New guild planning

So hey guys. Well me and a few guys have started up the building of a guild in the U.D the guild is mainly open... We are basically asking for a broader sense as to what a this new guild should RP. We have Already decided that the guild would oppose salvery and the Houses. So we ask what you guys think should be apart of the guild as we build it :D we have about 7 guys devoted to this already so throw us some ideas!

Bregan D'earthe seems to be abandoned, I'd suggest requesting the DMs to transfer ownership of the guild to your lot.

That way we'll actually make use of the otherwise barred area just outside Sshamath where they got their lair.

I have no idea if they'd support this move of course, just an idea =)

oh and welcome to the Underdark! I'm sure we'll have some fun.

Hmmm actually that reminds me that I need to PM all members of bregan dearthe. If I don't get a response their guild hall will be removed from Varalla's Passage by an unfortunate cave in. I personally don't like its location anyhow. Many new players ask if that's the way to the surface all the time. Its just confusing to some having a locked cave entrance there.

As far as a new guild is concerned with a good bent to it in the UD, you should speak to raetin about his tavern we will be putting in fairly soon. It is eilistraee based though.

First, if I were looking at your guild I would ask what is your purpose. Why do you exist? What are your goals?

Also, keep in mind that slavery is VERY prevalent in Sshamath. Going full on against all types of slavery would to be to go against the Conclave. What ever you plan on doing, just remember that open opposition against slavery or any other Conclave edict/law will have in character consequences for your PCs, possibly resulting in your expulsion from the city and/or execution of your PCs (perma/tempdeath).

@Ansient...Since we can't plan a guild in one sitting :geek: we are going to debate what type of structure the guild will be.. As stated in our 1st meeting a brotherhood would be a good RP guild in the U.D and this would be open to all races.

@special K....i have no idea who that is lol

@Amal'launim...thanks to a 'certain'dms help ;) i've already been put in contact with one of the last members of Bregan D'earthe and we are hopefully planing on using his skills for RP against a certain house (cough cough :twisted:)

@mar3usmc...we are trying to adress that reason first and foremost as to why we exist and we have a secret hiddy hole we can meet up for now but ill get to raetin :D also the guild will definatly have one very big goal that is going to be kept secret for now as we dont want to blow why we gathered in the first place ;) as for the conclave thats going to take a lot of work and time..We plan to smooth things along after several get togeathers...And to hopefully find a name for us lol...

@EVERYONE....through us some more ideas plz we are always looking for new stuff to bring into the fold

Hey, don't be telling people how to play their characters! xD, kidding. Ellith may talk if he is subjected to the right degree of physical pain and psychological pressure. Not only that, but I am sure the Yathren would be most pleased to oblige.

Nau need to rule out the possibility of revealing certain details... after all, he's getting more and more hungry every day!

Interesting. ;)

I'm more apt to encourage you to read the lore about Sshamath and brainstorm about your group's beginnings. So much fun to come up with a snazzy (but "realistic" in the PnP sense) beginning to the group.

Regardless, welcome to the UD. Prepare yourself for a hard road. Everyone loves to hate on the goodies in the UD.

The beginning is kind of happening now :P

I kind of pictured this guild as being a safe haven for anyone who needs it (namely non-drow, but exceptions would often occur) and a sword for hire type group mixed into one.

Honestly I am surprised no one has decided to start up playing House Sshamath drow, that house has continued to exist, ever since it lost power.

Good point eviloth, while they would, like all other quellars, be insignificant in the power structure of the city, they would probably have the most sway amongst devout followers of Lolth in the city. Perhaps even most of the priests in the Temple of Lolth would be of that quellar. Interesting to think about.

alright i passed this by some of the group and they liked it... So this will be a definite consideration. As for the morals of the guild we thought of a chaotic good type of band that works on their own morals and not others. It would be loosely organized and all could add their input but some people would have to have some jobs. I.E mercenary thing. The lore of the group will be hard as it just came together and honestly who has every heard of drow, gnomes, gensai, and duerger getting along in a hugging session and working togeather lol :mrgreen:
