As per the subject. The damage bonus from Power Attack gets replaced when you charge with the 1d8 bonus from Powerful Charge. It doesn't get replaced only if the damage bonus from Power Attack is higher than 1d8. So if I have Power Attack 6 enabled for +9 bonus (as per Frenzied Berserk with Enhanced Power Attack) the Power Attack damage bonus stays active during the charge, but the bonus from Powerful Charge isn't applied at all then. However, if you charge without a weapon, you keep both the bonus damage from Power Attack on your fists and 1d8 from Powerful Charge.

Below are screenshots from some quick testing. On a char with Enhanced Power Attack from Frenzied Berserker. I didn't test it with a bludgeoning weapon. The issue persists both with shield equipped and not equipped. However, with no shield and a two-handed weapon the damage bonus from Powerful Charge isn't applied at all if any Power Attack mode is enabled. It is applied properly in this scenario if no Power Attack mode is enabled as per testing described below.

So I'd like to know if that's intentional. Doesn't sound like that to me due to the no-weapon charge situation described above. It seems like the bonus from the Powerful Charge feat messes with the one from Power Attack feat if a weapon is equipped. I assume both add the bonus to the same "slot" and it gets overwritten unless it's already higher.

But maybe it’s some intentional balance shenanigans? If not, it renders Powerful Charge useless, basically, if you try to use it with Power Attack.

Did some additional testing. Slashing two-handed weapon, no shield equipped, PA is not enabled. Second screenshot, the 1d8 bonus damage from PC while charging is added properly. However, if any PA mode is enabled while a two-handed weapon is equipped, no bonus damage from PC is applied while charging at all.

Our custom PA system adds damage post-hoc, which Powerful Charge does as well. So the two don't stack as they don't recognize each other. PC or PA would have to be individually coded to consider the other ability.

We can look into fixing it at some point.

I see, thanks. Yeah, my best guess was it had something to do with how this custom PA-feat is implemented. Would be nice to see it fixed, I guess. But, oh well, no pressure. I'm probably the only one running around with that feat anyway.
