On the whole, Lylan'Synor is smart, loyal, life-loving, and brave.
On one side she is a kind-hearted, friendly, and somewhat mischievous Elf, who genuinely believes in the power of beauty, kindness, and love as promoting the way that the world should be. With a sense of innocence lost. Sticking to these values in recognition but stark defiance of the ugly truths of the world. Integrity; both intellectual and emotional is essential to her expectations of herself, and to what she expects from others to view them with respect. Even to those she disdains, she considers it her own strength to try and recognize everyone's better nature, if one exists at all. Believing that the many problems would be solved if everyone could do that.
On the other side, she can be fierce, confrontational, and unyielding; sometimes even ruthless and hyperfocused, when standing up to a cause she believes in or opponents she sees as a threat, ready to spar with words, or swords if she needs to defend herself.
Pursuing professions of hard intense labor like sailing and living the rough life of a warrior meant that Lylan'Synor was often underestimated and disregarded if not openly looked down on.
Learning to prove herself twice as hard to get the same amount of respect as everyone else, she isn't shy to bravely square up to a bully who might be more imposing and give them hell with unyielding resolve and ferocity. Mostly verbally, to those that she thinks still have hope. But sometimes with a knee to a painful area, a point must be proven. Never afraid to meet a blade drawn at her with one of her own. Knowing that even if she goes down in a fight; verbal or physical, she does not yield submission to another's aggression. Avarice along her path are tests only make her more vicious the further she is pushed.
As a warrior, she sees the need to pick up a blade and fight for this vision of a better world, for many dangerous monsters and even some people, will not let anything beautiful take root.
She has held many jobs and positions in her time on the coast and before that, and she takes each one very seriously. Ambitious and a bit of an overachiever, she tries to give her job her 110%, not only to deliver but to improve upon it. She knows how to keep a professional game face on. A day that she hasn't bettered herself or has done something productive would feel like a day wasted. Lylan'Synor appreciates a well-earned break, but she is far from lazy.
All of these sides as well as her racial and ancestral influences, all coalesced into one Sun Elf, who are generally single-minded, tend to showcase either extreme more than a balance of the spectrum. But can be quick to transition given the right triggers; she can be a b**ch, and a lover. A child and a mother, a sinner and a saint and she wouldn't feel ashamed. She's your hell, she's your dream, and she is nothing in between. You know you wouldn't want it any other way.
Meredith Brooks- I'm A B**ch, I'm A Lover.
Ne'Tahl- Heartblade:
Warrior for Love & Inquisitor of beauty ![]() Hidden: show A path that is equal parts philosophy, ideology, and doctrine; that follows her heart in the pursuit of her warrior ethos. This path isn't codified, and Lylan'Synor doesn't introduce herself with such a title. It is a part of her sense of identity that she has kept developing for the century since leaving Evermeet; Aiming to bridge the balance between the wisdom of Hanali Celanil, the guidance of Tethrin Veralde, her conscience, and the lessons she is still learning from her experiences in the Sword Coast, defending and fighting for what she holds most dear. It is Lylan'Synor's hopeful nature, the caring for others, and the pangs of responsibility for defending beauty from being despoiled or for innocents to needlessly suffer; that can make her angry in a matter of seconds. Steeling Lylan'Synor's resolve to be defiant and unyielding with her principles. The Sun Elf was taught about the nature of Good and Evil in Faerun as the Seldarine teaches it- and beauty needs the light of Good, to grow. It can be found in darkness, but it never follows Evil. Even as a carnal in an evil heart, beauty can only exist in space Good is allowed to bring light. So despite her belief in second chances and the better nature of people, she recognizes that it is up to individuals to choose the light, but the mere potential for good in someone does not justify the victims that accumulate by their evil deeds. She knows that destruction can take but a moment, but building things is a harder, lengthier task; the garden of beauty cannot grow while being choked by the invasive weeds of evil forces that block out the sun. Thus the guiding principle for picking up a blade with the intent to end someone's life is inspired by a quote she reminds herself often: "They who are weak against the cruel, will end up being cruel to the weak." Believing a merciful heart that understands how to love is needed to temper such a notion and direct it to beauty. And so she chooses to raise her blade and fight; For a better world, giving beauty the conditions it needs to grow.

