*the letter is found in the gloura's wing tavern addressed to Qu'ellar Mori'hyanda*
To all of Mori'hyanda we have captured one of your high yathrins. She goes by the name of Vierra. She has not been injured too much yet and most of her wounds are heal-able for now. If your que'llar wishes it to remain that way then then dos will have to pay a price for her safe return. If any aggression is sensed upon any one of us, then dos will receive a gift from us. Perhaps a hand, a eye, a foot, an ear, or anything else that can be cut off from vierra. You have one day to leave us a reply.
*in blood* Signed Z

A simple note finds its way back - a cold acknowledgment, nothing more.
"Heretical faithless that you are, you will likely fail to understand how little we tolerate weakness among our own. We do not value Viera's life if she will be a liability to the Qu'ellar. Do not expect a ransom from the Ilharess. Do not even expect the opportunity to walk away from this alive. I can promise neither."
"An audience has been arranged. Your message will reach the right ears."
"Briz'uit Mori'hyanda, Yath'abban"

A little over an hour later, Briz leaves a few more words with the gloura.
"She listens. Proceed with the demand."

*hours later a message is left in scribble*
Usttan names the ransom at his contract price of 10,000 gold. Viera will be escorted to a drop off at a point and dos will receive her location. The gold shall be given to a cloaked man at the drop. this is our demands
Signed Z
*a 2nd note is quicky put in place*
Viera has been released. A higher power than us demanded this to be done.
her body will be found in the displacers layer alive. Do find her quick so she doesn't die
Signed a tired drow

Viera comes too after the repeated blows to the neck finding herself face first into looks to be a rib cage of a slayed creature from long ago. The smell almost reminds her of Displacer Beast hunting. However, from this angle it is hard to tell where she truly is.

Briz'uit receives the second message at the Gloura's and laughs softly to herself. Once she has returned to the House common room, she shows it to the Patron before crumpling the parchment and tossing it casually into a nearby brazier.
"Nothing like having a
friendly conversation with Zekaril on his way out of Varalla's Passage," she chuckles darkly. "Doesn't it work wonders, Ilharn?"
Seated at the bar with the Patron, she takes a sip of her wine and looks around the room, observing the dozen or so sargtlen assembled there. Eventually, she rises and makes a gesture for silence, raising her voice to speak.
"The ransom demand has been canceled, and Zekaril's heretical cowards have retreated for now, leaving the First Dalharil in the displacer beast tunnels. My team will retrieve her in whatever state of injury the Bregan D'earthe have inflicted upon her. If she is returned to us unharmed, we will end our operations there."
"If she has sustained significant injury, dos will have the blood promised - they will naut insult us without paying an equal price. In that case, Istinid and I will lead a second team later this cycle to sweep the tunnels in full force. All who match the descriptions of Bregan members
as posted in the entryway are to be systematically beaten to at least the condition in which we found the priestess. Anyone else we located at the site of Viera's return should meet a similar fate, and if we do naut retrieve her they are to be slain without mercy."
"As always, do naut speak of this to the Charnag. Any questions?"
((
OOC: We can assume this all wraps up pretty automatically. If Viera happens to arrive back substantially injured and you're in the Bregan, it's up to you whether Mori guards attack. Regardless, the sweep should be seen as a general escalation of tension and little more than that. ))

//Interesting RP yall have going here gents, I just want to give yall a bit of OOC heads up information to keep in mind.
First off, if you kidnap someone, don't post up the ransom letter in the Gloura's Wings. That would attract too much attention from authorities and it would make the School of invocation and evocation, the school who is in charge of patrolling the tunnels, seem like they are failing at their duties, which would make them look rather silly. Post that type of message on the door of Mori'hyanda's building or by some other quieter means (but OOC you can still toss it in the Gloura's wings thread if you like).
Second, feel free to kick the crap out of each other

, but make sure you do so well away from the eyes and ears of any guards and patrols, Charnag Maelthra included. Metagaming this will not be tolerated and expect severe IC game consequences for doing so.
Remember to have fun and and play nice, well, in a Drow nice sort of way of course.

If you lose in PVP, be sure to suck it up and RP appropriately as well.
Thanks for reading,

///hey guys just ignore the affilation part with Bregen...We never used that name and refered to them as the organization.. More than likely it is a simple meta mistake.....

After all why would a assassins guild say their name aloud
oh and for those in the underdark...prepare to see some fancy light shows and fights in the future

well at least more than normal

However a bigger problem you face, what assassin guild shows their prisoner all of their faces well accept for one member?

Mori'hyanda is well aware of the organization's name, having dealt with them in the past. They're also aware of the current affiliation of various members, Zekaril included.
Also as mar3 says: unless you want trouble with the authorities, if you kidnap someone you should send the ransom message to their associates, not openly in the Gloura's Wings (though you can use this forum section to post it)

i wasn't on for when bregen was on a year ago nor do i know what dealing they had or fallouts the had togeather....And yeah they should know how some of us look since we have bumped our heads a few times already

and i will admit using the gloura's wing tavern was a bit dull in the head

I'm guessing he meant it to be just some third contact in the Gloura from with whom Briz and Zek exchanged messages. Could be the bartender, could be any of the patrons. It would have been low-key, not a giant poster on a wall.

There have been a few fights already. They have happened once in the city, and DM Ansient was there to roleplay a guard response! As for the sweep of the tunnels, that wouldn't take place inside the patrolled area - Varalla's and Sshamath - though it still, as Amon's player will point out, would fall inside Conclave jurisdiction per se.

Will do!

It's sad because you're probably wrong.

Hehe. Can we retcon it into something low-key? Otherwise Zekaril would have been tackled by a bazillion Charnag Maelthras on his way out of the inn, and none of this would have happened.
