Psychological description:
On the whole, Lylan'Synor is smart, loyal, life-loving, and brave.
On one side she is a kind-hearted, friendly, and somewhat mischievous Elf, who genuinely believes in the power of beauty, kindness, and love as promoting the way that the world should be. With a sense of innocence lost. Sticking to these values in recognition but stark defiance of the ugly truths of the world. Integrity; both intellectual and emotional is essential to her expectations of herself, and to what she expects from others to view them with respect. Even to those she disdains, she considers it her own strength to try and recognize everyone's better nature, if one exists at all. Believing that the many problems would be solved if everyone could do that.
On the other side, she can be fierce, confrontational, and unyielding; sometimes even ruthless and hyperfocused, when standing up to a cause she believes in or opponents she sees as a threat, ready to spar with words, or swords if she needs to defend herself.
Pursuing professions of hard intense labor like sailing and living the rough life of a warrior meant that Lylan'Synor was often underestimated and disregarded if not openly looked down on.
Learning to prove herself twice as hard to get the same amount of respect as everyone else, she isn't shy to bravely square up to a bully who might be more imposing and give them hell with unyielding resolve and ferocity. Mostly verbally, to those that she thinks still have hope. But sometimes with a knee to a painful area, a point must be proven. Never afraid to meet a blade drawn at her with one of her own. Knowing that even if she goes down in a fight; verbal or physical, she does not yield submission to another's aggression. Avarice along her path are tests only make her more vicious the further she is pushed.
As a warrior, she sees the need to pick up a blade and fight for this vision of a better world, for many dangerous monsters and even some people, will not let anything beautiful take root.
She has held many jobs and positions in her time on the coast and before that, and she takes each one very seriously. Ambitious and a bit of an overachiever, she tries to give her job her 110%, not only to deliver but to improve upon it. She knows how to keep a professional game face on. A day that she hasn't bettered herself or has done something productive would feel like a day wasted. Lylan'Synor appreciates a well-earned break, but she is far from lazy.
All of these sides as well as her racial and ancestral influences, all coalesced into one Sun Elf, who are generally single-minded, tend to showcase either extreme more than a balance of the spectrum. But can be quick to transition given the right triggers; she can be a b**ch, and a lover. A child and a mother, a sinner and a saint and she wouldn't feel ashamed. She's your hell, she's your dream, and she is nothing in between. You know you wouldn't want it any other way.
Meredith Brooks- I'm A B**ch, I'm A Lover.
Ne'Tahl- Heartblade:
Warrior for Love & Inquisitor of beauty
Image
Hidden: show
A path that is equal parts philosophy, ideology, and doctrine; that follows her heart in the pursuit of her warrior ethos. This path isn't codified, and Lylan'Synor doesn't introduce herself with such a title.
It is a part of her sense of identity that she has kept developing for the century since leaving Evermeet; Aiming to bridge the balance between the wisdom of Hanali Celanil, the guidance of Tethrin Veralde, her conscience, and the lessons she is still learning from her experiences in the Sword Coast, defending and fighting for what she holds most dear.
It is Lylan'Synor's hopeful nature, the caring for others, and the pangs of responsibility for defending beauty from being despoiled or for innocents to needlessly suffer; that can make her angry in a matter of seconds. Steeling Lylan'Synor's resolve to be defiant and unyielding with her principles.
The Sun Elf was taught about the nature of Good and Evil in Faerun as the Seldarine teaches it- and beauty needs the light of Good, to grow. It can be found in darkness, but it never follows Evil. Even as a carnal in an evil heart, beauty can only exist in space Good is allowed to bring light.
So despite her belief in second chances and the better nature of people, she recognizes that it is up to individuals to choose the light, but the mere potential for good in someone does not justify the victims that accumulate by their evil deeds.
She knows that destruction can take but a moment, but building things is a harder, lengthier task; the garden of beauty cannot grow while being choked by the invasive weeds of evil forces that block out the sun.
Thus the guiding principle for picking up a blade with the intent to end someone's life is inspired by a quote she reminds herself often: "They who are weak against the cruel, will end up being cruel to the weak." Believing a merciful heart that understands how to love is needed to temper such a notion and direct it to beauty.
And so she chooses to raise her blade and fight; For a better world, giving beauty the conditions it needs to grow.
"The time, will come,
When you will have to rise.
Above the best, and prove yourself,
Your spirit, never dies.
Farewell, I've gone, to take my throne above.
Don't weep for me, because this will be,
The labor of my love."

Primary Skills & Hobbies:
Swordplay:
Image
Hidden: show
It is her Art. The romantic epitome of herself and her greatest focus. It is more than her trade.
Once her blade is out she exalts in the challenge.
Joyfully filling the need to apply all of herself to the synergy between spontaneous flow, choreographed techniques, and strategy.
The tension, rush, and focus of battle lead her to rejoice in the adrenaline rush. Blows she receives only rile her up more.
Practicing regularly come what may.
Novice: She first picked up a sword with the Golden Blade Dancers; Her teenage motley crew.
Swordplay quickly became a love, an obsession, and a sense of purpose. And she was good at it- being agile and quick on her feet and most of all, being intelligent enough to devise and adjust her choreography into lethal precision.
She was diligent in training every day with her swashbuckling friends and trained under several fencing teachers in Evermeet. Leaving the Island for a life at sea; the Elf sought out teachers, opponents, and treatises on every new coast they sailed to adding to an ever-expanding curiosity for all techniques of dancing with the blade. Understanding how to infuse her dancing skill with swordplay through honed instincts had seen Lylan'Synor arriving at the Sword Coast fighting in a graceful whirling frenzy of insightful strikes; While her dance was deadly it was fought with a reckless and excited abandonment that saw her beat down and lain on her face most often than not.
Intermediate: Finding a proper mentor in Derik Ranloss she joined the Bldestone Foundation's martial school. The Elf spent days and nights and weeks on end, training relentlessly with Derik, who was unyielding in whipping the capricious Elf into shape. Teaching her how to analyze her fights, how to strategize her advancement, and how to fight in a team. Molding her into a proper duelist by the time of her graduation; able to take on several opponents at once and pay back with devastating blows.
With the help of Niyressa and other friends, Lylan'Synor took on long, challenging adventures she had only dreamt of, winning against foes she was certain would be her doom. And getting stronger with each trial.
Although her skill with the blade was always growing more graceful and deadly, Lylan'Synor had taken a step back on her dancing while in combat. She still did, as it was in the core of her style- but had focused on the blade and its motion, much more than the tricks afforded by complex choreography.
Losing as much as winning, the Sun Elf started making a name for herself around arenas and in tournaments- being known for her ruthless offensive and quick defenses.
Expert: Becoming a fencing instructor herself, Lylan'Synor began training others and training with them, learning more about swordplay the more she taught different warriors and learned herself of different styles and techniques. Participating in the battle lines of wars and skirmishes, going on special operations, and starting to command others in battle truly shaped the duelist into a fine and fearsome warrior; Getting practice in different martial mindsets and drilling not only the excitement of adventure or sports- but the responsibility of she who fights for the saftey of others.
Individually Lylan'Synor had expanded and deepened her obsession with swordplay. Studying the rhythm and motion of the dervish dances, drilling the treatises of fencing masters from Sembia and Athkalta, and training every day to regain the acrobatic utility of the dance amidst moulinets and ripostes- developing a more intricate portfolio as a Battle Ballerina in the arena, and a mobile frontline swordswoman on the battlefield.
Master: Lylan'Synbor only obtained true mastery of swordplay around the Times of Trouble when she truly transformed from a sportswoman to an actual warrior and soldier- both at the Bladestone Foundation and with Doron Amar's Mathora. Encouraged by Derik to step from under his wing and start commanding and devising her battle plans for either leading or following. Realizing the gauntlet facing her when the Times of Trouble began, she and Adrian went on a long and intense training routine to hone in and fine-tune their potential. Further seeing her accomplish a master level is drilling and training with the Mathora Velharn, getting tougher with military life, and learning the discipline of a warrior who is truly one with her sword.
Now at this level, Lylan'Synor's goals are to codify her dancing-fighting style into a proper treatise to pass on to future generations and develop all that she knows into a unique technique that it would teach.
"What more do I gotta win, what more do you gotta lose?
What more do I gotta beat, what more do I gotta prove?
My fists are all full of rings. My knuckles are scarred and bruised.
We challenge the way you dream. These hands have made mountains move.
Pressure makes diamonds, fighters love doubt.
NEVER. COUNT. US. OUT."

