Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

I'm trying to find a list of what Spell Focus does for its school of magic. I suggest this is also added to the wiki. Does anyone have this information?

If you start making a new spellcaster character , you can look over in the feat choices what each focus does , but there are some things like reignite evocation that may be missed .
I know only conjuration and necromancy give +1hd per focus to their school summons and transmutation given +1 ac to polymorph and shapechange forms .

Right, so Necromancy, Conjuration is +1 to HD of minions. Transmutation is +1 to AC and I think AB (?) of forms. Would be good to have some sources for this. I know that Evocation gives Reignite Invocation, I think Illusion gives extra Hit Points to your illusions/programs, Divination raises the HP pool on affected creature with the Power Words. No idea what Abjuration does, I suspect it might be tied to Counterspell system. Enchantment - no clue.

I would have rolled a spellcaster on JEGS, but I don't know if these bonuses are written down anywhere in form of a feat, or if I would be forced to look at logs.

EDIT: I found this. No source so far.

Would be good if someone updated the wiki with it . But at least it's there .

Spell focuses abjuration, divination, enchantment, evocation and illusion does nothing beyond increasing DCs. Which is what's important anyways. Who cares about the other stuff?

You say that, Deathgrowl, but you didn't link Evocation and Transmutation at all. I know that Evocation plays with Reignite Evocation (which isn't linked into one another at all on wiki), but Transmutation probably does nothing extra.

Perhaps it would be worth making a comprehensive list so that there's no room for doubt. At any rate, I have my answers, so my OCD is satisfied. Thanks a lot!

Oh wait, sorry. Yeah. Evocation does have reignite. I just never think of it because it's so useless for anything that isn't a cleric with implode.

But transmutation I did mention in the polymorph link.

Polymorph Focus

Similar to conjuration and necromancy, Transmutation focus will grant bonuses to polymorph and shapechange. Please note, word of changing invocation is not affected by Transmutation focus.

• Transmutation focus grants +1 AC to polymorph and shapechange forms.
• Greater Transmutation focus grants a total of +2 AC to polymorph and shapechange forms.
• Epic Transmutation focus grants a total of +4 AC to polymorph and shapechange forms.
• Red Wizard Spec: Transmutation grants +1 AC to polymorph and shapechange forms.

I think it might be beneficial to list all this stuff in one place, but at the same time I'm not prepared to offer to do it, sooo... yeah, thanks for clarification.

Spell Focus Divination, as it turns out, has some extra uses. I've yet to go through the other niche spells.
