Hm. Wilfred is in there, but I can't remember ever having a discussion about a flaming chicken.

Don't feel bad. The nobles that donated the stuff Meri turned into a mass of peach cobbler so as not to waste them... there was enough to feed half of Baldur's Gate... Good thing Meri hates sleep... Though I think she is ready for some time -outside- of the kitchen...

Ah yes, the "Flaming Chicken Incident of 2009," I remember it well: 'Tis forever recorded in Candlekeep's lore books.

Hoho, Winthrop knows exactly what Merielle does in the kitchen -- doesn't he, Leslie?
The funniest RP quote I have ever seen was actually an amazingly-timed, impressively-witty insult. As such, I think it is best if I keep that one under my hat.
The funniest DM event that I have ever participated in was one wherein a colossal mashed potato golem was running amok inside Candlekeep. Please compare:

You have it recorded? Link please? I know my PC must have been involved if he's in that screenshot, but I just can't remember it.

You silver-tongued Tiefling you!
She will forever regret the day she could not picture a very drunk wizard...

Haha, I don't actually have it recorded, but I do remember what happened.
A DM had spawned a wyvern on some lower-level adventurers outside Candlekeep earlier that day. The corpse of the dead wyvern spawn did not vanish after it was killed, and so remained there on the road. This was before we had regularly-scheduled server resets, so it sat there pretty much all day long.
Isabella Villame, in the chat log, was Candlekeep's Gatewarden at the time, and I was Candlekeep's Guide. As we were wont to do, we were standing outside the gates of Candlekeep, interacting with visitors -- mostly we were being told, a lot, that "there's a dead wyvern out on the road."
Barvok ran up to the gate, then, warning everyone of a fiery chicken of death and destruction. We were, naturally, skeptical. I believe poor Barvok was asked to see the nurse in the infirmary, and no one went to investigate his reports of flaming, magically-powerful poultry.
However, Barvok's tall tale was not so tall, travelers ...
I have heard fearful reports of a DM spawn, that burns with fire, and clucks with soulless fury. The so-called "Avernus Fried Chicken Chicken" is said to have an AC in the 40s, STR in the 30s, and more than 300 HP ...
It is said that on the blackest of nights, when there is no moon -- a night much like this night, in fact ... -- the chicken strikes from the shadows! If you have not heard of this foul fowl, the reason for this is very simple:
No one ever survives to tell the tale!
Except Barvok, it seems. Who was never believed.
Poor Barvok.

It's a freaking crazy chicken.
In fact, Barvok had one other encounter with a Flaming Chicken and the entire group decided it to be wise to never *ever* speak of it to anyone. We were almost killed by a freaking chicken

Well, this post seems rather OOC to me actually, but I could say the same thing about other posts. It could be that there are 1500 or so members on these forums and only 500-some players have read
THIS THREAD.

Anyone remember the Gnome event back on St. Patty's Day? After they where attacked by gnomes in the temple, Nela invesgitated one of the bodys and found some sort of odd amulet on their neck.
Nela: "Hey everyone, look at these Charms. They almost seem......lucky...."
She got 3 "Lucky Charm" amulets from the DM for saying that. I forget who the DM was, but thanks for getting the joke!!
