Better Storage Suggestions/Requests

A- A better storage system, While I love the storage, I am obsessed with organization and I'm sure others would love to have sections for each item type if that's something possible, kind of like a bank in the game Runescape. Of course I don't know how doable this is but I like to hope for something scrolling through a unorganized bank is very bleh. Figured if we could have different storage in different towns it might be doable?=^^=
B-1- Gem Pouch- akin to the herb pouch. that would hopefully making usable for spells from within.
2-Prop Pouch- A way to have one prop have unlimited uses it's very tedious especially during player run events to run back and forth for props/ or store inventory to even get them. Or Perhaps at least let them all stack up to ten like the veil of blood.
3-scroll pouch
4-wand pouch
5-potion belt
6-Bag of Holding- ((not the original one)) but one that works like the Herb Pouch but for all non gem / herb / prop ect, if others would be implemented.

Gem bags are already a thing, 1 pound for 100 gems.
As for the rest...
- One of the main restrictions on storage/Mudd changes is the lack of people able and willing to dive into the XMLs defining our UI. This is sadly one such case... though it occurs to me that I could probably at least sort the search results so that it always puts the things from this storage location on top...
- A prop bag sounds doable, we'd just need to discuss weights and capacities... and whether we wanted to even add one.
- Scrollcase isn't feasible with our current specialty bag tech.
- Ditto for wand bags.
- And potion bags, unfortunately.
- And a generic bag is simply out of the question. But we have been discussing possibly taking our chances with a limited rollout of normal, vanilla containers. It's risky, because we can't easily take the bags away if it turns out they're still a problem... but it's possible that they're not.

-ooo....woo gems!
-Banking- That would be neat even, as a way to sort them we could put things in different towns if I understand you right. Of course I wonder if we could make "different town" options on the same person that would act as a way to crease a bank for each type?
-Prop Bag- This one I def like the idea of myself but of course props for events can take lots of time to set up running back and forth or withdrawing from the new saddle bag, or old.
-Wand, Scroll, Potions- No worries wasn't truly thinking that would be a thing but figured i'd throw it in there hehe! *pats the wands in her bank* "soon my pets soon."
-Generic Bag- but what about more outfits to change into! hehe teasing=^^=
-Normal Bags- Maybe just a test run with select people at first whom you can rely on to return them if it's no good? Not me! I'd never give it back! I love more pockets!

The sorting here would be limited to putting items you can retrieve (i.e. are on the right map for) at the top of the list, before any others. Since storage is tied to a map, not a dialogue option, the answer to your second question is no.

Unfortunately, it's a little more complicated. Some of the possible issues can only occur when a bag is abused; it's not inconceivable that 99% of the server might somehow end up using them fine, only for that rare 1% to break things.

I had once chatted about something like this with I think Rhifox... my suggestion was this:
everyone gets 3 undroppable bags/containers that do not reduce weight or anything. Each bag has like... 25 item space.
This allows for organization as thus:
-RP items, camp gear, etc like pots and pans, rope, compasses, any other little heirloom trinkets.
-one for spells and potions and stuff, or other knick nacks like alchemist fire not being actively readied, or whatever. Spare/secondary gear and clothes, whatever (in this or the first one or whatever)
- one for everything else, mostly loot or any other utility desired.
then leave the other storage like the horses and merchants alone.
That gives everyone some inventory management but still not so much abuse as say, the 149 vanilla bag/container/whatever.

I don't think we can control bag capacity.

Functional backpacks might be interesting. There's much one could say for encumbrance, when the weight is distributed properly.

there isn't a thing you can just make rather than load in "vanilla bag" to be non-droppable to and determine the slot amount? Could have sworn I saw that on another server once.

This may have been explained before and I missed it, but I don't understand why we don't have bags like it seems all the other severs do. Mind, this is NOT a complaint, as I assume there's some good reason. The reason is just unknown to me, and I if someone is so inclined to explain the reason, I would appreciate it. I have had others interested in the server ask me about bags before, and I didn't have the knowledge to explain why they weren't present.

The short answer is bic sizes, as I understand it. So your character file becomes big and then the server starts lagging.

I kind of assumed it was something to do with that. I know that bic sizes are an issue. I was asked a while back to leave most of my TKL songs in storage, because my bic file was large enough to cause the server to lag whenever I logged in. I had about 50 TKL songs in my inventory back then. Now I just wander around with whatever is stored in the Lute.
