flame. WIP——-
Future
Pak has set his sights on being named the Eternal Flame of Kraak Helzak by the king. An official recognition of Pak’s greatness and a recognition of Kossuth’s importance to the forges.
Heirloom item or Exp reward
I would forgo any reward for posting this if I could get an RCR to squeeze out a little more healing capability.
I would otherwise choose a heirloom item. 3 possible ideas
1. Weapon that is cleric oriented from Kossuth temple in Thay
2. Plate armor that is cleric oriented from chest found buried in family mine
3. Shield that is cleric oriented found buried in family mine
Plot hooks
-Anything dwarven, Kossuth related, or events that may require healing.
