*an addendum added*

Our first Open Stage Night at the White Mask Theater was a huge success! At least a dozen people showed up and there were some amazing performances.

Some of our amateur and professional performers were:

Dean Sonolite who told a story and sang a song about love and loss
Hiei who told a story of a farmer's son who finds his family killed and goes on a vengeance streak.
Jani who told a story called "The Lantern Man" about a half-orc and a human girl named Alexis.
Devany who sang and played the lute.
Abram Fisher - who told a short story and sang "son of a sailor"
Aston Keir who sang an awkward but funny song about Helm.
Alison who recited a poem about women.
Valqis as Jennifer Whittamore who played a song about waking up in Beregost with a stranger in bed.
Bak who cut an orc head in two
Vallie who recited a poem
Elisuna who played a song accompanied by Alison and Valqis

Thanks to all of the fine and talented folks who came up on the stage. Hope to see you next tenday.

The second Open Stage Night at the White Mask Theater was well attended and capably hosted by Gregor Capstan.

Jani led off with a morality tale called "The Miser".
Rastin, assisted by Taard-mo followed with a demonstration involving a Water Elemental.
Azorel then told a splendid joke involving a Human and and Orc.
Arimil related a short tale, mainy for the purposed of drenching everyone with an indoor storm.
Gregor sang a sea chanty.
Aearion gave a rendition of "Loose Lucy" as the crowd filed out. Thank you... for a real good time!

Thank you to all who attended and performed.

*Paws shows up on the wrong day... looks around... makes a "pouty face" and kicks over a bench. He looks at the bench, stands it on its side and hastily carves a six foot bear on it for no good reason. He signs the piece with a carved image of two wolf paws. He then storms off to the tavern.*

*a sign hangs from the door of the White Mask, and from the bulletin board, and yet another in the Jovial Juggler*

We regrettably inform our adoring public, that due to lack of available hosts, we will have to postpone this weeks Open Stage Night. Our sincerest apologies, the White Mask Theater.

Mia walks up to the signs posted at the White Mask, the Jovial Juggler and the bulletin board and pulls them down to reveal the original poster hanging behind them. She takes a quill and scribbles out the date replacing it with one up-and-coming. She looks over the posters and nods contentedly to herself before dusting off her hands and walking away.

*Paws sees the change on the sign and kicks himself. he feels terrible about ruining a perfectly good bench, so he orders a new one made. In the mean time, he drags the bear-carved bench outside and hangs a sign on it*

Signs are hung in the usual places

Thank you to all those who contributed to the latest Open Stage Night! Thanks to you all it was another successful evening.

Some of the highlights include amusing stories by Devany and Vadenor, a beautiful song by Valqis and a full stage musical accompaniment to Brorgor’s bar song as a finale.

Mia Desdemona was promoted to Director of the Performer’s Guild during the course of the Evening.

All are welcome to attend the next Open Stage Night which will have a Pirate theme! So please endeavour to incorporate some piratey influence into your performances, either in your dress or as part of your act. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Any people interested in joining our humble troupe can meet with us after the show, or direct correspondence to the Theatre.

Mia retires to her office after the show and starts work on the multitude of flyers she spreads around the various city's inns and bars

The pirate show was an enjoyable evening full of pirate jokes, songs, pirate impressions, a pirate ventriloquist, a magic show and a re-enactment of the infamous Bhaal temple siege.

Thank you to all those who performed, and particularly to those who signed up to the Performers Guild. We all look forward to seeing more of you on stage.

Congratulations to Caitlyn and Kal whose Ventriloquist act won them the honour of the best act of the evening, for which they received a fairly authentic pirate hat.

The Next Open Stage Night will have a Jester theme! So polish up your best jokes, dust off your fools bells, practice standing on your head, find something colourful to wear and come along!

All folks interested in joining our guild and becoming a regular contributor are welcome backstage after the show for drinks and socialising.

Posters are hung around the usual notice boards and taverns.

The Jester night was brilliantly done, thank you to everyone who got up the courage to perform. With acrobatics, good jokes, deliberately bad jokes, singing and even an apple being shot off someone’s head, what more could one want in stage entertainment?

Well maybe a night dedicated to the antics of Tavern culture.

That’s right folks, the next stage night will have a Tavern theme.
So buy a pint, rehearse that old tavern song and think about how many different combinations of social types have walked into bars recently . . . Or under them in the case of hins.

See you all there!

Devany leaves a short note for Mia at the White Mask Theater.

Mia ~
I just wanted to pass along an interesting suggestion for future Open Stage Nights. Would it be possible to hold one outdoors? It could be inspiring to the performers as well as allow some folks to come that are less comfortable with city walls surrounding them. I hope this note finds you well and look forward to seeing you at the next Open Stage Night!

Mia picks up the note and nods to herself "Valqis suggested we do something for the summer solstice, thats coming up in a few tenday, I should see if someone will help with an outdoor stage. A summer themed show on a summer evening under the stars". Nods to herself again. "Where should it be? Must talk with Bentley."

Mia borrows some of Alison's paints and colours her poster pages a soft pink, she then impatiently waves them about trying to dry them occasionally muttering something about watching paint dry. She then sets out to write up the next poster.
The White Mask Theatre is hosting a night of Romance this tenday.

Bring your partner, Practice a duet or a symphony or a ballad.
Demonstrate your love from the stage.
Or lament your broken heart.
All things romance at the Open Stage Night.

Come along
See you there
After an hour of carefully blowing the paint dry Mia sets out to hang the posters around the usual inns and taverns