Swordplay:
![]() Hidden: show It is her Art. The romantic epitome of herself and her greatest focus. It is more than her trade. Once her blade is out she exalts in the challenge. Joyfully filling the need to apply all of herself to the synergy between spontaneous flow, choreographed techniques, and strategy. The tension, rush, and focus of battle lead her to rejoice in the adrenaline rush. Blows she receives only rile her up more. Practicing regularly come what may. Novice: She first picked up a sword with the Golden Blade Dancers; Her teenage motley crew. Swordplay quickly became a love, an obsession, and a sense of purpose. And she was good at it- being agile and quick on her feet and most of all, being intelligent enough to devise and adjust her choreography into lethal precision. She was diligent in training every day with her swashbuckling friends and trained under several fencing teachers in Evermeet. Leaving the Island for a life at sea; the Elf sought out teachers, opponents, and treatises on every new coast they sailed to adding to an ever-expanding curiosity for all techniques of dancing with the blade. Understanding how to infuse her dancing skill with swordplay through honed instincts had seen Lylan'Synor arriving at the Sword Coast fighting in a graceful whirling frenzy of insightful strikes; While her dance was deadly it was fought with a reckless and excited abandonment that saw her beat down and lain on her face most often than not. Intermediate: Finding a proper mentor in Derik Ranloss she joined the Bldestone Foundation's martial school. The Elf spent days and nights and weeks on end, training relentlessly with Derik, who was unyielding in whipping the capricious Elf into shape. Teaching her how to analyze her fights, how to strategize her advancement, and how to fight in a team. Molding her into a proper duelist by the time of her graduation; able to take on several opponents at once and pay back with devastating blows. With the help of Niyressa and other friends, Lylan'Synor took on long, challenging adventures she had only dreamt of, winning against foes she was certain would be her doom. And getting stronger with each trial. Although her skill with the blade was always growing more graceful and deadly, Lylan'Synor had taken a step back on her dancing while in combat. She still did, as it was in the core of her style- but had focused on the blade and its motion, much more than the tricks afforded by complex choreography. Losing as much as winning, the Sun Elf started making a name for herself around arenas and in tournaments- being known for her ruthless offensive and quick defenses. Expert: Becoming a fencing instructor herself, Lylan'Synor began training others and training with them, learning more about swordplay the more she taught different warriors and learned herself of different styles and techniques. Participating in the battle lines of wars and skirmishes, going on special operations, and starting to command others in battle truly shaped the duelist into a fine and fearsome warrior; Getting practice in different martial mindsets and drilling not only the excitement of adventure or sports- but the responsibility of she who fights for the saftey of others. Individually Lylan'Synor had expanded and deepened her obsession with swordplay. Studying the rhythm and motion of the dervish dances, drilling the treatises of fencing masters from Sembia and Athkalta, and training every day to regain the acrobatic utility of the dance amidst moulinets and ripostes- developing a more intricate portfolio as a Battle Ballerina in the arena, and a mobile frontline swordswoman on the battlefield. Master: Lylan'Synbor only obtained true mastery of swordplay around the Times of Trouble when she truly transformed from a sportswoman to an actual warrior and soldier- both at the Bladestone Foundation and with Doron Amar's Mathora. Encouraged by Derik to step from under his wing and start commanding and devising her battle plans for either leading or following. Realizing the gauntlet facing her when the Times of Trouble began, she and Adrian went on a long and intense training routine to hone in and fine-tune their potential. Further seeing her accomplish a master level is drilling and training with the Mathora Velharn, getting tougher with military life, and learning the discipline of a warrior who is truly one with her sword. Now at this level, Lylan'Synor's goals are to codify her dancing-fighting style into a proper treatise to pass on to future generations and develop all that she knows into a unique technique that it would teach.

