Physical description:
6'3" Ivor is tall, sallow of skin, and thin like many of his contemporaries among the Red Wizards but carries himself with an air of formality. He walks with a straight backed, rigid posture; always attempting to exude a confidence he might not always feel born purely of determination. His face is blemished by scars from his apprenticeship and the rigors of arcane study in Thay, each worn as a lesson with a tattoo painted such that they draw attention to them. The entirety of his scalp and face are meticulously shaved regularly,\ and what hair was once atop his head might in fact have been burned down to the follicle never to grow again, though if by intention or accident is not clear. Hazel eyes look at the world with a scrutinizing gaze, matched with thin lips bearing a false smirk much of the time. Ivor looks like a wizard determined for look the part of a Red Wizard of rank or one who will die trying to earn his place as one. Though not imposing of physical build he prefers a cut of robes that allows him to glare or loom over others with arms crossed, else offer him a flattering look ready for battle fitting of his study with the Circle of Evokers.
Psychological description:
"A wizard is always on time when they arrive and are never out of place.", is a phrase Ivor lives by. An evoker and battlemage through and through, he attempts to always project a persona of confidence even when it is not felt. To speak directly and bluntly rather than beat around the bush with cloak and dagger. Things out in the open are easier strike with a bolt of lighting, and with enough fire everything can be revealed. His truest passions is for his study of the art and in particular the manipulation of known spells, control of the very elements themselves into all manner of forms and shapes.
Religious views:
Kossuth the Fire Lord is both a savior of the homeland, and fire is a force that purifies there is good reason to pay respects to such an element. Azuth the Lord of Spells is the sort of mages any Red Wizard could aspire to be like. These two are ones he holds in highest regard, and of course Shar, Umberlee and a host of gods hold their place of respect in Thaymount at the right time and place. After all angering forces beyond mortal ken, is a quick route to getting dead. That said the pursuit of the art is a means to power, and power is both excellence and independence. Mortals have ascended to godhood by their pursuit of power before, it should never be ruled out that these gods might one day be competition if all goes well for a Red Wizard.
Ancestor:
Magus Alrik Zuul with the Circle of Evokers is the last known Red Wizard in Ivor's family tree, and was known to have lived some 80 years prior. The family at present is well off as a result of having had someone wear the Red prior, but has for several generations not produced a suitable candidate for the Red Wizards. He left behind an heirloom that has been passed down the line, it's secrets locked away until perhaps now.
