Murder Bounties

Unread post by ooggbboo »

One copy of the following notice, each written on a large, fine piece of parchment, can be found prominently posted in the center of each major district in the city of Baldur's Gate.

The notices are left up for appropximately half a second, then taken down by Flaming Fist patrolmen.

That was fun for 1/2 a second. There's an idea in improv comedy that rather than saying "no" to something someone else says, you say "yes and" and then add to it. There are plenty of ways to "yes and" that (and other) ideas. Immediately killing it is tiresome.

(( Since I'm busy in-game, I asked another member of the staff to PM you about this; and perhaps suggest you try another location. There are about 200 other areas you could freely post such a notice. ))

(( The six areas that constitute Baldur's Gate and the one area apeice that comprise Beregost, Nashkel, Gullykin, Doron Amar, and Candlekeep are not appropriate for this. ))

Illetrate beggars.

And offer 'em ten gold to walk around in town!

(( Posting illegal bounties in well-policed towns is not the best way to go about ordering a hit out on somebody. It can be safely assumed that the Flaming Fist have torn down the notices, and are interviewing witnesses to try and determine who put them up.

(( ;) There are at least two factions who accept assassination contracts, though, and there are other ways to get information out there besides highly-visible notices.

*rumors are sown like seeds in the shadowy parts of Baldur's Gate, Beregost, and Nashkel*

Captain Rocshanks is dead and the man that killed him expects his payment from Rust and Worms. He remembers the posters and his name is Azure. He expects his coin soon.