Dancing:
![]() Hidden: show Her other Art. Loves to Dance whenever she can, alone or with company. Dancing is so pivotal to her, she based her fencing style around it. Even when performing mundane chores she is prone to sway or tap her foot to some rhythm in her head. She can retreat for days to master a new choreography or develop her own. Trained in a fusion of styles she learned along her travels, her core training is based on a style she calls the Golden Dance; An Elven ballet style that resembles modern interpretative acro-ballet. It looks something like this. Or this. Novice: Lylan'Synor was dancing ever since she could walk. The highly energetic little Elfling would shake and wiggle and spin, amazed by motion. This passion quickly developed as Lylan'Synor had begun dancing lessons when she was still a girl. Learning from a young age how to listen to rhythm and move to melody. How to dance to choreography and how to improvise her own and quickly find her path in acro-ballet. The grace and difficulty motivating her in its beautiful precision, and her teachers were not soft or easy. Her feet hurt and bled; growing blisters that popped only for others to grow on top of them. Hardening her toes into calloused hide and twisting her foot into the shape of ballet shoes. Luckily her Hanalite aunt taught her to mask the disfigurement with creams, lotions, and salves and the right application of makeup, but after a few days without them, her feet would start showing the abuse they have been through. Moreover, the acrobatic training taught her control over her own body. How to hold it right and how to move most efficiently in space. She returned home every day with her whole body in pain, only to dance on it more to continue practicing by herself. it gave her peace, and focus. A natural remedy for her capricious mindset. The more Lylan'Synor advanced in her ballet lessons, the more she grew confident in her abilities to accomplish hard tasks, even at the cost of pain. And enjoy the pride of accomplishment, drilling away any sort of laziness she might be tempted to develop. and assimilated being a dancer as an indistinguishable part of herself. Intermediate: Growing up to be a young elf woman teetering on the verge of adulthood Lylan'Synor's dedication to her art only deepened; Continuing her formal training but also forced to study the Arcane by her father- she spent days on end while she was supposed to study ruminating on her dance lessons in reverie, filling her notebooks with theoretical choreography or outright practicing her steps when no one was looking. Several decades of a rebellious phase saw the sun elf running away from home to different parts of Evermeet; attending feasts, parties, balls, and revelries with the different inhabitants of the island and never missing an opportunity to learn a new dance or style, expanding her dancing portfolio to practice with more free and rhythmic and melodic dance styles and learning how to dance with her heart, not just her mind. Practicing with the Golden Blade Dancers gave her much-needed foundation on the fusion of dancing and swordplay, teaching her how to approach a dance like a fight, and how to approach a fight as if she dances. Expert: Leaving Evermeet and sailing the seas for nearly a century had seen Lylan'Synor on a determined mission to meet different dancers with unique styles and learn from them, seeing many teachers for longer or shorter periods, as dictated by the winds upon her sails. She learned the tribal dances of the far north, the high dances of humanity's elite, the different jigs of sailors and peasants, the dervish dance of the desert, and the acrobatic displays of Sembian rope dancers. Across every land she came across she desired to dance and to take her passion one step higher every time. Years of training deepened her understanding of working her choreography into dueling, able to cut a dance short or extend it when she needed to. After over a century of ballet every day her feet hardened so much and her skill so profound that she no longer required ballet shoes to dance on points and perform that way as effortlessly as stepping on a whole foot. On the Sword Coast, she learned the discipline to better entwine swordplay and dancing as she grew proficient in both, building upon her vocation with ballet, and working in the lessons taught by different blade dancers across the coasts of Faerun. Master: Lylan'Synor's time in the Sword Coast had seen her progress to a dancing master; her motion effortless and precise, performing with an aethereal grace any style she dances to. Her acrobatics had been honed to drill near-impossible tricks of agility and athleticism, learning to perform airborne choreography after jumping and treating any surface as if it were solid ground. Her control of her body in motion has become so good that even if she falls she never loses her footing, able to recover in the blink of an eye. The fusion between ballet and swordplay has become so intertwined that they are in near-perfect and fluid synergy making her blade dancer in the truest sense of the word. ![]() |
Engineering:
