DM DarkAerial's Events

Unread post by DarkAerial2 »

A group, consisting of: Andrus, Keishara, Cassia, Redden and a few others decided to venture to the haunted house, where they would find themselves defeated at the top. Chaos' forces were too strong, and they were annhilated. However, this time, the presence of a lich had taken over the house, and raised them to be their minions. They were empowered, and slowly turning into undead. The sun hurt them, and they were unable to speak coherently. Fighters, such as Garrack and a few others, sought to keep them hostage whilst they think of a plan. Cassia, after a few tries, using her empowered body, defeated them all with one spell in the temple of Lathander. The group made their way to the haunted house where they were surprised. They had been jested upon, and the Lich had no further reason to use them. They had lost their powers, and their life slowly began to fade. Garack, accompanied by two others, including Lanius and Breteas, arrived as the Lich began summoning his avatar.

A righteous battle, where the Lich's avatar was defeated, didn't mean much. Cassia, Andrus and the others lay on the ground beyond the entrance to the haunted house. Two stayed outside to guard the fallen bodies, whilst three entered. Lanius, Breteas and Garack fought their way through the protecters' abode, upon reaching the top, they were surprised to find there was nought but a huge book and an urn beside it.

Lanius' inspections, after reading the book, were all leading towards the destruction of the Lich. Hordes of monsters, undead and such, flooded the room, and Garack, accompanied by his fellow members of justice, defended Lanius. Everyone, at this point, was exhausted; relying on Breteas' wards. Lanius continued to investigate how to destroy the Lich. He learnt that the amulet must be destroyed, and that the urn must be burnt. There was no amulet in sight, and Cassia came scampering up the steps. She defeated Chaos' forces, with her last few breaths, collapsed on the ground. Lanius knew he had to destroy the amulet, but he had no idea where the amulet was. Upon inspecting the book, it read; "I have placed my dearest posession on a beautiful, blue maiden. She struck me as a strong soul, and I now entrust her, as my minion, with my holy amulet. Or, perhaps I should say unholy."

The house's roof began to crumble, and there was no time. Cassia, upon inspecting her chest, found the amulet, after a long conversation with Lanius. She hand it to him, rushing out before the house fell upon their heads.

The party had exited the house, noticing Redden and Keishara still helpess on the ground. Garack drew his hammer and began smashing at the amulet, but it was of no use. Cassia noted that the book had the answers, but the book no longer existed, as it had been destroyed along with the house. With her last ounce of breath, she fired an extremely powerful soundblast at the amulet; destroying it and banishing the Lich. Veras quickly gathered up the shards of the amulet, sliding them into her backpack for unknown reasons. The Lich seemed to, oddly, thank the party; and his grasp over the 'minions' had now faded.

(Andrus' quests to be posted later.) (Garrack/Garack spelling; unsure of which one it was, so I used both.)

Many people gathered around the Farmlands; everyone curious as to what was going on. Some presumed they were called to the Harvest Festival, others simply came along due to their friends' curiosity. Conversing with one another, sharing thoughts, joy circling the area... nothing could go wrong, right? Suddenly, the scarecrow's eyes turned a bright red. Someone, rather stupidly, lit the scarecrow on fire. At once, a portal ripped open from the planes, gathering them all in... and it begun.

"Where are we?" one person remarked.
"I don't know, I'm scared!" Elisuna shouted, holding her head.
"I like this place, oddly..." another shouted. Glancing around curiously, a magical barrier emerged from the planes, blocking any way to the south. There was only one way to go: forward.

[I know I forgot to finish this one. It'll be finished within the post as an edit in the near future.]

//Quick OOC comment: I've left a few of the conversations, prematurely finished a few and left out a few bits of information just to avoid metagaming consequences. The character will be referred to as "She."

Greed or Valour?

Patrolling around the Friendly Arm Inn, the Fist soldier begins to search around. He sighs heavily, and makes his way over to the campfire. He enquires about a "trustworthy" person who he may entrust to deliver a message, along with a package, to James Norton. Simply glancing about, he realised they all look the same - so he picked one,
"Yes, you." he mutters as he points at her, "Let us converse further down the road, yes?" as he says this, She nods. He begins walking further down the road, and as such, She follows him.
"What do you need exactly?" She begins to ask curiously.
"I need you to deliver this package to Norton. If you do so, I'll pay you." She then quickly replies,
"What's inside the bag?" She then asks curiously.
"Oh, you can't know that. Mmh, simply think of it as provisions, yes?" He nods to her as he speaks. She then sighs and nods,
"All right, I'll run. I run fast." She says confidently. He raises his right hand, shaking his head,
"You must not run. You might drop it." He then motions for her to be on her way.

She begins trodding down the path, the bag in her hands. It begins to jiggle. It sounds like gold, and the weight suggests it's a lot of gold, too.