Theme Song: Vo Williams- Never Count Us Out

Her other Art. Loves to Dance whenever she can, alone or with company.
Dancing is so pivotal to her, she based her fencing style around it.
Even when performing mundane chores she is prone to sway or tap her foot to some rhythm in her head.
She can retreat for days to master a new choreography or develop her own.
Trained in a fusion of styles she learned along her travels, her core training is based on a style she calls the Golden Dance; An Elven ballet style that resembles modern interpretative acro-ballet.
It looks something like this.
Or this.
Novice: Lylan'Synor was dancing ever since she could walk. The highly energetic little Elfling would shake and wiggle and spin, amazed by motion. This passion quickly developed as Lylan'Synor had begun dancing lessons when she was still a girl. Learning from a young age how to listen to rhythm and move to melody. How to dance to choreography and how to improvise her own and quickly find her path in acro-ballet. The grace and difficulty motivating her in its beautiful precision, and her teachers were not soft or easy.
Her feet hurt and bled; growing blisters that popped only for others to grow on top of them. Hardening her toes into calloused hide and twisting her foot into the shape of ballet shoes. Luckily her Hanalite aunt taught her to mask the disfigurement with creams, lotions, and salves and the right application of makeup, but after a few days without them, her feet would start showing the abuse they have been through.
Moreover, the acrobatic training taught her control over her own body. How to hold it right and how to move most efficiently in space. She returned home every day with her whole body in pain, only to dance on it more to continue practicing by herself. it gave her peace, and focus. A natural remedy for her capricious mindset. The more Lylan'Synor advanced in her ballet lessons, the more she grew confident in her abilities to accomplish hard tasks, even at the cost of pain. And enjoy the pride of accomplishment, drilling away any sort of laziness she might be tempted to develop. and assimilated being a dancer as an indistinguishable part of herself.
Intermediate: Growing up to be a young elf woman teetering on the verge of adulthood Lylan'Synor's dedication to her art only deepened; Continuing her formal training but also forced to study the Arcane by her father- she spent days on end while she was supposed to study ruminating on her dance lessons in reverie, filling her notebooks with theoretical choreography or outright practicing her steps when no one was looking.
Several decades of a rebellious phase saw the sun elf running away from home to different parts of Evermeet; attending feasts, parties, balls, and revelries with the different inhabitants of the island and never missing an opportunity to learn a new dance or style, expanding her dancing portfolio to practice with more free and rhythmic and melodic dance styles and learning how to dance with her heart, not just her mind.
Practicing with the Golden Blade Dancers gave her much-needed foundation on the fusion of dancing and swordplay, teaching her how to approach a dance like a fight, and how to approach a fight as if she dances.
Expert: Leaving Evermeet and sailing the seas for nearly a century had seen Lylan'Synor on a determined mission to meet different dancers with unique styles and learn from them, seeing many teachers for longer or shorter periods, as dictated by the winds upon her sails. She learned the tribal dances of the far north, the high dances of humanity's elite, the different jigs of sailors and peasants, the dervish dance of the desert, and the acrobatic displays of Sembian rope dancers. Across every land she came across she desired to dance and to take her passion one step higher every time.
Years of training deepened her understanding of working her choreography into dueling, able to cut a dance short or extend it when she needed to. After over a century of ballet every day her feet hardened so much and her skill so profound that she no longer required ballet shoes to dance on points and perform that way as effortlessly as stepping on a whole foot.
On the Sword Coast, she learned the discipline to better entwine swordplay and dancing as she grew proficient in both, building upon her vocation with ballet, and working in the lessons taught by different blade dancers across the coasts of Faerun.
Master: Lylan'Synor's time in the Sword Coast had seen her progress to a dancing master; her motion effortless and precise, performing with an aethereal grace any style she dances to.
Her acrobatics had been honed to drill near-impossible tricks of agility and athleticism, learning to perform airborne choreography after jumping and treating any surface as if it were solid ground. Her control of her body in motion has become so good that even if she falls she never loses her footing, able to recover in the blink of an eye.
The fusion between ballet and swordplay has become so intertwined that they are in near-perfect and fluid synergy making her blade dancer in the truest sense of the word.

Engineering:
Image
Hidden: show
Ever since she has been interested in how things worked, especially moving things or things with moving parts. Part of her greater fascination with motion, and where most of the brainpower she got from her father goes; is the study of the world's "practical physics".
Novice:
What started as a small fascination developed at sea, when she learned about ships, how they work, and how to repair and build parts for them. An interest that saw her become a boatswain at the height of her sailing life.
Intermediate: Adventuring on the coast had seen her apply her capabilities several times; being a helping hand in the construction of the Warrior's Rest, and making the Siriene's Song sail-worthy again.
Showed interest in war machinery since joining the Bladestone Foundation. And interest that came in useful during the "Devil War" against the Infernal hordes of Dargonspear. Under Derik Ranloss' banner, she helped train the soldiers at the Gate with siege fighting against flying enemies and commanded siege units in the start of the campaign, aiding in the capture of some strategic points.
Expert: Her engineering skills were really put to the test during the Time of Troubles when Doron Amar had to hold off against an invasion that included a small army of Green Dragons. Lylan'Synor sought advice from many esteemed engineers, chiefly Bhor Stonecutter of Kraak-Helzak. After long research and trial & error; Proceeded to design several defensive and offensive solutions which held their part. For which she was recognized by the Elven council in Evereska.
Since then Lylan'Synor has designed and supervised the construction of the harbor Hope's Landing and the repairs of the lighthouse above it, south of Candlkeep.

Sailing:

Eighty-four years spent between ships had taught the elf to shed her Evermeetian privilege and embrace the sailor's life.
Assimilating this life to her worldview, she holds the bonds shared by a crew (or otherwise fellowship) are sacred.
The waves became the tides of wonder brought by Hanali Celanil. Mercantile voyages became adventures to exotic lands.
The sea itself for all its romantic implications had always been a passionate lover and sailing was a way to keep herself in motion.
Applying the determination and wit required to understand the ship and the sea. Serving in several officer roles, most notably that of a Boatswain.
Since arriving on the Sword Coast she had gone on several small voyages but for the most part, had chosen to keep her sea legs dry.
Novice: Starting as a lowly deckhand with a captain that agreed to give her a chance made Lylan'Synor eager to prove herself worthy to sail with the other Golden Blade Dancers. But after they left Evermeet into the open sea Lylan'Synor was doing all of herself; Embracing with wanderlust the prospect of the seas.
Despite her enthusiasm, the beginning was rough; realizing just how spoiled and sheltered she had been in Evermeet, despite the frequent clashes with her father. She was accustomed to straining effort from ballet lessons but nothing prepared her for the labor and toil that is a sailor's daily bread and butter.
Like any fresh sailor, Lylan'Synor too needed an adjustment period before she wasn't feeling seasick, but her determination to feel the pride of accomplishment, and make her crew proud, won out even on shakey legs and a nauseated stomach.
She messed up quite a bit at the start with feats that required raw strength until observing some of the more cunning sailors and realizing she could compensate for her strength by working smart.
However, her agility and acrobatic abilities also landed the Elf a measure of offset to her disadvantage, and a big advantage when it came to the athleticism required to move climb and jump about the ship.
Diligent in learning the work and doing it right, she made sure to learn and apply herself to be a little better every day. Her curious nature and interest in how that wooden box of theirs runs both mechanically and labor, got her invested in being more than just a deckhand that's on for the ride.
Intermediate:Her old captain recognized Lylan'Synor's potential and after years of proving herself had made her deck officer, and learning from him a bit of navigation when she could and becoming proficient with all aspects of sailing. Her duties as a deck officer never get to her head so she will become lazy in her chores around the ship.
In the coming few decades Lylan'Synor would become comfortable sailing in all but the most extreme storms, knowing how to understand the sea and its ebbs & flows and getting the feeling that the ground moves wrong whenever making port to dry land.
Expert: Her expertise developed after her old crew broke apart and she continued sailing on her own, finding herself experiencing long and short voyages on many different types of ships and in many positions. Her experience served to find her a better spot on the ship with captains who didn't misunderestimate the romantic elf, and those who did were quickly proven when on board came an elf who worked twice as hard as anyone else.
As she gained this experience she began assimilating the engineering and shipwright skills she had developed in tandem, and was able to find work on board directly as a Boatswain or ship engineer.
Out of a sense of personal pride, Lylan'Synor never let that affect her diligence in mastering all that she does and continued to develop her profession until the events that caused her to lay her anchor on the Sword Coast.
Since then, she had only a few chances to improve her sailing skills but still holds a dream to one day captain a ship of her own.

Lifestyle:
Image
Hidden: show
Art: She enjoys Art, music, and dance most of all but is also a big fan of the theater and of wordsmiths- writers and poets.
Performing: Going by the stage name Lily Summerheart, she loves performing; Either because ar artistic expression hangs on the verge of implosion, or just enjoying the attention of the crowd. She performed quite a bit through her years in the Sword Coast, even winning an open stage or two. She mostly dances and is known as a dancer, but has a good singing voice and can hold a melody on flutes or string instruments and tries her hand at acting once or twice; still knowing she is no bard, she performs other mediums of art as a fun little side hobby.
As mentioned, dancing is her primary performative vocation; the one she feels most natural in. She is known for showcasing a fusion of styles both choreographed and interpretive. Comfortable to Frolik through a jig or sway in ballroom dances, it is the acrobatic ballet that is her main most natural style. Her shows are emotional and graceful, spending as much time on her points as in the air, displaying long limbs in lithe motion, gentle fluidity, and timeless grace.
Friendhsips & Fellowships: Growing up an only child with a lot of expectations; her friends were always her refuge. This compounded and deepened when she left Evermeet to live the sailor's life for a century- growing accustomed to having little privacy and making a crew one's whole world for long voyages. Coming to the Coast and embarking on first an adventurer, and then a warrior's life had drilled even deeper the notion that one's close friends and fellowships can be as close as blood, and are sacred. Despite being an individualist most of the time, this has lent a collectivist approach to Lylan'Synor's mindset. Ironically it helps her understand the positives in the Elven collectivism she tried to get away from, by leaving her home island and mixing the wider world in the first place.
Balls, Feasts & Parties: She is outgoing and loves parties celebrations, and general gatherings of friends as both her hobby, and a way to live by her faith. Dressing up for a social event fills her confidence when looking at the mirror and joy at the attention received, delighting in the consequent compliments. Will often be found on the dance floor at such events
Gossip: Strangely enough, Lylan'Synor considers gossip as another form of love. Unlike friendship or romance, it is the nondirect seeking of the soul to feel connected to others and part of a community; its' mission is to touch the weave of love that connects everyone capable of it. It's also important to a duelist. Gossip is how their names become known, and how tales are made about them. Moreover, it's fun!
All that being said, Lylan'Synor has too much sense of pride in her loyalty to her friends, than to share things spoken in secret or be uncaring or undiscerning about what she says. Extending to her pride in her intellect, Lylan'Synor is careful to take rumors at face value, trying to employ critical thinking and make sense of bigger pictures. Seeing the difference between gossiping and rumor-mongering. Often wrinkling her nose at the latter.
Being on the receiving end of hurtful rumors and nasty slander in the past, she has some red lines she isn't willing to entertain and prefers to be corrective rather than spreading false rumors. Viewing the ability to admit being wrong and retract a disproven statement as a mark of strength and trustworthiness.
Politics: Seeing the intellectual interest in the game of politics as a challenge akin to plays in chess, Lylan'Synor's interest in politics does not lie in the sheer enjoyment of it. Instead, her sense of justice and the idealistic view of a better world is what drives Lylan'Synor to meddle in the social games of ideologies, factions, and courts.
Her duties since forming an identity as a warrior had seen her tied to one political faction or another in martial advisory roles. She accepts it as part of protecting the people she loves and loving her protectorate. However, the games of deception and espionage intrigue are something she avoids when not practically required; this path can lead her too quickly into becoming the person she doesn't want to be.
However disdainful, it is important to maintain peace and allow beauty to grow. She advocates for negotiation when possible, but views this stance carefully. She is a warrior at heart and knows that negotiation and peace, like love, take two sides to uphold but only one to break.
Her political alignment follows the same notion; Representing a martial view that considers security and safety the ultimate goal to support peace and beauty.
But not any enemy should be trusted to become an ally, and war awaits those who will not abide by peaceful options.
Drinking: Like most sailors, she loves to drink and despite her Elven physique being at a disadvantage in alcohol consumption, she can still hold her liqueur with grace. She Loves Elven wines, clear white rum, and interesting pallets of imported spirits. But keeps a warm nostalgic place for both Elven wine and cheap sailor's rum. She will disregard any claims that she might be an alcoholic and reach for another glass. Getting to a low point of drunken living a few years ago made Lylan confront her drinking habits and change them. She still drinks, but does so responsibly now and never starts her day with a drink anymore.
Fashion:
Reading: Despite not becoming a mage she grew up in an educated family and the habit of reading stuck.
Important to her to find time in her schedule to sit and be still with her book, she can be truly serene for long periods is when she lets her mind wander through the pages.
Adventuring:Finding it out only coming to the coast, this lifestyle compounds all the aspects above as she regards the coast at large as more and more as home with each passing dawn.