![]() Hidden: show Ever since she has been interested in how things worked, especially moving things or things with moving parts. Part of her greater fascination with motion, and where most of the brainpower she got from her father goes; is the study of the world's "practical physics". Novice: What started as a small fascination developed at sea, when she learned about ships, how they work, and how to repair and build parts for them. An interest that saw her become a boatswain at the height of her sailing life. Intermediate: Adventuring on the coast had seen her apply her capabilities several times; being a helping hand in the construction of the Warrior's Rest, and making the Siriene's Song sail-worthy again. Showed interest in war machinery since joining the Bladestone Foundation. And interest that came in useful during the "Devil War" against the Infernal hordes of Dargonspear. Under Derik Ranloss' banner, she helped train the soldiers at the Gate with siege fighting against flying enemies and commanded siege units in the start of the campaign, aiding in the capture of some strategic points. Expert: Her engineering skills were really put to the test during the Time of Troubles when Doron Amar had to hold off against an invasion that included a small army of Green Dragons. Lylan'Synor sought advice from many esteemed engineers, chiefly Bhor Stonecutter of Kraak-Helzak. After long research and trial & error; Proceeded to design several defensive and offensive solutions which held their part. For which she was recognized by the Elven council in Evereska. Since then Lylan'Synor has designed and supervised the construction of the harbor Hope's Landing and the repairs of the lighthouse above it, south of Candlkeep. ![]() | ||||
Sailing:
![]() Hidden: show Eighty-four years spent between ships had taught the elf to shed her Evermeetian privilege and embrace the sailor's life. Assimilating this life to her worldview, she holds the bonds shared by a crew (or otherwise fellowship) are sacred. The waves became the tides of wonder brought by Hanali Celanil. Mercantile voyages became adventures to exotic lands. The sea itself for all its romantic implications had always been a passionate lover and sailing was a way to keep herself in motion. Applying the determination and wit required to understand the ship and the sea. Serving in several officer roles, most notably that of a Boatswain. Since arriving on the Sword Coast she had gone on several small voyages but for the most part, had chosen to keep her sea legs dry. Novice: Starting as a lowly deckhand with a captain that agreed to give her a chance made Lylan'Synor eager to prove herself worthy to sail with the other Golden Blade Dancers. But after they left Evermeet into the open sea Lylan'Synor was doing all of herself; Embracing with wanderlust the prospect of the seas. Despite her enthusiasm, the beginning was rough; realizing just how spoiled and sheltered she had been in Evermeet, despite the frequent clashes with her father. She was accustomed to straining effort from ballet lessons but nothing prepared her for the labor and toil that is a sailor's daily bread and butter. Like any fresh sailor, Lylan'Synor too needed an adjustment period before she wasn't feeling seasick, but her determination to feel the pride of accomplishment, and make her crew proud, won out even on shakey legs and a nauseated stomach. She messed up quite a bit at the start with feats that required raw strength until observing some of the more cunning sailors and realizing she could compensate for her strength by working smart. However, her agility and acrobatic abilities also landed the Elf a measure of offset to her disadvantage, and a big advantage when it came to the athleticism required to move climb and jump about the ship. Diligent in learning the work and doing it right, she made sure to learn and apply herself to be a little better every day. Her curious nature and interest in how that wooden box of theirs runs both mechanically and labor, got her invested in being more than just a deckhand that's on for the ride. Intermediate:Her old captain recognized Lylan'Synor's potential and after years of proving herself had made her deck officer, and learning from him a bit of navigation when she could and becoming proficient with all aspects of sailing. Her duties as a deck officer never get to her head so she will become lazy in her chores around the ship. In the coming few decades Lylan'Synor would become comfortable sailing in all but the most extreme storms, knowing how to understand the sea and its ebbs & flows and getting the feeling that the ground moves wrong whenever making port to dry land. Expert: Her expertise developed after her old crew broke apart and she continued sailing on her own, finding herself experiencing long and short voyages on many different types of ships and in many positions. Her experience served to find her a better spot on the ship with captains who didn't misunderestimate the romantic elf, and those who did were quickly proven when on board came an elf who worked twice as hard as anyone else. As she gained this experience she began assimilating the engineering and shipwright skills she had developed in tandem, and was able to find work on board directly as a Boatswain or ship engineer. Out of a sense of personal pride, Lylan'Synor never let that affect her diligence in mastering all that she does and continued to develop her profession until the events that caused her to lay her anchor on the Sword Coast. Since then, she had only a few chances to improve her sailing skills but still holds a dream to one day captain a ship of her own. ![]() |
Lifestyle:
