The Hunting Party

The large amount of carrion birds and scavengers are easily seen all the way from the trade way. The usual bandit activity has markedly diminished as the Fist double up patrols, women and children in the Gate start to speak of the phantom beast in the woods and keep their children indoors during the night hours for fear of being spirited away.

Many rumours fly but the ones that persist is that of marks on the bodies similar to that of a large bear as well as hair and other leavings. Curiously absent is the tracks of the bear or any tracks aside from the bandits that was obvioulsy present when the attack occured.

Hello, I am investigating an Bandit attack or what is believed to be one. it seems a massive bear and a group of bandits are involved in local attacks, unless it has been a trained bear i don't know how this would work, apart from that I am looking for a crew to help find these bandits and this... bear thing. Please contact me at the Blade and Stars if interested. (PM, Tell, Or response)

While making a supply trip in town, Æðelþryð sees a good deal of commotion around a flyer posted at the Elf Song Tavern. She puzzles over the text uncomprehendingly for a few moments before a helpful patron notices her difficulty and reads the announcement to her. She then dictates a short response, which the patron writes down for her:

"My name is Æðelþryð. I have been concerned by the strange behavior of the wolves outside the City for some time, and would be willing to help investigate if other animals have taken on such behavior. I am a hunter with some skill as a tracker. I cannot read your postings myself, so it would be best if you find me at the campfires outside the City or near the ruined temple to its south."

A rude and tall woman walks in the tavern and pushs people out of her way to reach the billboard.

"Erh.. Where the hell is that note that kid talked me about.."

She looks at the billboard a moment, and sees the note. She then frowns, reading it, and growls.

"Tamed, eh.. It's not some weakling bandits who could tame her."

She then writes up a quite simple note on a small parchement and nails it right on the other. She leaves after that, glaring at anyone who looks at her.