Romance:

She loves to flirt, especially with intelligent conversationalists who have nuance and grace, or life lovers with a bent for adventurous fun.
Used to have short-term flings of a polyamorous nature, but has since wholly devoted herself to her wife, Niyressa.
Lylan'Synor still seeks intimate connections with other people, but these days looks for ways to deepen platonic relationships rather than twirl them romantically. She considers love to come in many shades and forms and all of them is the golden beauty of Hanali Celanil.
"I won't pretend that I don't feel,
The way I feel.
I can't forget the taste of something that's real.
Step into my closet and maybe you'll find,
Something that'll scare you,
Something that you like."

Theme Song: Halesrtorm- New Modern Love.
Puffins:
Image
Hidden: show
Lylan'Synor favorite animal. To her the puffins embody the essence of romance that she would want to exhibit.
A puffin couple mates for life, but value each other's freedom and independence.
They take care together in an equal relationship of one chick, and then fly apart, or together.
They can spend month or even years apart, but when coming back home from traveling the oceans, they always know to recognize their partner and go back to the same nest.
It's Lylan'Synor's ideal to emulate their way of love, devotion and freedom in her own romantic life.
She has a suspicion this trait makes Puffins some of Hanali Celanil's favorite birds, too; considering all the beauty they exemplify.
Theme Song: MALINDA- The Song of the Puffin.

Niyressa:
Image
Hidden: show
Lylan'Synor feels every moment she gets to spend with Niyressa a near sacred one. Even after years of being married Niyressa's beauty, intellect, and creativity captivates the elf and can leave her simpering or blushing.
Lylan'Synor adores and delights in Niyressa's wit and mischievousness; "High Mistress of Arcane Tomfoolery", as the red head liked to call herself while caught in high spirits. A notion that only grew stronger since the woman's rebirth and her newfound feyish pranks.
At other moments, she misses Niyressa's tail and her cute little horns but never more or less.
On her part, Lylan'Synor feels fortunate for falling in love with Niyressa all over again, finding the core of their love not in her form, but her essence that brightens the Elf's day every time she hears her wife's laughter.
Lylan'Synor marvels and appreciate magic like the rest of her kind, but she knows she is not a spellcaster and probably never will be. But Niyressa is the only person who can give Lylan'Synor a lecture on magic, and not have the warrior tune out her brain to the intangibles.
" Let's talk about chemistry,
'Cause I'm dying to melt through.
To the heart of her molecules,
'Til the particles part like holy water.
If anything, she's an undiscovered element.
Either born in hell or heaven-sent,
But either way I'm into it."

Theme Song: Sleep Token- Alkaline.

Religious views:
She is faithful to the Seladrine. And to her personal deity Hanali Celanil especially, to whom Lylan gives personal worship. Since coming to the Sword Coast had begun personal worship of Tethrin Veralde as well. Praising both after victory for strength in battle and that beauty was kept safe.
The Holy Seldarine:
Hanali Celanil- Lady Goldheart:
(1st Primary Worship)
Image
Hidden: show
Even though short of the deity's wisdom like a priestess, she still tries to follow and live by Lady Goldheart's example and lessons as a compass for her actions. She considers herself somewhat of a Baguine who is devoted to her goddess; Thinking of Hanali Celanil as both her lover, her best friend and her role model. Hours spent in contemplation, ruminating on Hanali's Celnail's guidance and wisdom, and how they can be applied to the world.
Lylan'Synor isn't very happy that Hanali Celanil, a greater deity in their pantheon, who is second only to Corellon and Angharradh and is a whole third of the latter; Is often seen by other Elves as nothing more than a matchmaker. Seeing it as a failure of logic on their part, to neglect the all-encompassing philosophy behind Hanali Celanil's dogma and its place along the other Seldarine as a dominant force in Elven identity, culture, and mindset.
  • “Life is worth living because of the beauty found in the world and the love that draws twin hearts together."
    Hidden: show
This tenet sits at the core of Lylan'Synor's belief. Believing it to be more open-ended than seen at first glance. The beauty found in the world is an endless potential of light if one cares enough to look. A force that is powered by the heart's desire to be one with others around it. While the sentence itself relates to Twin Hearts as the epitome to be inspired to and a principle that pulls towards that ideal.
Any connection between beings that isn't motivated by evil intent, is motivated by the soul's most primal function of seeking others like it to join with. The act of "Twinning" happens all the time, in an intricate web of love that holds the world from succumbing into a total hellscape made of the world's darkest vices.
  • "Nurture what is beautiful in life, and let beauty’s rapturous glow enliven and brighten the lives of those around you."
    Hidden: show
Hanali's second tenet is seen by Lylan'Synor as a natural continuation of the first; that helps expand on it but also to infer its conclusion. Seeing the second tenet as phase two to the first. By nurturing what is beautiful in life, the Hanalite make life worth living for the beauty found in them. Beauty's rapturous glow might peak at the joining shared between Twin Hearts, but it can be found in its essence and its driving principle wherever it is nurtured.
It tells Lylan'Synor to always seek the beautiful and the good and to insist on them with patient care. Liking beauty to a garden that needs fresh air, sun, water, and the right soil to grow; Nourished by both attention to the healthy things that help it grow, and the freedom to grow in the direction that's right to that flower.
This tenet is also her strongest indicator that ugliness can be beautified, that blackened hearts can find their light, and that beauty can exist even in darkness if brought to the surface to blossom. But she also knows that to nurture means to protect, and sometimes to get rid of the weeds that choke beauty's roots and prevent the sunlight from reaching.
  • "The greatest joy is the rapture of newfound love and the tide of romance that sweeps over those wrapped in its embrace."
    Hidden: show
Lylan had seen this tenet through several lenses in her life so far. The century at sea and the first years on the coast had her decide this to mean new hearts and relationships, always pining after her heart's latest fancy, leading her to stick religiously to being polyamorous.
But this changed when Niyressa got into her life, and the subsequent journey they both endured to find their love broken and then rekindled. She now understands a wisdom she did not before about this tenet: That a new love does not mean anymore, a new lover. But rather it is a reminder to rekindle love between two souls every day like it was new. To never lose sight of making each other feel those butterflies, and search for new ways to love each other.
She is thankful to Hanali Celanil for letting her know both interpretations of this tenet in her life. Not regretting the past, but appreciating the present, and excited for what tomorrow may bring.
  • "Find love wherever it takes root, and bring it to its fullest bloom so that all may share in the joy and beauty it creates."
    Hidden: show
Lylan'Synor sees this tenet as proactively defining her mission as a beguine to To Lady Goldheart, and enforces the existence of of love on a spectrum, rather than a binary absolute of is or isn't. Of course, romance is the most obvious form of love here, but friendship, family, kindness between strangers, and a first-sight infatuation are all love. Loud arguments and fights between partners; getting angry at each other because caring makes you angry, is a form of love to the Sun Elf as well. So long as they are the solution to deepening the love by hashing out grievances, and taking the chance to care about them. Even a bagger asking for alms is asking for someone to love them just enough to not keep them hungry.
    Hanali Celanil, therefore, guides Lylan'Synor to be not only mindful, appreciative, and active in seeking. But proactive in deed as well as thought;
Deliberately trying to find ways to deepen her bond with her wife, her friends, and lately, those family members the rebellious elf returned to contact with. Forgiving in her heart, those she isn't ready to reconnect with yet.
The same notion leads her to do a lot to leave ex's on good terms, at least. She doesn't necessarily see relationships that end as a bad thing if that is their natural course; Sometimes a love's fullest bloom is a beautiful bittersweet closure, that leaves both better people at the end. To the dismay of the temperamental elf, this especially is easier to formulate as a theory than apply in practice, but she is determined nonetheless.
This tenet also guides the Elf's heart to meddle in others' affairs to some degree to aid those she loves to do the same, and her sun-elven pride does lead her sometimes to think she knows better than those she tries to help. Still, history has shown she has been right a lot more than she was wrong, and she is enough of a perfectionist to be harsh on herself in respecting others' feelings about her meddling.
This more often than not manifests in the sun elf feeling entitled to make it her business and ask, advise, or assist others in bringing the love in their lives to bloom. Either encouraging for hope, making sure to be a friend in times of need, or outright matchmaking.
This tenet used to lead her to polyamory in her love life getting entangled in the ever-escalating bloom of sexual tensions, but no more.
Now Lylan'Synor understands better the balance of love, and ever since she and Niyressa rekindled their marriage, she fully understands the fullest bloom of their relationship goes through devotion to each other in body as well as heart. She grew to love how more fully her friendships bloomed into their own when she wasn't sleeping with her friends. She still enjoys flirting and sees the light-heartedness of innocent banter between friends as a beautiful thing, but her heart really only pines for one woman. To both Hanali Celanil and Lylan'Synor- lust is secondary to love, and to some degree controlled by it. This causes her to view with disdain those fem fatals and playboys who mask their lust as love and are negligent with the hearts they break. Viewing them as harming Hanali Celanil's cause; not only by giving those who follow love a bad stigma but by actively corrupting love's concept in ways Lylan'Synor considers anathema to what Lady Goldheart is trying to achieve with her wisdom.
to inspire others with your love, and make them want the same feeling, she is planting the seed of seeking Hanali Celanil's truth in others, perpetuating Her worship and influence, whether those inspired know that they are secretly praying to the Winsome Rose.
  • "Always give shelter and succor to young lovers; for their hearts are the truest guides to life’s proper course."
    Hidden: show
Another source to Lylan'Synor's proactive meddling, and a strong reminder for herself that love should not be selfish, even while being the most selfish of feelings.
To Lylan'Synor, succor means everything from advice to shelter to even fighting on behalf of; if evil is what comes between young lovers.
But she understands this tenet has a deeper meaning as well; Hanali Celanil asks her believers to divine and understands life's purpose through such succor. This causes Lylan'Synor to be invested in the local romantic gossip and the ebbs and flows of her friends' hearts. There to be earnestly and religiously helpful to those who experience love in its young forms, and to learn from their experiences. Sometimes vicariously entangling herself in others' drama.
This tenet likewise hints that old lovers can become new again if the spark that caused the love, is being cared for and rekindled; This tenet becomes then somewhat of a guide to keeping a relationship aflame even through centuries, and that for Elves, is priceless.
Following this in practice, she lovingly invests time in her marriage- taking every day as a chance to remind Niyressa and herself of the reasons they are together and find new ways to express earnestly her love to her wife. laughing internally in joy at the grace she was granted, to find someone she feels so deeply for.
Corellon Larethian- The Coronal:
(Foundational Worship)
Image
Hidden: show
Like every Elf, Lylan'Synor grew up on worship of The Coronal as foundational to the worship of the Seldarine as a whole. His teaching, and guiding of Elven culture based the basis of her education as a sun elf, despite being raised by an aloof wizard and a Hanalite Priestess, and worshipping Hanali Celanil and Tethryn Veralde as main deities.
Her own relationship with her father made it emotionally difficult to engage in giving Corellon more than official worship throughout most of her childhood, and adult life at sea. But in the latter case, it is the foundational creeds of Corellon and the knowledge that she is a child kept safe by the hand of her All-Father was an anchor in Lylan'Synor keeping to a religious lifestyle among the humans and other races that sail the seas.
Recently, after seeing Corellon's power at work on the Sword Coast, and after reconnecting with, and fighting for the Elven community of Doron Amar she has begun paying increased worship to Corellon Larethian, and accepts more of his place in her everyday life and her place in his grand scheme for his children the Tel-Quessir.
  • "The song of joy and the dance of freedom shall ever soar on the wings of those who dare take flight."
  • "Guard against the slow death of stultifying sameness by seeking out new experiences and new ways. "
  • "Ward against those who seek only to destroy in their inability to create."
  • "commune with the natural and mystical world. "
  • "Be ever vigilant in force of arms and might of magic against banished darkness, and strong of heart against the corruption from within."
Deep Sashelas- The Sailor's Friend:
(Occasional Worship)

