Well now, this may get a few old faces returning...

I've not yet seen anyone mentioning this historically important event for our community on these forums, but here it is, the event none of us thought was likely to happen in a thousand years. Who knows, the Enhanced Edition might even be able to push past some of the limitations of the Original.

It was mentioned on Discord. And it is difficult to say if it will make some of the "old faces" return... TBH from the screenshots and provided material the game looks unchanged graphic-wise. Only hope is that Aspyr managed to fix the code and Toolkit.
I still remain sceptical that we will now face hordes of new people, picking up old, very niche game, which runs on old rule set.

New people play nwn1 all the time, so I'm not sure the age of the game/rule-set matter that much.
If the mechanics are enjoyable and the server is well-populated, people will come.
Having the game work out of a box and on console/mobile (I was surprised how many people RPed on Arelith on mobile lol) will be a blessing in and of itself, not to mention a lot of issues the game does have. Simple things like changing graphical settings working without mucking the game up will help too. That'll all help people sift in as well, the barrier to entry will be far lower when a lot of the mundane crap is fixed.

NWN:EE revitalized some servers. Hopefully the same thing happens here.
Long time no see, Boo! Hope you're doing well!

Who are you calling old? I look amazing.
Yeah I poked my head in to poke around a bit.
I'm looking forward to see if the resolution issues are fixed natively now. And like said before, if the toolkit is unwound and not a mess anymore.

You know...
...I saw the news and figured I'd check if bgtscc still exists. It got one old face back this far. But I don't think much further than that
Hope you gents are doing alright though. Interesting to see some old and familiar name tags after so long. Quite some memories were made here. And even more hours wasted away.

Some of us are just around till the bitter end regardless apparently. Honestly i'll settle for them just making the game work properly on newer systems with less issues. They don't need to reinvent the wheel, just patch up the old ship and give us a fresh coat of paint.

Just wondering if BG will be transitioning to the EE as well?