![]() Hidden: show Art: She enjoys Art, music, and dance most of all but is also a big fan of the theater and of wordsmiths- writers and poets. Performing: Going by the stage name Lily Summerheart, she loves performing; Either because ar artistic expression hangs on the verge of implosion, or just enjoying the attention of the crowd. She performed quite a bit through her years in the Sword Coast, even winning an open stage or two. She mostly dances and is known as a dancer, but has a good singing voice and can hold a melody on flutes or string instruments and tries her hand at acting once or twice; still knowing she is no bard, she performs other mediums of art as a fun little side hobby. As mentioned, dancing is her primary performative vocation; the one she feels most natural in. She is known for showcasing a fusion of styles both choreographed and interpretive. Comfortable to Frolik through a jig or sway in ballroom dances, it is the acrobatic ballet that is her main most natural style. Her shows are emotional and graceful, spending as much time on her points as in the air, displaying long limbs in lithe motion, gentle fluidity, and timeless grace. Friendhsips & Fellowships: Growing up an only child with a lot of expectations; her friends were always her refuge. This compounded and deepened when she left Evermeet to live the sailor's life for a century- growing accustomed to having little privacy and making a crew one's whole world for long voyages. Coming to the Coast and embarking on first an adventurer, and then a warrior's life had drilled even deeper the notion that one's close friends and fellowships can be as close as blood, and are sacred. Despite being an individualist most of the time, this has lent a collectivist approach to Lylan'Synor's mindset. Ironically it helps her understand the positives in the Elven collectivism she tried to get away from, by leaving her home island and mixing the wider world in the first place. Balls, Feasts & Parties: She is outgoing and loves parties celebrations, and general gatherings of friends as both her hobby, and a way to live by her faith. Dressing up for a social event fills her confidence when looking at the mirror and joy at the attention received, delighting in the consequent compliments. Will often be found on the dance floor at such events Gossip: Strangely enough, Lylan'Synor considers gossip as another form of love. Unlike friendship or romance, it is the nondirect seeking of the soul to feel connected to others and part of a community; its' mission is to touch the weave of love that connects everyone capable of it. It's also important to a duelist. Gossip is how their names become known, and how tales are made about them. Moreover, it's fun! All that being said, Lylan'Synor has too much sense of pride in her loyalty to her friends, than to share things spoken in secret or be uncaring or undiscerning about what she says. Extending to her pride in her intellect, Lylan'Synor is careful to take rumors at face value, trying to employ critical thinking and make sense of bigger pictures. Seeing the difference between gossiping and rumor-mongering. Often wrinkling her nose at the latter. Being on the receiving end of hurtful rumors and nasty slander in the past, she has some red lines she isn't willing to entertain and prefers to be corrective rather than spreading false rumors. Viewing the ability to admit being wrong and retract a disproven statement as a mark of strength and trustworthiness. Politics: Seeing the intellectual interest in the game of politics as a challenge akin to plays in chess, Lylan'Synor's interest in politics does not lie in the sheer enjoyment of it. Instead, her sense of justice and the idealistic view of a better world is what drives Lylan'Synor to meddle in the social games of ideologies, factions, and courts. Her duties since forming an identity as a warrior had seen her tied to one political faction or another in martial advisory roles. She accepts it as part of protecting the people she loves and loving her protectorate. However, the games of deception and espionage intrigue are something she avoids when not practically required; this path can lead her too quickly into becoming the person she doesn't want to be. However disdainful, it is important to maintain peace and allow beauty to grow. She advocates for negotiation when possible, but views this stance carefully. She is a warrior at heart and knows that negotiation and peace, like love, take two sides to uphold but only one to break. Her political alignment follows the same notion; Representing a martial view that considers security and safety the ultimate goal to support peace and beauty. But not any enemy should be trusted to become an ally, and war awaits those who will not abide by peaceful options. Drinking: Like most sailors, she loves to drink and despite her Elven physique being at a disadvantage in alcohol consumption, she can still hold her liqueur with grace. She Loves Elven wines, clear white rum, and interesting pallets of imported spirits. But keeps a warm nostalgic place for both Elven wine and cheap sailor's rum. Fashion: Reading: Despite not becoming a mage she grew up in an educated family and the habit of reading stuck. Important to her to find time in her schedule to sit and be still with her book, she can be truly serene for long periods is when she lets her mind wander through the pages. Adventuring:Finding it out only coming to the coast, this lifestyle compounds all the aspects above as she regards the coast at large as more and more as home with each passing dawn. Romance:
![]() Hidden: show She loves to flirt, especially with intelligent conversationalists who have nuance and grace, or life lovers with a bent for adventurous fun. Used to have short-term flings of a polyamorous nature, but has since wholly devoted herself to her wife, Niyressa. Lylan'Synor still seeks intimate connections with other people, but these days looks for ways to deepen platonic relationships rather than twirl them romantically. She considers love to come in many shades and forms and all of them is the golden beauty of Hanali Celanil.
![]() |

She is faithful to the Seladrine. And to her personal deity Hanali Celanil especially, to whom Lylan gives personal worship. Since coming to the Sword Coast had begun personal worship of Tethrin Veralde as well. Praising both after victory for strength in battle and that beauty was kept safe.
