Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Hey guys! It's been 6 years of absence, and now I'm returning =)

So, I'm starting again as a techsmith of gond and and scavenging both the forum and our wiki for some knowledge. My question is about the following feat:

Animal Companion Progression
Type of Feat: Class Ability
Prerequisites: Hierophant 1, Animal Companion
Specifics: Your levels of Hierophant count towards your animal companion progression. You must have an Animal Companion already to profit from this feat.

As I understand, when summoned, the gondsman uses the same slot as the animal companion. Would this feat works for it?

Only Techsmith levels plus PC Hit Dice (or total Character Level) determine the Gondsman HD.

More so Techsmith feats won't work if you have druid or ranger levels , so sayeth the wiki .