The sailor's friend is a close and intimate god from the perspective of Lylan'Synor. Rarely going out to sea these days; Lylan'Synor no longer prays or gives worship to Deep Sashelas as frequently as she did when she was a sailing, but still remembers fondly the century in which his name was frequently invoked on her lips in prayer.
She makes sure to pray to him occasionally still, reminding him of her devotion and praying for those Elven sailors who still sails the seas.
  • "Swim the great currents and the shallow seas."
  • "Exult in the dynamic beauty and life of the bounteous Undersea."
  • "Revel in the joy of creation and increase its myriad aspects."
  • "Seek not to hold that which is everchanging, but instead love the change itself."
  • "Seek out fellow swimmers who honor the ways of the Lord of the Undersea, and ally with them against those who see only the darkness of the deeps."
  • "Follow the way of the dolphin. Promote knowledge and use of the sea by reasonable folk, and fight those that would stain or deplete its beauty and bounty."
Tethrin Veralde- Master of Blades:
(2nd Primary Worship)
Image
Hidden: show
A teenage crush for the young sun elf who used to inspire her to perfect her swordplay. He still does, but after some years at the Coast; Fighting some wars, surviving others, and realizing her identity as a warrior and protector, Lylan's worship of the Shining One is becoming more intimate, personal, and frequent. His name is often on her lips as she goes into battle.
  • "The art of swordsmanship is a natural gift of The People; take that natural skill and work it to Mastery."
    Hidden: show
Lylan'Synor had felt this tenet as her natural path since first holding a rapier. She is one with her blade as they both conjoin in her deadly graceful dance, and is tenacious in her discipline to practice, learn and relearn to always keep her skills at their sharpest.
  • "Learn the intricacies of all manners of blades, and use that knowledge to benefit the elven nations and peoples."
    Hidden: show
While favoring the rapier, Lylan'synor has trained with a variety of blades, mostly in the course of mentoring others as a fencing teacher, knowing and teaching others techniques of longsword, greatsword, scimitars and even katanas!
Her loyalty to the Elven people and the Seldarine, even during the years of living apart from The People, was always a hardline, and she never failed to offer her blade and anything else she could bare, to assist the elven communities she has been around in her travels, even when such communities saw her as odd or vulgar after living with humans for a long time and adopting their mannerisms. This is especially true with Doron Amar, who she is now a citizen of, feeling her intuitive drive to protect the her people and their peaceful, beautiful existence. A drive growing stronger with her service to the Mathora.
  • "Show all the deadly beauty of the art of swordplay."
    Hidden: show
A dancer even before she learned to fight, Lylan'Synor dedicated herself to the art of merging different dance styles and choreographies into one fluid and wholesome fighting style that is equally a fast paced and mobile ballet and a graceful flourish of precise lethality.
  • "Mastery of blade and spell led to the creation of Bladesinging; Encourage the learning of this art and use it in the defense of elves."
    Hidden: show
The one aspect Lylan'Synor does not practice in full, as she once waved away the magical training attempted by her family. But a tenet she is finds increasingly important to facilitate the deeper her worship turns to Thethrin Veralde. While not being a mage herself, she did study and has learned to employ a variety of magical tricks through indirect means like wands and scrolls. Training to make the magical capacity she can substantiate to be a seamlessly practiced within her fighting syle. Furthermore, when with her wife Niyressa on the field, the two work together to synergize magic and martial capacity, be it with enhancements or tactical fighting.
Lylan'Synor holds great respect to Bladesingers, and act with a measure of demonstrative honor and admiration to their role in Elven society.
Angharradh- The Triune:
(Foundational Worship)
Image
Hidden: show

Traditionally, Lylan'Synor's family never worshipped Angharradh closely but rather like most Ar'tel'quessir, gave worship to her through prayers to her three aspects respectively. With her time in Doron Amar she grows to learn and appreciate Angharradh's place in the holy pantheon as the manifestation of the Triune, and began worshipping her more directly; but still careful to give each of the Triune Goddesses their own rightful weight and discern the reasons to invoke each one- invoking Angharradh when all three are needed.
  • "Through unity and diversity, there is strength."
  • "Be ever vigilant against She Who Was Banished and work together in defending the lands of the Fair Folk from those who would work evil."
  • "Celebrate the One and the Three for their collective purpose and individual expressions of life."
  • "Through the melding of widely different skills and interests, creativity, life, and artistry are nurtured and new ideas are discovered."
Erevan- The Trickster:

The trickster holds a fond place in Lylan'Synor's life. His dogma follows her own whimsical side and her fun loving nature. Appreciating a good prank and the need of lightheartedness to promote light and laughter.
  • "Change and excitement are the spice of life."
  • "Live on the edge, unbound by the conventions of society in a spirit of constant self-reinvention."
  • "Puncture the self-righteousness, sanctimony, and pretension that pervades orderly society with mischievous pranks that both amuse and enlighten."
  • "Inspire laughter and happiness, giddy silliness, and welcome release from care; so that the routine of day-to-day existence does not become so worn that it grinds all the joy from life."
  • "Celebrate the spontaneous, and practice random acts of helpfulness."
Other Faiths & Small Worship:
While Lylan'Synor is loyal and faithful only to the Seldarine, there are other faiths and dieties she occasionally gives small worship or thanks to, though for the most part, those are deities which she sees exemplify a comparison to the deities of the Seldarine; pondering their dogmas to better see both their differences, and the points of intersection. She generally respects the gods of light, good and to a lesser extent the law, but would gravitate to liking chaotic good or neutral good deities better. Her time in the Halls of Inner Light taught her to seek those points of intersection with worshippers of other faiths, to create coalitions of shared values and alliance between the races that strive for a greater good.

