Hi,
I'm thinking of joining the server, and have some questions...
1. what is the death system \ penalties ?
2. how often do you have DM events or DMs online ?
3. is is a fast or slow leveling-up server ?
thanks!

Re: new guy questions
1. If you die, you drop a corpse. Your party members can raise your corpse with the appropriate spells or items. If your party members lack the appropriate spells or items, they can pick up your corpse and carry it to a temple for resurrection. This costs 500 GP.
If you die, and you have nobody to come to your rescue, you can choose to respawn to the start location for you race. You are deducted 100 XP per character level for the respawn. (So if you are a level 10 character, you will lose 1,000 XP).
2. We try to keep DMs on around the clock, with mixed success. Right now we are bringing 4-5 new DMs onto the team. We also have 2 DMs gearing up to return to the server, after unrelated time off. This influx of DMs should really push server events and DM coverage back up: But as it stands currently, the coverage is fair-to-good, with semi-regular events.
3. I would characterize this server as "fast leveling." It is not very difficult to reach the level 8-12 range in a month, depending on how much time you are devoting to the character. We have more than a few players with epic characters (level 21+), and a sizable minority of the player population have level 30 characters.
Hope this answers your questions. Happy gaming!