The Holy Seldarine:
| ||||||
Other Faiths & Small Worship: While Lylan'Synor is loyal and faithful only to the Seldarine, there are other faiths and dieties she occasionally gives small worship or thanks to, though for the most part, those are deities which she sees exemplify a comparison to the deities of the Seldarine; pondering their dogmas to better see both their differences, and the points of intersection. She generally respects the gods of light, good and to a lesser extent the law, but would gravitate to liking chaotic good or neutral good deities better. Her time in the Halls of Inner Light taught her to seek those points of intersection with worshippers of other faiths, to create coalitions of shared values and alliance between the races that strive for a greater good. Fey Heritage
Hidden: show Nymph Blooded: Lylan'Synor is Nymph-blooded, tracing along her mother's family for generations since Evermeet was young. Lyre'ilyr'Synor's family knows about their blood but the tale of its origins has been lost to the family. Perhaps there are family members out there who know of the family's Feyish origins, but Lylan'Synor doesn't. Lylan'Synor only knew that she was a descendent of Nymphs or possibly Dryads. Struggling to balance her blood's peculiar whimsey with her life until she reconnected with her mother who showed her how to co-exist with her hereditary nature. Blood Origin: Hidden: show The origin of her blood comes from Eidothae, one of the many Nymphs formed in Evermeets' pools and glades when the essence of Arvandorian beauty coalesced on Toril as the Green Isle, and Ainsaethil- a blind sun elf druid from among the first families to settle on the Green Isle. A keeper of her glade, who collaborated with the beings of the forest to be his eyes. His heartfelt playing of his lute when he rested at the glade captivate the Nymph; for he was playing the feeling of harmony emanating through the beauty of the Nymph and her glade, which he could sense but could not see. Eidothae captured the Druids heart with her innocence and her kindness. Shy at first as most nymphs are, she slowly opened to Ainsaethil through the years. A rare thing which caught Ainsaethil as precious, as his fervor to protect this pure beauty turned into a blossoming love, reciprocated after years of proven care and trust. The conception of their children remains lost to time, as most details of this tale. But perhaps one day more of the truth will present itself among the written, and unwritten pages of history... Hidden: show Lylan'Synor's fey heritage is not developed to its more powerful forms as most other fey blooded on the coast. Making her seem somewhat mundane at first glance. But she does bear some marks of her heritage that can be seen after some observation. These are the ways Lyan'Synor's Fey Heritage manifest:

Growing up feeling choked in Evermeet, it is in Doron Amar that she can make a difference and drive a positive change to help the Elven People. There is some complicated history relating to Lylan'Synor and the village being opposed at times, especially over Niyressa a few years ago. But Lylan'Synor since then had amended grievances and despite a slight chip on her shoulder, prefers to be a voice that bridges differences and spreads Hanali Celanil's beauty among the Elven community. Theme song: Geva Alon- The Wind Whispers (Love).

The Bladestone Foundation: Deputy Headmistress
![]() Hidden: show Lylan'Synor joined the Bladestone Foundation back when it was a school without facilities, becoming Derik Ranloss' pupil. She came to the school an agile swashbuckling barbarian who danced in a reckless fury with her blade, but Derik didn't spare her the pain of her mistakes. Drilling discipline and formulated techniques that turned her into a proper duelist and soldier. Teaching her too, about the Bladestone creed and mindset, about their history and Ashen Wayne- whom Lylan respects as the founder, but she never met the Genasi. She considers Derik, Ronja (while she was active), Adrian, Vrok, Niyressa, herself, and those who stood with them; to be the ones that turned the Bladestone Foundation into what it is. During her studies with Derik, she spent weeks and months guarding and helping with the builders and construction of the Warrior's Rest. She stayed with the Bladestones ever since after her graduation, taking on the mantle with pride, believing in their purpose and their mission; The Bladestone Foundation isn't a mercenary company chasing coins or an order of knights chasing glory or lofty politics. Instead, they are a Neutral organization aligned with the laws of Baldur's Gate. Made up of simple people who see the need to stand up for the common folk. Fighting for the ones who are overlooked, and often get caught in the middle. Investing most of their time and energy in No Man's Land, patrolling it on its small villages and hamlets, and some of the Trade Way too; teaching the common folks to defend themselves so they need not cower to tyrants and monsters, taking to heart Derik's famed quote and believing it to be the true strength of the Bladestone Foundation:"A worthy battle is fought to shed blood for those who can't, and bleed for those who shouldn't." and operating the Warrior's Rest and Hope's Landing so that those people have a trade hub from which to start making their lives better through increased commerce. The Bladestone Foundation had its ups and downs, its troubles and its tribulations, fighting tooth and claw for everything it achieved. Lylan'Synor remains loyal to Derik, the Foundation, and its missions throughout despite everything the world tried to throw at them, knowing the harsh, but empowering lessons the arena teaches a warrior through sweat, blood, pain, loss, and triumph;

