Resisting Resurrection

I need an executive ruling from a DM on the following question. Can a dead character's soul resist the resurrection of a cleric in the Baldur's Gate TSCC campaign setting if it does not want to return to the mortal plane?

There's this, but then there are the mechanics of the fugue plane, which seem to contradict some of the things said there.

This doesn't have to become a drawn-out argument about adherence to original DnD lore, just a simple snap call or a link to some kind of precedent, as we have players waiting on what to do with their characters.

Thanks. That's exactly the kind of argument I was expecting =P

The TL;DR version is basically this: "Yes, you can resist being raised if you so choose, but we will not implement this mechanically. It is on you to RP."
