The Scoured Land

Those that pass by the bridge on the approach to Beregost notice a large area of blighted land, populated with dead, decaying, twisted trees. The ground itself appears cracked and brittle, as if it too has had its vibrancy drained out. The crumbled remains of smaller plants and grass cover the land in many places. Rumors abound of a titanic battle, and of the use of spells most foul.