Sharess- Niyressa's Indulgence:

Sharess is a goddess Lylan indirectly worships thorough indulging her Sharessian wife Niyressa. She understands her dogma and sees the beauty of the occasional indulgence of pleasure, especially with Niyressa as a way to keep the beauty of their love aflame. Despite it all, Lylan'Synor was always too motivated by her heart, even when her love was more physical with others; to truly consider attunement to Sharess' preference for the gratifying over the profound.
Tempus- The Warrior's Spirit:

Familiarized with Tempus through Derik and the Bladestone Foundation, Lylan'Synor learned Tempus' dogma as a way of understanding the organization she among the leaders of. For the most part, she judges Tempus' dogma in comparison to Tethrin's and Corellon's. Appreciating the intersection in the focus on protection of the innocent, the readiness to fight for what is right, and the strive for self mastery all three gods exemplify.
Tymora- A Bit of Luck Never Hurts:

Lylan'Synor is fond of Lady Luck, and at times may invoke her either in irony or jest during games of chance or a risky endeavor, but with a carnal of truth in recognition she can only control the odds up to a point. Her dogma she appreciates for teaching to calculate chances instead of just taking them and the empowerment that resides in it. However, as an elf raised in Evermeet, Lylan'Synor is much more comfortable putting her faith in the Seldarine's destiny, rather than chance- especially in things that matter- preferring to seek the omens of her gods' plans for her path.

Nymph Blooded:
Lylan'Synor is Nymph-blooded, tracing along her mother's family for generations since Evermeet was young.
Lyre'ilyr'Synor's family knows about their blood but the tale of its origins has been lost to the family.
Perhaps there are family members out there who know of the family's Feyish origins, but Lylan'Synor doesn't.
Lylan'Synor only knew that she was a descendent of Nymphs or possibly Dryads. Struggling to balance her blood's peculiar whimsey with her life until she reconnected with her mother who showed her how to co-exist with her hereditary nature.
Blood Origin:
Hidden: show
The origin of her blood comes from Eidothae, one of the many Nymphs formed in Evermeets' pools and glades when the essence of Arvandorian beauty coalesced on Toril as the Green Isle, and Ainsaethil- a blind sun elf druid from among the first families to settle on the Green Isle. A keeper of her glade, who collaborated with the beings of the forest to be his eyes. His heartfelt playing of his lute when he rested at the glade captivate the Nymph; for he was playing the feeling of harmony emanating through the beauty of the Nymph and her glade, which he could sense but could not see.
Eidothae captured the Druids heart with her innocence and her kindness. Shy at first as most nymphs are, she slowly opened to Ainsaethil through the years.
A rare thing which caught Ainsaethil as precious, as his fervor to protect this pure beauty turned into a blossoming love, reciprocated after years of proven care and trust.
The conception of their children remains lost to time, as most details of this tale. But perhaps one day more of the truth will present itself among the written, and unwritten pages of history...
Feyish Manifestations:
Hidden: show
Lylan'Synor's fey heritage is not developed to its more powerful forms as most other fey blooded on the coast. Making her seem somewhat mundane at first glance. But she does bear some marks of her heritage that can be seen after some observation.
These are the ways Lyan'Synor's Fey Heritage manifest:
  • Her hair is the biggest indicator; hinting that "A Nymph's hair is magic."
It doesn't emit light but seems to shine a little brighter than hair normally does as it reflects light. Under closer examination (and it isn't hard, as he enjoys flaunting her hair) one can spot tiny flakes of dim golden light, softly flowing down her hair. Falling like subtle dandruff about an inch before fading into normal light. It isn't bright enough to be seen in complete darkness by those who normally can't.
Other signs include its near-constant perfect state, even in stressful and dirty situations. The rain never messes it up unless it's to compliment a wet look, and it always looks healthy, lush, and pampered. The Feyish Sun Elf is very attached to her hair.
  • Lylan'Synor's emerald-colored eyes have two thin circles at the edges of her irises. At most times and when Lylan'Synor is focused and composed they are nearly indiscernible.
But when in grips of strong emotion or delight, or when in close contact with other Feyish elements, the violet will gradually expand into the green with the intensity of the situation.
  • Lylan'Synor possesses a chaotic, whimsical side to her to her personality; reminiscent of the Fey she descends from. But due to her inheriting only a small portion of her ancestral blood, she is far from being a complete Pixie-head.
While Nymphs are tame in comparison to other Fey beings, they are still Feyish and capricious compared to humans, and twice over when contrasting the introspective nature of Sun Elves.
  • Lylan'Synor's blood calls her to appreciate and tend to beuty. She is taken by places of natural beauty, feels drawn to them, and has the urge to both help preserve their beauty and protect it. Other less natural environments and her occasional need to do something to beautify them, still have that effect on the elf, to a lesser degree. This can also come as a drive to help those she sees beauty in to bring it to the surface.
  • Just as the Nymph-blooded are drawn to beauty, they are beauty themselves, and Lylan'Synot is a fraction of a being that knows it is beauty. She is just as drawn to her own beauty. Unable to make onlookers go blind like true Nymphs, her blood still calls her to try and wow onlookers with her beauty and the grace with which she carries herself. She is drawn to bask in the attention and adoration given to her beauty and her grace, but this does not make her necessarily more drawn to the people who look at her that way; only to their gaze. .

Doron Amar: Captain of the Mathora-Velharn
Image

A Citizen of the Elven town; It has become Lylan'Synor's place of solace, and her sense of community. It was a long road with the Elves and within herself to get to a point where she accepts her kind, and herself as Elf. Growing up feeling choked in Evermeet, it is in Doron Amar that she can make a difference and drive a positive change to help the Elven People. There is some complicated history relating to Lylan'Synor and the village being opposed at times, especially over Niyressa a few years ago. But Lylan'Synor since then had amended grievances and despite a slight chip on her shoulder, prefers to be a voice that bridges differences and spreads Hanali Celanil's beauty among the Elven community.
Theme song: Geva Alon- The Wind Whispers (Love).
  • Captain of the Mathora Velharn:
Lylan'Synor fought and led some of the forces in the war Doron Amar had to fight during the Times of Trouble; For developing tactical defenses and designing war machinery for the elves, Lylan'Synor was decorated by the representetives of Evereska. Moreover, Lylan'Synor was offered to be the next Captain of the Mathora.
It was not a decision taken lightly, but since taking it, Lylan'Synor has done and continues to do everything in her power to see the reorganized Mathora Velharn well-supplied, well-trained, and professional.

The Bladestone Foundation: Deputy Headmistress
Image
Hidden: show
Lylan'Synor joined the Bladestone Foundation back when it was a school without facilities, becoming Derik Ranloss' pupil.
She came to the school an agile swashbuckling barbarian who danced in a reckless fury with her blade, but Derik didn't spare her the pain of her mistakes. Drilling discipline and formulated techniques that turned her into a proper duelist and soldier. Teaching her too, about the Bladestone creed and mindset, about their history and Ashen Wayne- whom Lylan respects as the founder, but she never met the Genasi. She considers Derik, Ronja (while she was active), Adrian, Vrok, Niyressa, herself, and those who stood with them; to be the ones that turned the Bladestone Foundation into what it is. During her studies with Derik, she spent weeks and months guarding and helping with the builders and construction of the Warrior's Rest.
She stayed with the Bladestones ever since after her graduation, taking on the mantle with pride, believing in their purpose and their mission; The Bladestone Foundation isn't a mercenary company chasing coins or an order of knights chasing glory or lofty politics. Instead, they are a Neutral organization aligned with the laws of Baldur's Gate. Made up of simple people who see the need to stand up for the common folk. Fighting for the ones who are overlooked, and often get caught in the middle.
Investing most of their time and energy in No Man's Land, patrolling it on its small villages and hamlets, and some of the Trade Way too; teaching the common folks to defend themselves so they need not cower to tyrants and monsters, taking to heart Derik's famed quote and believing it to be the true strength of the Bladestone Foundation:"A worthy battle is fought to shed blood for those who can't, and bleed for those who shouldn't."
and operating the Warrior's Rest and Hope's Landing so that those people have a trade hub from which to start making their lives better through increased commerce.
The Bladestone Foundation had its ups and downs, its troubles and its tribulations, fighting tooth and claw for everything it achieved. Lylan'Synor remains loyal to Derik, the Foundation, and its missions throughout despite everything the world tried to throw at them, knowing the harsh, but empowering lessons the arena teaches a warrior through sweat, blood, pain, loss, and triumph;
"This is my kingdom, this is my cathedral,
this is my castle, and these are my people."

Theme Song: Halestorm- The Steeple
  • Current Positions:
    • Deputy Headmistress: Becoming more involved with the Foundation's affairs, and proving herself over and over again for her loyalty, skill, and hard work, Lylan was promoted to be the Foundation's Deputy Headmistress. Becoming Derik's right hand and empowered to represent the Foundation's Interest in his absence, promote the Headmaster's interest, and see that the Headmaster can do their job in the best way possible. The title also saw her in charge of security over Bladestone Foundation facilities As part of it, overseeing the Guard's Captain's command and the Guards' general activities on duty.
    • The Bladestone Council: With the formation of the Bladestone Foundation's Council, Lylan'Synor as Deputy Headmistress was given a spot, seated by the Headmaster's right. She since has been active and proactive in her voice within the council. Taking on projects to assist or oversee, and involving herself in every aspect of the Foundation.

