Looks:
Elor is a handsome-looking wood elf with light skin and raven hair. His height is slightly above average, and he has a lean, athletical build. The man moves with natural grace, easily tress passing both urban and natural labyrinths with his broad stride. Despite his enviable looks, his appearance might seem uncomfortable to some. Mostly due to the intense stare of his unusually reddish eyes.

The elf favors darker colors in his clothing, most often wearing a long crimson jacket over black leathers. His pockets are full of supplies, required for survival both in the urban environment and in the wild nature. When on a hunt or on a job, he carries a big quiver, full of arrows with different tips, meant to resolve different situations. His weapon is an intimidating recurve long bow. Among other weaponry, he carries a long elven dagger and a set of throwing knives for when it comes to closer combat. On his face, the man either wears a head band, or a facial scarf.

Personality:
Elor is pragmatic and cynical, driven by profits and influence. While not being an intellectual, he's tempered by the criminal life and experienced at survival. The elf sees the world as a contested territory, split between rival gangs, be those gangs actual bandits or any other groups, no matter how peaceful they are in reality (e.g. guilds or churches). The most curious thing is that his street smarts is rooted in his Seldarine ranger back ground. The elf claims that there's not much of a difference between natural forests and urban jungles, since both are confusing to the ignorant and favorable to the knowledgeable, both full of twisted paths and dangerous predators.

The elf is a rather straight forward man, usually telling what's on his mind. At the same time, he's not combative or aggressive, always keenly appraising any situation, and never instigating conflicts he can't win. On top of the above, Elor is a rather extravagant man, some claim he's dramatic and and bizarre. Despite his cynicism, he has a keen, near childish interest for studying new things and people, and playing games. Regarding the latter, Elor says that one must know the rules in order to efficiently break them. He's only interested in winning and will do what it takes to cheat his way through. Which is what he's rather open about.

Despite being an exile, which he doesn't talk openly about, he still considers the other elves kin and treats them more favorably than other people. Elor despises orcs, treating them no more than aggressive animals, but holds more respect for dhaerow, admiring their crafty ways and talents, yet still being eager to shoot them when an opportunity arises. Elor's main vices are pride and greed, and it's where his true weakness lies.

Powers:
Elor is a fallen ranger, having lost the Seldarine favor and incapable of any forms of magic. Despite this, he has mastered every other ranger craft to a deadly degree, with his strongest suit being the traditional ar-tel'quessir archery. Elor possesses a large collection of arrow heads, meant to allow him to dispose of any threat that might arise before him. He is incredibly agile and nimble, able to move faster than most, even across difficult terrain.

Even when caught in close combat, Elor is capable to surprise his opponents with a deadly defense, due to his fighter training, using his hunting dagger and throwing knives to his advantage. Despite not having any deep academical knowledge, Elor spends days and nights scouting, mapping and memorizing terrain to become fluent at navigating it when it matters. He knows his way around big cities and the wilds, knowing most secret passages and uncommon routes. He has a straight-forward analytical mind, always appraising the situation before acting. He has good intuition, knowing when to retreat and when to press on.

History:
Path of the Seldarine

Elor Xiloscia hails from a small ar-tel'quessir commune, one of those that surround the city of Suldanessellar. He was destined to become the next ranger-protector of the commune. For dozens of years, he's been trained in the ways of Solonor Telandira, mastering the craft of tracking, scouting, forestry and, what would later result in his doom, traditional wood elven archery. Elor was an avid learner, and he dogmatically followed the ways of the Seldarine, eager to fulfill his role and serve the future of his kin.

Elor was growing up along with a girl, Deloridia Tir'eir, who was destined to fill a similar role to him, but as a druidess. Eventally, he has developed feelings for her, and, at the time, she reciprocated them, resulting in a fiery romance. But later on, Deloridia claimed that those feelings were a foolish mistake of her youth, and she truly should be with Milmar Amalle, son of the commune leader, who was being trained as a priest of Corellon Larethian. Most of the commune was sharing these sentiments, blessing the union of the two, and seeing a brighter future for their kind in it. But not Elor. He was desperate, as he still loved Deloridia, and was seeing others as delusional, her act as betrayal, and Milmar's actions as a personal slight.

Fall of the Ranger

Conflicts were more and more abdundant between two men, and each of them was being resolved in Milmar's favor. Elor was seeing no support in the commune, as everyone expected him to abandon his foolish feelings and make peace with the destiny. In his despair, Elor took a desperate step. He used his ranger training to track down the two lovers on their forest tryst. However, the vigilant druidess spotted his ambush, and she covered Milmar's body with hers, begging Elor to stop, and when he refused, saying that if he wants to kill Milmar, he'll have to kill them both. Knowing there's no way back, Elor didn't lay down his arms. He made his shot. It pierced Deloridia's shoulder and Milmar's heart, resulting in a heavy injury of the former and death of the later.

Elor was brought before the Seldarine court of Suldanessellar. Despite what he's done, Deloridia begged for his mercy, and, perhaps, it is why the mercy was granted. Elor was branded as a Kin Slayer and forever exiled from the Wealdath forest, becoming a fallen ranger. To make sure his crime is never forgotten, he was cursed, and since that day his eyes have gained crimson color. After the court, before forever leaving the lands he's sworn to protect, he tried to speak to Deloridia, but she said she despises the monster Elor has become.

Turning to Fenmarel Mestarine, Elor began his life of an exile. He spent some years alone in the woods out skirts, slowly delving into madness, as every thing he stood for collapsed into dust. It was until he has discovered a gang of criminals hiding in the woods. Ambushing the humans, he shot down some of them and spared the leader, demanding answers. The leader of the bandits, however, wasn't fearful or angry by Elor's action. He was impressed. And said they could use men like this elf. Elor had no idea about that implication, but in his despair, he agreed to listen to the criminal's terms.

Gangster Life

It was when Elor was introduced to the criminal world of Darromar, joining a gang of Crimson Knives, based at the Black Quarters of the city. The elf soon realized how little the criminal world differs from the dangerous wilderness of Wealdath, and how similar stone jungles are to the twisted wooden passages. He was learning his ways incredibly fast, finding delight in his new way of life. He was involved in smuggling, fraud, extortions and murders, serving as the gang's most dangerous enforcer, thanks to the traditonal wood elven archery and tracker skills that couldn't be match by any criminals of the rival gangs. It is when he gained his notorious alias, the Viper, inspired by his sudden and lethal strikes.

Elor has out lived many Crimson Knives leaders, and when the gang was collapsed by the Tethyrian authorities, he took a smooth escape, getting clean out of the dirty waters. Traveling the Coast, Elor has created his own gang, the Vipers, that was formally serving as a mercenary group, but was a band of criminals in truth. When the Vipers were about to get out lawed, the group has mysteriously vanished, save for the leader, who claims they're still around.

Upon returning to Baldur's Gate area, Elor has attempted to re create the Vipers at his new place. He abandoned the idea, when a new, juicier offer fell upon his desk. He joined the Iron Throne, becoming its agent and enforcer. The elf claims that the Iron Throne will soon over whelm the city, and he wants to ride this wave when it happens, rather than being crushed beneath it.

Plot Hooks:
-- Elor currently works for the Iron Throne, hired by the over seer Terence Haelwing. Elor represents the organization, although not being of any high rank yet.
-- Elor was branded as a Kin Slayer through the bloody color of his eyes. Those elves who are versed in Seldarine traditions might recognize this brand.
-- Elor is a fickle and greedy man, and his loyalty can be bought. It all depends on the price ...
-- Those from Tethyr, especially from Darromar, might know the rumors about the notorious Viper. And know the crimes of this man.
