So diary, this my second night on the Sword Coast. Met some very interesting people today!
The first was a hin by the name of number 2, or possibly Lady Ree. I think her friend or maybe leader, not sure, was named Solaris, met them on the bridge near the Phoenix Company inn, seemed like good people to me. Lady Solaris seemed to have an especially long and impressive title. They wanted to go to a tavern I never heard of before, the blushing mermaid, and I agreed. Not sure how I feel about that now.
On the way to the blushing mermaid met a very kind person by the name of Sister Ashenie. I felt rather guilty around her, I always found people who dedicate themselves to the Lord of the Rack to be a bit disturbing. The very idea of suffering is an anathema to me, something to be avoided. I am not a follower of the Broken God, but in the spirit of meeting her;
Broken and Crying God, we remember before you all poor and neglected persons whom it would be easy for us to forget: the homeless and the destitute, the old and the sick, and all who have none to care for them. Please take on the suffering of those who are broken in body or spirit, and help them obtain the perseverance to overcome their sorrow. Grant this, Lord of the Rack, for those who have dedicated their lives to your service, like Sister Ashenie. May the One Who Endures preserve us.
*handwriting gets much worse*
I am suddenly very tired, I do not feel I will finish this. Perhaps tomorrow morning. Sleep time for me.

So diary, yesterday I was able to get a room at the Phoenix Company Inn. I promptly slept for over a day.
It is a massive upgrade, its clean, the bed is nice, and I think I can use my wand of concealment and have the courage for the public baths.
Was deeply disappointed to find out they did not offer maid service or laundry service. Seriously, what kind of Inn does not offer laundry service? I am going to need to find someone for that before I end up having to do it myself. I have never done laundry! I mean, I have watched Brenda do it hundreds of times. But where am I going to find copper boilers here?! And all the wood or coal that is needed?! It is a two day grueling pain in the tush and I absolutely want nothing to do with it.
Still, massive upgrade over the place prior. They nailed DEAD hands to a mermaid statue there. Cleanliness clearly was not a priority. I had to take a room though, it was late and I found out guild thieves ran the streets at night. I was to scared to sleep on the bed, ended up sleeping on the floor, I think I have bruises from that. It still hurts.
I forgot to mention I had also met some guy at the Blushing Mermaid, don't remember his name, seemed nice but also promiscuous. I need to get better with names.
Oh, I need to do my morning prayer. And find someplace to do planting. At least I have a drying cantrip, it makes the whole chamber pot thing for the Mother of All so much easier.
I give you thanks, most gracious Mother, for the beauty of the earth, the fields, and the trees; for the richness of the fields, plains, and rivers; for the songs of birds and the loveliness of flowers. I praise you for these good gifts, and pray that I may safeguard them for everyone's posterity. Grant that I may continue to grow in my grateful enjoyment of your abundant creation, from the seeding to the reaping, now and forever.

It is time for bed already, day just flew by. Did not do much really, and I think I am ok with that.
I finally was able to get a bath. It might be "public" baths, but it was just me the entire time. So much for my nervousness.
This whole building is just an amazing work of art. Manor Saenei was nice, but not like this place nice. Take the baths for example, they actually had fountains! how?! how?!?! Just breathtaking though.
This place also has a library with many books. No idea what is all in there, but I could waste months in that place. And a greenhouse. Two gardens out front. I wonder if they would mind if I snuck a plant into one of those? Probably.
The one thing Manor Saenei did have on this place, staff. I still need to find a solution for my laundry. I wonder if they sell the boilers in the gate somewhere?
Perhaps I could just start buying new a new shift and unmentionables every day? I can probably get away with not replacing the under-petticoat every day if I get a knee length one. If I go to the poor section of the city might not be so bad. And I would only be wearing them once, quality wouldn't matter. Cheap linen may not last long, but it is soft and fuzzy. Not as nice as my high thread count cotton, but I was told sacrifices would have to be made. It is not like I am wearing full stays, half stays are all but required for my life now. Cheap linen would be fine with half stays. I hope.
Upside of no maid, nobody here is going to question what is happening with the chamber pot. Goddess knows, I hate that part of worshiping Her.
Anyway, time for evening prayer and then bed. Might as well go outside and watch the setting sun while I say it.
Oh Mother of All, who has filled the world with beauty: Open my eyes to behold thy gracious hand in all thy shaping, that, rejoicing in the golden setting sun, I may learn to serve you with gladness; for the sake of the font through all life was made, nurture and grow the harvest, the earth, and the cycle. Help us all keep the earth, the water, and the sacred river pure eternal, so the font of life is never corrupted.

Wow, I have been neglecting you Madam Diary. My apologies about that. Wait, I am anthropomorphizing you or personifying you? I should have paid more attention to Governess Teresa’s lessons.
Maddie suggested I ask someone to help me learn about the weave, and they are an absolutely fantastic instructor! Could not ask for anyone better. I cannot believe how lucky I am. The sword coast is full of amazing surprises, honestly, I am amazed by this turn of events. It is difficult to describe how wonderful and unlikely this feels.
My instructor gave me the most powerful spell I am ever to learn in my entire life:
Prestidigitation
Anyway, like I said, most powerful spell ever made!! Mahahaha! No one can stop me now! All will kneel before my laundry processing skills! ^_^
. . . On that subject, if that could be mass produced in a potion it would make someone filthy rich.
I have been slipping ity bitty plants in the conservatory, they are so small that nobody will notice them, and when they do grow a bit, I will move them outside on the banks of the river Chionthar.
Oh! I am officially part of Phoenix Company! My own room and everything! It is wonderful! I am really liking the people here. They are an absolutely delight.
Rose and Maddie are just beautiful, kind, and very warm to everyone! Very helpful also.
Then there is Madam Netanya, who is just amazing. I think some people are put off by her manner, but once I spent a little time with her I realize she was an exceptionally kind and generous person. It was only through her I met the elegant Lady Topaz.
I also have my own room! I have started tossing things under the bed also! Its great!
On that subject,
Shaper of All, who openest thine hand and fillest all things living with plenty: Bless the Phoenix Company and its members, and multiply the harvest of their kindness, let thy Golden Grace shine forth that it may renew the company; show them loving-kindness, that our growth may flourish; save us from selfish use of what thou givest; that all of us may give you thanks.

Talk about diary neglect. I guess I was never cut out for keeping one. The good news is I finally finished a compiling my magic notes. They need some clean up and then some, but something is better then nothing!
Laei's magic notes v0.5
These of course are a never ending work in progress. Expanding forever and ever.

Re: diary of Laei
In addition...Pursuant to this tidbit of lore about Mielikke "She was the most responsive of deities, according to Elminster, always answering those who prayed to her and not only when convenient", Ferrick meditated at a pristine field of wildflowers with his back to a tree, and listened to whispers on the wind as he prayed for guidance from Mielikke as to the best methods he should utilize when dealing with the Abyssal Blackgrass, and whether it would be dangerous to use Negative Energy to combat it:

Ferrick Then returned to the Temple of Mystra, and placed the sample of Abyssal Blackgrass, taken from the gnoll cave of the Reaching Woods, and contained securely in a well sealed Cold-Iron canister, to lock it away inside the Temple's vault, alongside the other samples currently housed there:
