Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!
I haven't said thank you in a while because I was out of game for a bit... But, I owe several lately.
First off, a very genuine thank you to a very specific few who were a stellar amount of support OOC through some very heavy duty RL stuff.
Thank you to everyone who was understanding of my resulting sub-par RP over the last couple weeks.
Thank you to everyone who has put up with both my sporadic rp and my odd hours AND anything else lately...
Most especially, thank you everyone for understanding why playing Meri and Scarlett right now is just less than do-able...
Thank you to the staff for the absolutely above and beyond work, as always in an almost thankless job, where you are overworked and under-appreciated... not to mention you do it for free and are supposed to be having fun... and hopefully do... As you continue to make our imaginary world spin forwards backwards and on the wrong axis. We love ya for it!
Finally and most importantly of all... Thank you EVERYONE who has put up with Echo. If you don't know who Echo is... and haven't had the pleasure of that migraine with ears... I will say one thing:
"We look forward to meeting you."

Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!

An absolutely stellar thank you goes out to the Bhaalists who were hung today. Thank you for being good sports about it.

Just don't expect Meri to be that nice.

Yeah, like, some paladin folks or saints tied up with a rope getting thrown down a pit with spikes at the bottom, and then pulled back with the rope so they can throw the bodies down again just for the hell of it!

Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!
I know one particular Bhaalist that has plans for poor Meri... and I don't think it has anything to do with ropes. Just blades...
Anyway, I do promise... to return the favor and be a good sport
Thanks as always for the loads of fun, all of you!

Big thanks to DM Katzenjammer for putting so much effort into what I thought would just be a tiny Leo interlude but then became my very personal super event.
This is the best I could find but it's close to the sun in a box:

Yep! good one leslie!
I'd like to thank "fairvigil" (rade imythesent) for getting me started, "simini" (leonia) for showing me the ropes and "gareut" (well.. gareut) for inspiring me over and over again. *smiles*
The rest of the bg crowd are thanked for showing me patience and kindness, when I, as a noob online was making a mess of things!
Cool topic guys. thanks for keeping it alive!

Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!

To AIKURA.
Who played an AWESOME Marjolaine tonight. You captured her essence and played her well, even made me laugh when Randy asked her if she wanted to follow him to the saint... hehehe. Thank you! Oh, and how did it feel to play a character who kissed Randy?

Lioness would have been proud to see you, I'm sure of it!
To DARKAREAL
Who played a fearsome Marjo's Dad! Victor De Rose! You had his spirit... He just wanted it all to happen like -he- wanted. It's always hard to play the toons who get their arses kicked, so I lift you my hat and thank you loads for tonight!

To DM Mister Rogers (Pretty Charraj!)
Who's been kind enough to help me get this going even if it was kind of last minute for me to ask! Pretty sure everyone enjoyed the Hezrou and his schmexy.. hm.. girlies.
Me I prefered Twiddle, the griffon, but that's personal preference I think!

To Leslie
You did a perfect ceremony priest, as you always do! Even though it was very last minute too.. Improvisation to its best!

And to everyone who's been there too of course.. Those who fought, those who cried, those who hided themselfs..
The loyal good paladins, the thiefling sisters of doom, the pretty bards with dreamy eyes, the kinky elves, the eavedroping pirates..
Thank you all, one of my best evening of gaming here. =)
I'll post some screenies tomorow when at home. If someone has one though with the purplue glowing Randy... I was too dazed to hit my print screen key!

Re: Thread of infinite appreciation!!
I missed out on screens tonight... but it was a truly stellar evening... despite the sad ending... the hurried prep, and the kids in the back ground... It was an awesome evening.
Pick your favorite screen shot Randy, and send it to me in a PM.
I suppose first I should thank my parents for cancelling last minute... even though I had the house spotless and a four course meal ready... grrr... it was good food and even better fun, and at least I have less work to do tomorrow =)
There are too many thank you's who made this a fitting event in the arch and story of a character so deep that the gods have even gone so far as to change his gender and teach him life from the other side of the fence... Never have I seen a character have so many intricate little details, and Randy, whenever our paths have crossed... it has been a sheer joy. Thank you for asking me.
To everyone who had a hand in this tonight... considering as impromptu as it was, it went off with out hardly any hitch. Yet another very unique wedding that Meri has performed rites for, and was brilliantly RP'ed. Thank you for adding even more depth to a couple of hours of RP.
For the record... Meri did not enjoy the Hezrou or his schmexy... girlies. Well until they were banished back to the Abyss at least... But the pretty light show was the icing on the cake, so yes, thank you Mister Rogers... Though I am still mad at you for not producing a happy song and letting them live happy ever after!
It is monumentally difficult to play a character that isn't yours... especially not one with deeply established role play... Aikura pulled it off stunningly. It was a bittersweet and beautiful thing to watch, and her final words to Randy will haunt the Saint for a while.
I had no idea it was DarkAeriel who was playing daddy... but you did a brilliant job at creeping me out... and making me hate daddy dearest... Not hard to wish an evil jerk death once he murders the bride BEFORE THE EXPENSIVE HONEYMOON!! Then again as a woman... my opinion is biased.
To the ready supply of valiant defenders... who totally were the living proof that it is perfectly okay to wear your work clothes to a formal function... I bet our darling knights will never attend another wedding in a suit. Especially Meri's favorite Paladin, who as always is a constant source of solid RP. I've said thank you more times than I can count for just that.
To watch the lives of all our characters unfold... some more directly than others... Even characters I have interacted with in the smallest ways... Truly? It is its own gift, the stories here are a joy, and I thank you, most sincerely... and most humbly for allowing me to be a part of so many of them.
Off to bed I go. Before I get all wrapped up in writing... but I need sleep, and will need something to do during the kids' reading lessons =) Thank you also, all of you... for that. I may never grow bored even when there is no RP because there is always writing to do =D
