Hitting stuff at epic levels

Unread post by Astegard »

I was wondering what ab is generally required to hit anything at 20+ levels (referring to monsters). I havent been to epic levels yet but am afraid my character wont be able to hit anything in melee at some point.

You need at LEAST 30 AB to hit epic monsters at least once per round. 35-40 you'll hit 2-3 times, and if you want most (if not all on good rolls) if your hits to land you have to get 45-50+ AB.

However...there's a few bosses who have higher AC. You'll want 40+ AB if you want to do anything worth while to them.

I don't know exact AC of monsters, I just speak from experience of having a character with max 34 AB and a character with 50 AB. The 34 AB is passable but has trouble hitting, while the 50 AB seldom misses.

As a side note...in PvP, 35 ish AB is horrible... 40+ is pretty much required for being passable in PvP (unless you're sneak attacking)