Ar'Tel'Quessir: A Sun Elf from Evermeet
![]() Hidden: show Lylan'Synor grew up in the nicer parts of Leuthilspar, in Evermeet with all the privileges and expectations that came with it. Growing up learning they are the closest Elves to the Holy Seldarine; that it is equally her birthright and responsibility, to do and be better than her peers, and be their inspiration to do better themselves. That they, the Ar'Tel'Quessir have a glorious and rich history of old empires and ancient magic, of timeless ethereal grace, of the wisdom that is found in contemplation, of the single-minded passions & obsessions that drive true mastery, and of a fading often misunderstood place they have in the world. Lylan'Synor took it all in, and as the rebellious free soul that she is, found her ways to apply it while other parts she dismissed out of hand. She believes all Elves are sacred to Corellon, and more importantly to Hanali Celanil- and recognizes that the supremacy granted through the Seldarine's favor is something each Ar'Tel'Quessir should earn if they are to live up to their creed of excellence. They have the spark, and the potential- but she sees them as needing to be leaders from among The People, rather than above them. She couldn't wait to leave Evermeet, feeling choked and ill-fitting to the perfection of the island. Being unable to learn how to cast magic despite being from a mage bloodline had caused her to develop a rebellious side that rejected her family's ideals for over a century. Her life at sea among the other races, forced into getting to know them during long voyages; had shaved off the disdain her kin share for most other races, even Half-Orcs and Tieflings. The latter two examples she insists have the potential to be better allies than Humans if empowered and seen to choosing the better parts of the human heart, half of which they possess. Still, she recognizes their assumptions to exist mostly on the macro, grand scale. These assertions will usually fall flat on the micro-scale when addressing individuals. Lylan'Synor prefers to judge people as they are, yes she holds the expectations she was raised with, but the degree she thinks those of other races can be held to, given context and their own personalities. Elves, however, are to be held to higher standards- with the knowledge there are some things she can understand as an Elf herself, that others might take as antagonistic. Lylan sees it her Hanalite prerogative to try and mediate these cases- arguing that good souls have common values behind strife and disagreement. Thus she believes that an Elf who is acting too haughty and dismissive toward other races is being both a fool and showing the uglier sides of The People. These Elves, she believes; should pay more heed to Hanali Celanil in their lives, and see the wisdom in showing others one's beauty rather than dismissing others who can be affected to make the world more beautiful. Yes, humans are fickle; But Elves have the patience to be persistent. In which she believes lies the true challenge of The People. Lately, being more involved in the direct security of Doron Amar's Elven community, she hardened her tone somewhat and saw the logic behind her People's reclusiveness to the world. She isn't any less motivated that the answer isn't wrong, simply more complex. Carefully, the path to deliverance will reveal itself, she just needs to do well enough. Still, hardened as she is now; she will fight tooth and claw in defense of Her People. Just like her mother used to do. |

Act 3- Vision of Beauty in A Hidden Heartbeat or, An Elf's journey begins. 'This is a story about an Elf woman who lost the meaning of Love. Only to find it in herself' Hidden: show Four more decades would Lyan'Synor flow with the motions. Moving from coast to coast and ship to ship. Her Blade and her practice of the Dance, her only true companions. Sailing with other races expanded her horizons and normalized her mannerisms to those of the world beyond the Elven haven she grew up in. Developing a rough exterior when necessary and fierce in demanding the respect of those who looked down on the frail-looking Sun Elf toiling on the ship. By proof of action, and an occasional low blow to a soft spot. She did her work on the ship dutifully and excellently. She would find someone on deck (or two) to date and leave them on port. Drinking thirstily the highest peak of love they could share. Then shed them on their way once they made port. With sweet gratitude but also a casualness, that regarded them as nothing more than yesterday's whimsy. Not wanting to be saddened by goodbyes and not daring to attach her broken heart to even more pieces. She would love and leave. She otherwise mingled with whichever random crew she was with. Thankful for brief moments of distraction from the shards her heart lay in. A heart I once thought of as Golden. But slowly, gradually as time does its thing. She became better. She could still love. For she was still Lylan'Synor. But love to her became a powerful transient essence in the universe, to be attached to at certain moments and intersections and exalt. Not a strong foundation bound to one soul to guide transcendence. And this new view slowly began to withdraw its guilt as she let herself love a little bit more each time. Perhaps she was learning. 