Recruiting the Elf to the Bladestone Foundation as his pupil. Since then graduating and through trial and effort, took her place as his right hand.
Lylan'Synor holds nothing but respect and admiration for her old mentor, who through the years had become both a boss and a surrogate father figure. He was the one that understood her warrior spirit and gave it form and purpose, instead of scolding it like others who tried to tame her. He gave her the tools to hone and tame herself, never forgetting to give her a healthy, often painful dose of perspective. She sees him as a role model in many ways and will follow him through fire. If she had any doubt about what Derik meant to her, it was purified during the Times of Trouble, when she was at his heels, seeing the Crimson Bulwark face off with the God Bhaal, managing to strike, and surviving despite the grievous counter-attack.
Although what really earned the Elf's loyalty isn't only the fighter's might, but his heart and dedication to good deeds and his integrity to embody his stated conviction to be a protector and his focus of a warrior's heart that fights to create, rather than destroy. His sense of honor, and the true care he shows the people of No Man's Land and Ulgoth's Beard, emboldening the elf's belief that there is justice and beauty at the end of Derik's blade.

What started with a weird question about the Elven diet and a fun challenge, evolved into an adorable date and into a beautiful love story that was close to ending in marriage, in the time while Lylan'Synor and Niyressa were broken up. Adrian and Lylan'Synor had been there for each other in each of their lowest points and pulled each other out. Despite their breaking up, they remain steadfast and close friends. They appreciate each other in their lives and become as close as siblings; Lylan is still considered "their daughter" by Adrian's family. There is still sometimes a bit of tension between them, but they are both grown-ups who are happy with the relationship they have and in the long run, just want the best for each other.
To say Adrian had become her best friend would be an understatement.
Lylan'Synor was Adrian's Mentor when he joined the Foundation; training his fighting skills and teaching him how to dance and incorporate the fluidity of motion that makes him on the battlefield, the deadly whirlwind of a thousand cuts that he is today. The two often fight together in a fluid, graceful storm of motion and expertise. Drilled on fighting as a duo.
"When the sun shines, we'll shine together,
Told you I'll be here forever.
Said I'll always be your friend,
Took an oath, I'ma stick it out to the end.
Now that it's raining more than ever,
Know that we'll still have each other,
You can stand under my umbrella."

    Vrok Drek: Battle Sister
    Image
    Hidden: show
Of all the warriors of the Bladestone Foundation, Vrok is the one Lylan finds most relatable to herself; Perhaps surprising given the Half-Orc from Kara Tur's vastly different background, or maybe because of it. Both women are foreigners from lands of vastly different cultures and values to the sword coast, are highly dedicated to the mastery of their fighting styles, followed by racial stigmas they were trying to overcome, and were of the same mindset about personal integrity as well as many other things a fierce and loyal warrior who tempers her rage in calm collected wisdom; Wisdom that often inspired the Sun Elf to look at things in perspectives she never accounted for. But what turns Vrok into a true Battle Sister for Lylan'Synor is not a metric of judgment, but an accumulation of experiences. Time and time again Vrok had proven herself a true friend, kind in judgment, and a stalwart protector with her Katana. Vork's battle prowess is something Lylan had always looked up to, as her skinny arms could never match the strength behind Vork's blows, and fighting her in the arena was always a treat for the dancing duelist.

Ar'Tel'Quessir: A Sun Elf from Evermeet
Image
Hidden: show
Lylan'Synor grew up in the nicer parts of Leuthilspar, in Evermeet with all the privileges and expectations that came with it.
Growing up learning they are the closest Elves to the Holy Seldarine; that it is equally her birthright and responsibility, to do and be better than her peers, and be their inspiration to do better themselves. That they, the Ar'Tel'Quessir have a glorious and rich history of old empires and ancient magic, of timeless ethereal grace, of the wisdom that is found in contemplation, of the single-minded passions & obsessions that drive true mastery, and of a fading often misunderstood place they have in the world.
Lylan'Synor took it all in, and as the rebellious free soul that she is, found her ways to apply it while other parts she dismissed out of hand. She believes all Elves are sacred to Corellon, and more importantly to Hanali Celanil- and recognizes that the supremacy granted through the Seldarine's favor is something each Ar'Tel'Quessir should earn if they are to live up to their creed of excellence. They have the spark, and the potential- but she sees them as needing to be leaders from among The People, rather than above them.
She couldn't wait to leave Evermeet, feeling choked and ill-fitting to the perfection of the island. Being unable to learn how to cast magic despite being from a mage bloodline had caused her to develop a rebellious side that rejected her family's ideals for over a century.
Her life at sea among the other races, forced into getting to know them during long voyages; had shaved off the disdain her kin share for most other races, even Half-Orcs and Tieflings. The latter two examples she insists have the potential to be better allies than Humans if empowered and seen to choosing the better parts of the human heart, half of which they possess. Still, she recognizes their assumptions to exist mostly on the macro, grand scale. These assertions will usually fall flat on the micro-scale when addressing individuals.
Lylan'Synor prefers to judge people as they are, yes she holds the expectations she was raised with, but the degree she thinks those of other races can be held to, given context and their own personalities. Elves, however, are to be held to higher standards- with the knowledge there are some things she can understand as an Elf herself, that others might take as antagonistic. Lylan sees it her Hanalite prerogative to try and mediate these cases- arguing that good souls have common values behind strife and disagreement.
Thus she believes that an Elf who is acting too haughty and dismissive toward other races is being both a fool and showing the uglier sides of The People. These Elves, she believes; should pay more heed to Hanali Celanil in their lives, and see the wisdom in showing others one's beauty rather than dismissing others who can be affected to make the world more beautiful. Yes, humans are fickle; But Elves have the patience to be persistent. In which she believes lies the true challenge of The People.
Lately, being more involved in the direct security of Doron Amar's Elven community, she hardened her tone somewhat and saw the logic behind her People's reclusiveness to the world. She isn't any less motivated that the answer isn't wrong, simply more complex. Carefully, the path to deliverance will reveal itself, she just needs to do well enough.
Still, hardened as she is now; she will fight tooth and claw in defense of Her People. Just like her mother used to do.

A Sun Elven family of minor noble repute, existing for four generations since the fall of Myth Drannor in 714.
It started with Ely'nae Symbaern who escaped with her family to Evermeet as a young woman and married Falaen'seor Asyrin, from a local family of arcanists who were among the first Sun Elves to migrate to the Island after the Sundering.
Along Falaen'seor & Ely'nae's union, they have been gifted a tower in the greater courtyard of the Symbaern mansion in Leuthilspar. Becoming a lesser branch of their own name, that since then had been researching for and advising the house in arcane matters. Not being an arcanist herself, Lylan'Synor is determined to find her own way to contribute to the family name when her time comes to do so, swearing to herself to make it of no lesser worth than studying magic.

Lylan'Synor's companionship with her dearly held pet started one fateful morning in the Wide when Lylan'Synor went by a merchant selling animals in cages. Usually she avoids looking at the animals, last she grows angry seeing them caged up and sold. But a certain motion caught her eyes. A young weasel hopping and flipping and doing a wiggly little dance.. those itty bity beady eyes gazed right at her, and the elf was captivated. Adopting the weasel and calling it Aroneavae- her summer heart's joy; or Aro, for short. The weasel has since bonded with Lylan and rcognize her as his caretaker. He can sometimes pop out of Lylan's clothes or pockets, usually when the scent of food reaches his nose. Lylan keeps him in Doron Amar for the most part, and he sleeps with her and Niyressa in their bed. But being just a normal weasel, she keeps him home when going out to danger for his own safety.

Despite it, the two were madly and sincerely in love with one another, foraging a strong dynamic and a true bond with one another.
The two got married under both Hanali Celanil and Sharess. From Hanali's side, Lylan's aunt Elayne officiated the ceremony.
Along the way they faced trials, tribulations, a certain rebirth, and even a period being broken up, but they never stopped loving each other, and always held on to a certain candle that kept their flames kindled, even in the darkest times. Act 1- Dancer in a Mage Tower or, A Silly Little Blonde Elf
'This is a story of an Elf girl that just wanted to dance.'
Hidden: show
Chapter 1: Home, Beginings
Hidden: show
Since she was born she loved to dance. Even before her birth, her mother joked that she was dancing in her womb.
Her father Fa'iaerl SyrAsiryn, a Conjurer with moderate esteem in Leuthilspar, tracing his bloodline to house Symbaern. An Elf most devoted to his research on the planes, in a tower overlooking the sea.
Image
Her mother Lyre'ilyr'Synor, a Ranger that frequented Faerun to help The People, had stopped smiling after four years, never coming back from a voyage. The girl was told her mother fell to a demon, and the girl's father smiled much less after that.
Asking about her mother caused her father to turn solemn, quiet, and reflective for days of weeping silent tears, locked in his study.
Still, Life for them was good. They had family and friends, and the Green Isle who cared for them.
Especially when Aunt Elaeiyn'Saethil was over, which was most of the time. Fa'iearl's younger sister, herself a teenager at the time and an initiate in the Temple of Hanali Celanil. She watched the little elfling through her childhood while her father was away at work. Keeping little Lylan'Synor busy, and filling her head with stories of the Seldarine and Lady Goldheart.
The girl had a sharp mind from an early age, and a wanderlust to match it.
Her favorite game was getting everywhere which was difficult or tall. Taking glee in figuring out routes of traversal.
Her father's family and colleagues from the tower always clapped when the young Elfling showcased her latest impromptu choreography and answered all the "Whys?" She had to ask about the world.
The girl was happy. Most happy when she danced.

