Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Hello everyone.

Surprisingly, i've noticed my new warlock girl (1st level) has 2d6 Eldritch Blast damage (first noticed in the combat messages and then checked the feat in the Char's sheet).

EDIT: Could it be that the game will consider my char as 3rd level for my total amount of xp, ignoring my character's level? (i am currently over 4000 xp).

It's most likely basing it off your current experience. Blast stacking is recalculated on login and other parts, so most likely is the cause.

That seems highly unlikely. Blast dice don't scale off the warlock's hit dice, and even if they did, it would be entirely inappropriate for them to scale off raw XP instead of actual hit dice.

Off the top of my head, I think all the systems that scale off raw XP have to do with scaling rewards/penalties (e.g. kill XP, RTS loot downgrading, RCR rate...), not character stats.

Oh, then I wouldn't know why. I'd have to check the actual files then though it's not really something I'm pressing about since I assume it will resolve as she levels anyways. It seems odd if it's based on level and she's getting 2d6 to start on level 1.

Could be because of fey or fiendish power. I think they give +1d6 actually on top, it doesn't go past the 14d6, though regardless.

It's supposed to increase caster level by 1, which would allow a warlock to get their blast dice one level early, not two. (And then there's the problem of not actually being able to get the Power feats at level 1, IIRC. Weird choice even if you could, though, since it means you burned Quick to Master on a feat you can absolutely take later.)

I dunno. I dug through my old code dump for a bit, but found no explanation; at this point I have to assume my copies of the relevant files are too outdated to offer a diagnosis.