'And perhaps the Seladrine watch over their children and guild their winds to safety.' She thought as she chanced upon new ship in a recurring port after forty years of aimless travel. A vessel named The Starshine Maiden. She found work on it and discovered it had a healer on board. A wandering priestess of Hanali Celanil, out on her own mission. She nursed Lylan'Synor's heart for years, vowing to mend her heart. Teaching her to deal with her own heart head-on, as she deals with the dangers she faces. To understand the love that is given to her and the love she is giving. And to choose to give it without bounds, but realizing its path. Controlling Love instead of love controlling her. Smart, and relentless once taking a task upon herself. She assimilated the priestess' teachings to her own views. Lylan is unable to cast a single spell, arcane or divine. Instead to take the teachings to mind, using the natural gift the Salderine blessed her with. The free will to choose and act as her deity would, and by her wisdom. And keen thought to discern it. Anticlimactically as the months went by, she relearned In those four years, whilst loading merchandise bound for Calimport. It dawned on Lyaln. I had been on board the same ship for four years now. Their Starshine Maiden's voyage south was interrupted by a raiding pirate ship. While they were not deadly warriors they had a powerful Conjurer on deck that broke through the ship's wards and teleported into the belly of the ship, stealing not only the merchandise but most of the ship's provisions as well. The captain decided to harbor at the nearest port for a week whilst they resupplied and figured out the mess with Calimshani Merchants not getting their supplies. Their maps showed a famed Port City called Baldur's Gate in a land named The Sword Coast. Lylan'Synor was at the crow's nest around dawn when the Starshine Maiden came into view of the land. Her emerald eyes took in the sight as a golden moment imploded in her heart in the space of missing a beat. 'A silhouette of the coastline, tiny at first, black on orange against the dawning sun. Rays of light hit the rough exterior of the mountainous, rainy, and dangerous landscape. Shifting as they do, slicing the coast in stripes of black against shimmering gold. Hinting, a hidden secret. Undiscovered beauty glimpsed by a convergence of light, caught in the eternal moment of a single missed pulse. A beauty that beckoned the Silly Little Elf, find it. Potential struck the broken Elf, beyond the obscuring mists of the coast's silhouette. Glimmering dots of golden light cry A Rebirth to Adventure, teasing her to challenge the darkness to reveal the light. An obscure whisper, promised by Hanali Celanil in the goosebumps along her spine and the fluster of her heartbeat, was made crystal clear. Ushering An Elf's journey's beginning. As clear as the waters of Evergold depicted in her shrines. Reflected against two deep pools of emerald. An eternal moment in a missed heartbeat. Granting resolution to mend the cracks of her broken heart with the golden lining of love.' Lylan'synor found she had made her decision when she again stood amidst time, listening to the wind and the waves from atop the crow's nest. Looking at a rugged coast of rough exterior and frequent rains, soaking a few hours of sunlight after dawn. It is usually in tales of adventures finding their heroes' journey, that Act 3 concludes the story. But for Lylan'Synor Syr'Asiryn, 'An Elf's Journey Begins.' |

Aspiring to supplement more mundane and para-magical doctrines of buildings and machinery, that will honor the old elven architecture, and the Elven way of life of civilized coexistence with and amidst nature. Further down the line, Lylan'Synor would have liked to make toys for children that will help develop their thinking skills. The kind to urge the same curiousness manifested in her own youth. |
Family: | Hidden: show Lylan'Synor and Niyressa are still saving up the coin to build their home. They could be going out to more adventures, but their lives live them little time to do it, still, any penny that can is saved to finally build Niyressa that house that Lylan's promised her, with a big window and a fireplace for Niyressa and her to watch the rain. A place to start a family of their own. As for her Elven family, Lylan'Synor had become her own women in her time on the coast; Reintegrating herself with the elven people and finding her place among them. Now after becoming a master of her art and achiving her own name for herself; Lylan'synor wonders sometimes if she should go back to Evermeet for a visit, and face her father with renewed confidence. Hoping against hope, to win his approval. |