Chapter 2: Little Elfling, Early Childhood
Hidden: show
The years went by slowly, as they do on the Green Isle. The girl was now forming opinions, and dancing instead of walking.
The little Elf's father realized she needed to start to explore her talents, develop ambition, and be educated in the traditions of the Ar'Tel-Quessir.
But still grieving for a loved one snuffed too short. He was terrified of losing another. Recognizing a common nature. The whimsical tendencies her mother carried in her blood; The Feyish Heritage of a Nymph down her bloodline.
It gave Lyre'ilyr'Synor a unique personality, so enchanting and wild among the haughty Ar-Tel'Quessir, the very nature that made her take that last adventure away from Evermeet. 'The one she never came back from...'
Resentment was growing in his heart at how the girl was growing up to look so much like her mother. He had to make his decision about Lylan'Synor before he lost his daughter too.
'I will not allow this. She must not know of her mother's blood, last she'll be drawn to follow.
She requires education. Yes, structure. She is Ar-Tel'Quessir. A Syr'Asiryn. She will study magic, like me, and my father and his mother.
She will find her place with her people. With me. Here on the Island'

Image
Instead of dancing freely, her father took her to his tower. Seeking to convert her wit to Arcane academia and her natural curiosity into intellectual drive.
Years passed as the Elfling sprouted. Half resisting and half failing to show any practical advancement in her magical studies.
The Elf's father grew more persistent and ever more stern, smiling less and less.
But wanting to dance, the girl would try everything to sneak out running to the shores of Leuthilspar. To dance and tumble and hum to herself to the port. To watch the ships that sail beyond the known horizons of the island.
Image
Chapter 3: Discovering Her Heart, The Actual Beginning
Hidden: show
It was one such time that our story can truly be said to start.
She was around the age when she started to notice herself blushing at the beauty of others. Her body and mind shedding the shapes and patterns of childhood to make way for adolescence.
The Elf was sitting by a cliff among evergreen trees overlooking the harbor, reading a novel about a Bladesinger and his distressed love.
The rhythm of the leaves and the waves and her voice in her head were suddenly cut by laughter and clashing metal as several figures danced atop the hill, caught mid-dueling with agility and rapiers.
Image
'When did they get here? How long was I in my own head?' The girl was thinking as two emerald eyes stood still, drawn to one laughter in particular, with a face so fair and lovely. The loveliest of them all.
An odd gust of wind blew the girl's book down to the waters and she blushed in light of her newfound clumsiness. They saw it too and it caused the lovely one to smirk.
Introducing their company as the Golden Blade Dancers, fencing romantics following Hanali Celanil who celebrate her union with Tethrin Varelde through the beauty of dancing swordplay.
Training their agile sword style in preparation for the first voyage of wonder and adventure that awaits some of the older Elves in their troupe.
He introduced them all by name but only his was important to the girl.
D'aeliryon the Moon Elf.
Image
'Pleasure' he sweetened his smile to the young Elf. He held a lute while the others had fine and ornate rapiers. Inspiring them for vigor. He strummed his lute when he introduced himself.
The Elf girl stuttered to reply as for the first time in her life, she had lost her wit to his strumming on her heart.
'You are welcome to sit and enjoy the company, now that your book is gone. Maybe we will even let you dance with us."'
Her heart fluttered at his words she could do nothing but nod.
She watched them train for weeks; the grace of their movements, the precision of their focus, and the quick smarts on display all had her mesmerized.
Lylan'Synor imagined herself in their place, studying them carefully. She knew then this was who she wanted to be, no matter the cost.
A knowledge backed by an odd sense of certainty that pushed her to her feet, and asked them to teach her.
The Elf had forgotten how the conversation happened but she will never forget her holding the rapier for the first time.
Image
Chapter 4: The Happy Years
Hidden: show
The Elf was cutting her magical lessons more frequently. Sneaking out of the tower to train with the Golden Blade Dancers.
She excelled in her studies of the blade, showing herself a promising student with a clear talent for merging her ballet into the natural choreography of dueling.
Image
She formed a circle of like-minded friends, the closest to her when she was growing up were two moon elf girls who like her were younger than the rest.
Elrien; the mischievous troublemaker who loved getting them in fun trouble, and Alarielle; the cheerful joker who was Lylan'Synor's closest dueling partner and always up for swordplay.
Together the trio reveled in improving their skills, gossiping about anyone and everything, and generally causing mischief around the streets of Leuthilspar.
Image
Not to mention getting closer and closer to D'aerilyon with every passing month. The two had admitted their affection for each other and began being a couple. Completely swept by his charm and wit and his tales of future glory twinkling in his eyes. Lylan'Synor's teenage daydreams were filled with Dael'yrion, believing she had found her Twin Soul. Around their circle of friends, the two were quickly known as 'the Couple of the group'. To the grinding of her father's patience.

Chapter 5: The Insufferable Vigil
Hidden: show
Time went on as time did. Eventually, the Golden Blade Dancers set sail for their promised voyage.
Heartbroken the girl steeled herself with hope. Enduring decades watching through the window at the tower.
Sitting in yet another boring lecture in grey monotony. Yearning for a special ship to harbor back at the city.
Image
Biding her time, Lylan'Synor practiced the blade either alone from the treatises D'aerilyon brought her, or when she occasionally evaded her father's gaze long enough to meet with Alarielle and Elrien.
Her only regular solace was the hours dedicated to her dance studies. Precious moments that she could just dance.
She promised herself she would show her progress to Dael'yrion upon his return, and was determined to make him proud.
Image
Chapter 6: Teenage Rebellion
Hidden: show
The Elf girl now nearing a woman grown. Growing rebellious and defiant in the long wait. She was no longer accepting of her father's bearings and academic expectations for her without stubborn protest. Loud arguments and the thuds of slamming doors could often be heard echoing in the tower.
Image
Alarielle was sent to the military academy, but she and Elrien were often running away for days on end.
They would travel to the rural parts of the Green Isle to frolic in hedonistic revelries thrown by Sylvan races, high on life and other substances.
Or riding between towns chasing trendy taverns to drink with young upstart artists.
Unknowingly feeding the whimsical need of her secret fey-blood.
Image
They will then be found, of course, usually scried upon and brought back home.
She resumed spending her time arguing with her father, dancing, and stealing chances to either train her blade or go to the harbor and wait for Dael'yrion.
This would last for perhaps a year at most until she found herself once more knocking on Elrien's door.
And the cycle continued.
Image
Finally, out of nowhere, that dreary time came to an end.
The special ship she had been waiting for anchored at port, and on it was her lover.
But this time, her father's patience had run its course.
Chapter 7: Playing Adults, and Its Consequences
Hidden: show
When Dael'yrion came back, Lylan'Synor ran away for the longest she had ever gone.
Thanks to some magical knick-knack in Dael'yrion's possession, the couple managed to evade detection for a full year and a day.
During that year Lylan'Synor fell in love with Dael'yrion completely.
They were two young rebels playing pretend to live like carefree adults.
Image
But not all good times are meant to last.
Fa'iaerl and Elaeiyn'Saethil were combing the city with scrying spells for a year until they were able to dispel Dael'yrion's trinket.
But at last, the unruly Elf was found.
Image
The couple were found along with their friends, In a gallery of a young sculptor showcasing his newest piece.
The new masterpiece was in fact Lylan'Synor's life-sized liking. She was captured in her natural, and naturist beauty lying down in a provocative pose from shining white marble.
Image
Fa'iaerl had the last straw. He dragged the Elf back home suspended by magic.
Once arriving at the tower he confined his daughter to it, reinforced with with wards and guards and alarm traps. Forcing her back to her arcane studies.
That proved effective. for a time.
Image
The Elf was relentless, in love and edging to dance and duel.
Decades were spent in futile efforts to turn the Elf into a wizard.
All for naught as she would find the most desperate attempts to run away which now failed as much as succeeded.
They took all she had just to get her foot out the door. When it succeeded, it was more often than not with Aunt Elayne'Saethil's secret help. Giving her Hanali Celanil's blessing to go see her lovers, for however long she can buy her. And thus, the cycle continued.
But the Elf girl didn't care. She was in love and it blossomed. And she was nothing if not as stubborn as her father.
knowing absolute freedom and exciting bliss are the short bursts of hours or sometimes days allowed her with Dael'yrion and her friends between recaptures.

Trying to be less pronounced and flashy, and not bask or pride herself when she did well. But it never seemed to be enough.

Praying often to Hanali Celanil, the golden heart amulet given by her aunt held in her hand, wishing the priestess was there to give her guidance.
She began to notice he never practiced with the rest, finding constant excuses to slack on his duties on the ship.
Still, he was funny and kept everyone's spirits up.
And he was SO pretty!
'I could be our sword, and he will be our song.' She thought.
'I am strong enough to carry us both. He can show his strength elsewhere.'
And it worked, for a time.

They were leaving port when the captain laid a new map on the table, that was won at a card game.
Sailing to their greatest adventure yet that would forever change their lives.
Image
Following the map for weeks before they spotted a small enclave of uncharted islands.
When the crew drew closer to shore they were beset not by the humanoid races that traded or raided the seas, but by prowling patrols of Sahuagin!
Boarding the ship with blood in their eyes, it caused a new kind of tension to spike up Lylan'Synor's back.
'This isn't training anymore. It's us or them.'
She whirled and tumbled around the spear of a Sahuagin. Leaped behind him to deliver a deadly strike.
All of her life led her to this moment of peak focus.
It was the first enemy to fall to her blade.
She watched the corpse a short moment before the whiling winds of battle swept her to continue flowing in her deadly choreography.
'Do or Die. And I did.'
By the time the ship made it close enough to shore and small boats were lowered, she felt a strange kind of euphoria as tension left her spine.
It was clear, she was addicted to the fight and the danger.
'Craving for a challenge to meet, survive and prevail.'

