It's not possible to examine items from a pack horse at Wyrm's Crossing! Don't know if that's a new issue or if it always existed.

What does it say if you try?

Gotta jump in here, have similar problem but with any storage window (Merchants storing, Horses saddlebag, Herbs's rack) with exception of Mudds auction

Keeps telling me that I "can't view the examine in that location"

Exact quote (or screenshot), please? IIRC there's several different error messages, so it'll be easier to figure out what's wrong based on the message.

... So as it turns out, while I'd planned on it (and did some preliminary tests which, IIRC, crashed the server pretty reliably), I never actually got around to making a system that would allow you to examine items on any map. There needs to be a special placeable hidden somewhere on the map in order for it to work.

Wyrm's Crossing never had a storage NPC or Mudd endpoint, so it wouldn't have been set up for storage preview.
