Look from an EX DM/NWN 1 EE player.

So it's been a while since I checked in on the forums to see how this place has been doing.

Seen tons of topics about stagnation/retention etc.

I know this opinion wasn't asked for but here goes some direct and concise points to offer which can attract new players:

+ On the main forum page, pin skywings extender.

+ Automate player housing, ships, property etc. can do it on a permanent or temporary basis. NWN1 servers use this and there are systems for nwn2 on the vault if there's no manpower.

+Instigate a loot system, dynamically generate items with properties on. Doesn't have to go full diablo with colour codes.

+ More DMs for on the fly events, during my time as DM the players and I had way more fun with those and encouraged newer players to come on due to how accessible it was. (Shout out to the party that ran away from portals bursting out with illithids.)

+ Shorten wording down on the forums, why say 20 words when 6 will do?

Hopefully the points above make sense and tried to keep this brief. Would be nice to see the current design/DM team weigh in on this along with some OG players to see if this would work.

Other than the housing, most of these are already implemented

The random generation of items in fact has been around for many years now. Skywings is pinned, its under the new player greeting that is pinned on the forums.

Player housing well, that's outside of my jurisdiction but atm it cant be automated because we allow players to actually build the map and interior they want for their house, which cant really be automated.

As for amount of DM's, that fluctuates and is only so much in our control. Not a lot of people apply to be DM's.
