Increase uses of Summon Familiar

At this time, a mage can summon their familiar 1/day. As stated in the Feat, if the familiar is killed, it can only be re-summoned after a Rest.

But for game play convenience, I'd like to suggest that a mage can summon their familiar more than 1/day, apart from the issue when the Familiar dies. If that can be scripted.

So, for example, a mage or PC with Summon Familiar feat, can summon 5/day, EXCEPT for when the Familiar dies in combat, then the used per day is zeroed out and one must Rest their PC.

The reason behind this is how during a session of gameplay, a mage might have to unsummon their Familiar in order to enter certain areas, and just "parking" your familiar in another Area and it not jumping along with your PC when transitioning is just not an option (or at least, one cannot RP both your PC and your Familiar on differnt Areas at the same time and such...). And, of course, not have to then wait for a Rest possibility to regain the Familiar.

Okay, maybe 5/day is too much to ask, so how about at least 3/day??? 8-)

Thanks for considering.

I just tested this. Unsummoning resets the feat (but with a 15 minute cooldown), so you can resummon the familiar without resting.

Maybe the 15 minute cooldown is a bit extreme for unsummoning/resummoning.

Hey, that’s something I wasn’t aware of! Thanks for posting it. So yeah, kinda fulfills my suggestion,

Yes, maybe the cooldown isn’t warranted even!?! Cheers