Contained by various valuables of shapes, sizes, and differing worth; the captain offered to convert it at a bank. Splitting it among them in coins or golden trade bars.
It was Dael'yrion, who first objected to the idea. Discrediting it out of mistrust of banks and bankers.
'Greedy bastards who just want to rob you of commissions.' He argued.
The crew soon descended to nerve-wracking arguments over what to do with the loot.
Some called for orderly distribution managed by the captain.
The others for a free-form distribution that has no hands touching it but the crew, spearheaded persistently by D'aerilyon.
Image
It occurred to her that Dael'yrion had missed entire battles on the ship, only emerging from below deck at its end. And that when out exploring, he stayed behind as a lookout whenever heading to danger.
Image
'unfaithful'.
Was the word he used when Lylan'Synor saw the logic in the captain's way, and it shook her to her core and made her feel small and broken.
How could she be unfaithful to her Twin Soul!? She has to make it right. She has to make him love her again.
So she has to prove to him her love.
'You love this Elf.' She reminded herself resolutely in tearful prayer after another fight.
'Don't be disloyal by doubting him.'.

Chapter 14: A Loyal Heart Above All Else
Hidden: show
Lylan'Synor found herself pushing her Lover's idea alongside him, thrusting herself head first just not to hear those angry scolding words that made her hate herself.
Fighting with her friends in relentless arguments that devolved into shouting matches.
Even putting at risk the crew's unity to stand by her love, which won her more than one old friend who refused to speak to her.
Image
At the culmination of tense two weeks, the night before as the ship reached her next port, the captain and Lylan had a talk trying to find a solution.
They negotiated all night, and in the morning, as the port was clearly seen, the two emerged from the captain's quarters with a plan.
Image
The Captain announced that each crewmate gets a docking allowance for the tenday the ship will dock, keeping the rest locked behind several locks physical and magical alike. Because of the risk to the treasure in the belly of the ship the tenday it will dock, one crewmate will stay on the ship and guard that no one enters the ship or makes it close to the chest.
At the end of that tenday, the treasure will be split as is, between the crew. Any crewmate who would like to deposit in a bank can do so before the ship departs at evening tide.
Image
Lylan'Synor volunteered to stay that fortnight on the vessel to guard the chest.
She was loyal and trustworthy and the crew respected her dedication, knowing it wouldn't be easy for the energetic whimsical elf.
Lylan'Synor for her part bravely promised to keep her vigilance.
Image
Chapter 15: Diligant Elf, Small Vices
Hidden: show
The days when the dock was busy with people, weren't so bad.
Lylan'Synor would chat to passersby folk, and her crewmates would keep her company in hours of boredom.
Image
But at night, when all fell dark and silent, everything bathed in Sehanine's light and the only sound was the music of the wind; she did the best she could to not get bored and climb the masts or train her blade or dance by herself.
Image
D'aerilyon came every night for half a night to keep her company and entertain her with jests, music, wine, and love.
On the third night, he brought her a small magical music box. But by the fifth, it broke down; its rechargeable magical energy was depleted.
Image
Chapter 16: Seduction of an Elf
Hidden: show
On the ninth night before the tenth day, lylan'Synor all but hung upside down from the crow's nest.
She was musing about underwater seagulls and whether or not they have scales or feathers when D'aerilyon came to deliver her from boredom.
In his hands he carried a prized possession; a whole cask of wine!
Image
'A gift to my vigilant Beauty, The Golden Sun that keeps our golden coins secured. You deserve it after this harrowing week'
' You make it worth everything my love, breeding confidence in my creeping self-doubt.' She wanted to tell him but decided against it.
He grew impatient when she got reflective. Her incessant silliness will only annoy him.
'He is good to me whilst i'm terrible. I need to be better for him.'
Image
So she let herself be swayed by the winds of her emotion. Sailing with her love's passion, displacing the grey, terrible boredom in a night of whimsical joy.
Trusting him completely as they spoke with flirty banter, danced with all their youthful lust for life, and made each other laugh so hard that Lylan'Synor thought she would faint.
Image
And drinking all the while.
Lylan'Synor lost herself in spirits and his face, his laughter and the butterflies he mnade her feel.
They both fell laughing in a sweet embrace, their eyes meeting, a long, hazy stare, and the warmth of his kiss.
Falling into a hazy night in the drunken embrace of her true love.
Image
Chapter 17: Rude Awakening to a Lonely Life of Love
Hidden: show
Lylan'Synor was roused from drunken slumber by her crew on the tenth day.
She Woke to a staggering realization, still hungover on deck with nothing but fur blankets to her.
D'aerilyon vanished during the night. The treasure vanished with him.
Image
The crew's anger turned to Lylan'Synor. the one that promised to keep it.
The one who pushed for this whole setup. And she had failed them.
Those who did not accuse her of cooperating with the greedy Moon Elf simply could not trust her anymore. Being let down after being led to trust her.
Chiefly among them, was the captain.

No charges were made or retribution handled to her.
At least this courtesy was handed to her by the Captain, who took an indefinite shore leave.
The crew dispersed their own way in the coming weeks.
The broken Lylan'Synor drank herself for as long as her allowance could afford.
Then found the next ship leaving port that would take her.

Act 3- Vision of Beauty in A Hidden Heartbeat or, An Elf's journey begins.
'This is a story about an Elf woman who lost the meaning of Love. Only to find it in herself'
Hidden: show
Four more decades would Lyan'Synor flow with the motions. Moving from coast to coast and ship to ship.
Her Blade and her practice of the Dance, her only true companions.
Sailing with other races expanded her horizons and normalized her mannerisms to those of the world beyond the Elven haven she grew up in.
Developing a rough exterior when necessary and fierce in demanding the respect of those who looked down on the frail-looking Sun Elf toiling on the ship. By proof of action, and an occasional low blow to a soft spot. She did her work on the ship dutifully and excellently.
She would find someone on deck (or two) to date and leave them on port. Drinking thirstily the highest peak of love they could share. Then shed them on their way once they made port. With sweet gratitude but also a casualness, that regarded them as nothing more than yesterday's whimsy.
Not wanting to be saddened by goodbyes and not daring to attach her broken heart to even more pieces. She would love and leave.
She otherwise mingled with whichever random crew she was with. Thankful for brief moments of distraction from the shards her heart lay in.
A heart I once thought of as Golden.
But slowly, gradually as time does its thing. She became better.
She could still love. For she was still Lylan'Synor. But love to her became a powerful transient essence in the universe, to be attached to at certain moments and intersections and exalt. Not a strong foundation bound to one soul to guide transcendence.
And this new view slowly began to withdraw its guilt as she let herself love a little bit more each time. Perhaps she was learning.
'And perhaps the Seladrine watch over their children and guild their winds to safety.' She thought as she chanced upon new ship in a recurring port after forty years of aimless travel. A vessel named The Starshine Maiden.
She found work on it and discovered it had a healer on board. A wandering priestess of Hanali Celanil, out on her own mission.
She nursed Lylan'Synor's heart for years, vowing to mend her heart.
Teaching her to deal with her own heart head-on, as she deals with the dangers she faces.
To understand the love that is given to her and the love she is giving.
And to choose to give it without bounds, but realizing its path.
Controlling Love instead of love controlling her.
Smart, and relentless once taking a task upon herself. She assimilated the priestess' teachings to her own views.
Lylan is unable to cast a single spell, arcane or divine. Instead to take the teachings to mind, using the natural gift the Salderine blessed her with. The free will to choose and act as her deity would, and by her wisdom. And keen thought to discern it.
Anticlimactically as the months went by, she relearned
In those four years, whilst loading merchandise bound for Calimport. It dawned on Lyaln. I had been on board the same ship for four years now.
Their Starshine Maiden's voyage south was interrupted by a raiding pirate ship. While they were not deadly warriors they had a powerful Conjurer on deck that broke through the ship's wards and teleported into the belly of the ship, stealing not only the merchandise but most of the ship's provisions as well.
The captain decided to harbor at the nearest port for a week whilst they resupplied and figured out the mess with Calimshani Merchants not getting their supplies.
Their maps showed a famed Port City called Baldur's Gate in a land named The Sword Coast.
Lylan'Synor was at the crow's nest around dawn when the Starshine Maiden came into view of the land. Her emerald eyes took in the sight as a golden moment imploded in her heart in the space of missing a beat.
'A silhouette of the coastline, tiny at first, black on orange against the dawning sun.
Rays of light hit the rough exterior of the mountainous, rainy, and dangerous landscape. Shifting as they do, slicing the coast in stripes of black against shimmering gold.
Hinting, a hidden secret. Undiscovered beauty glimpsed by a convergence of light, caught in the eternal moment of a single missed pulse. A beauty that beckoned the Silly Little Elf, find it.
Potential struck the broken Elf, beyond the obscuring mists of the coast's silhouette. Glimmering dots of golden light cry A Rebirth to Adventure, teasing her to challenge the darkness to reveal the light.
An obscure whisper, promised by Hanali Celanil in the goosebumps along her spine and the fluster of her heartbeat, was made crystal clear. Ushering An Elf's journey's beginning.
As clear as the waters of Evergold depicted in her shrines. Reflected against two deep pools of emerald. An eternal moment in a missed heartbeat. Granting resolution to mend the cracks of her broken heart with the golden lining of love.'

Lylan'synor found she had made her decision when she again stood amidst time, listening to the wind and the waves from atop the crow's nest. Looking at a rugged coast of rough exterior and frequent rains, soaking a few hours of sunlight after dawn.
It is usually in tales of adventures finding their heroes' journey, that Act 3 concludes the story.
But for Lylan'Synor Syr'Asiryn, 'An Elf's Journey Begins.'
