Some People Go Missing
Friday, May 13, 2011
Adara Siger has been missing for more than a day now. Her family is concerned.
Devany Ducet has been missing as well. Istari Tower is searching for her.
Dekyon Rydralle is also gone.
. . .
Devany Dulcet has been found with the dubious help of the mithral dragon Mattisschrossynthlat. She was laying dead in an Underdark crypt.

Alyssa: Epilogue
With credit to Vendetta
Sunday, May 15, 2011
Esarosa and Bak Hazo defeated and turned in a necromancer to the Fist.
Once they verified Esarosa's identity, the Fist questioned her about her involvement in the death of Alyssa.
The Fist officer who questioned her seemed satisfied with her answers.

Four Drow and a Svirf
Tuesday, May 17, 2011
Four drow and a svirf hunted down a large band of kobolds. The kobolds were lead by a powerful shaman. As he died, the shaman unleashed a displacer beast on the party, but it was slain.
The svirf found a diamond on the leader's dead body, and disclosed his findings to the drow.
The city guardsmen rewarded the group... by telling them they did a good job.
Rewards:

Jenny the Adventurous Cow
Monday, May 23, 2011
Jenny, a prize-winning cow, is kidnapped by two bandits. The bandits are killed by gibberlings, however, and Jenny is left free to wander the Trade Way.
Jenny grazes on nice grass and is eager to explore the world.
Thedran tries to find a stable for her, so that her rightful owner can more easily locate her. Jenny is displeased, and Thedran is unsuccessful.
Jenny the Adventurous Cow starts to head into the Cloakwoods, but Thedran stops her from undertaking this dangerous course of action, most likely saving her life.
Bandits attack, but are killed by adventurers.
Farmer Bucky comes, clad in ill-fitting armor, to reclaim his cow. As a reward, he gives the adventurers some of Jenny's amazing prize-winning milk.
Rewards:
Some truly outstanding milk

Some People Go Missing
Epilogue
Adara Siger and Dekyon Rydralle finally returned a week or two ago, both having undergone harrowing experiences in the Underdark.
They were caught up in the political maneuverings between Ithic the mindflayer and a Sshamath City guardsman. The guardsman arrested Adara and Dekyon, holding them in jail until they could testify to a Conclave representative that Ithic was mindcontrolling houseless drow to do his bidding.
While in prison, Adara survived the attempts of a cellmate to kill her in her sleep.
Despite Ithic's attempts to subvert her, Adara testified to a Conclave clerk about Ithic's enslavement of houseless drow, having seen the mindflayer's practices for herself. Dekyon, however, was successfully manipulated by Ithic.
Once the Conclave clerk received Adara's testimony, she and Dekyon were free to go. The two managed to hire Bregan D'aerthe to escort them back to the surface.
Although the Bregan D'aerthe mercenary was shortchanged, he thought that the business dealing was a good personal learning experience.

Elementals Be Acting Up
Saturday, June 11, 2011
Damakos and Tajule rest on the shores of Lake Weng. The local water elementals decide to do something about it. They fail.
A gargantuan Eldest Water Elemental surges up out of the lake. Damakos and Tajule fight it in the water, but it keeps regenerating itself. The two warriors lure the elemental onto the shore, where they finally manage to destroy it.
It leaves behind a volatile water essence, which Damakos picks up. This stirs up the ire of more elementals, and Damakos gives the essence back.
In the ogre caves of the Troll Claw Hills, Graward, Bak, Verix, and Dolan Ironfaar manage to defeat a number of powerful ogres, including an arcanist and a summoner. The summoner drops a volatile earth essence.
The group decides to bring it back to Candlekeep in the hopes of safely disposing of it. They are attacked by elementals the entire way back.
The four of them run into a paladin named Aranath and a dwarf named Gunrimm at Candlekeep.
Phlydia helps them neutralize the essence. She even makes something useful out of it.
Rewards:
XP

Leakage
Monday, June 13, 2011
Nisa, Karl, Grum, Aedin, and _____ (if anyone remembers the fifth person's name, let me know) run into a swarm of monstrous insects and arachnids surging up from a couple of holes in the earth.
They manage to plug one hole with a well-placed boulder. They try to plug the other hole too, but it proves to be more difficult. Oozes and even a gelatinous cube leak through the rocky cracks. The party, not ones to think small, work together to uproot a tree and shove it into the hole. They plug it.

Speedy Delivery!
Friday, June 17, 2011
The food vendor at the Friendly Arm Inn is woefully out of carrots and squash. Thumbler, the nose-picking bardic half-orc, offers to help the guy out. The vendor tells him that he can get vegetables at the farmlands north, near Baldur's Gate. Thumbler's caretaker, Evael Lachiney, and Wing Marko travel north with Thumbler.
Along the way:
Thumbler has a deep philosophical discussion (. . . not really) with the Flaming Fist Bruiser stationed outside the Inn.
The group is beset by bandits and local wildlife. Wing Marko and Evael are crucial to the party's survival.
After receiving a heavy crate of vegetables from Jorn, Thumbler ties it around his waist and drags it, so that he can wield his crossbow.
Evael and Wing work tirelessly to keep the half-orc out of trouble.
When they finally get the goods back to the food vendor, he awards the group with protective amulets.
Thumbler then breaks out into a song about their adventure. The food vendor stares blankly, and then finally realizes that Thumbler is the winner of last week's Open Theater Night.
Evael is pleased that her charge is so popular. Wing seems to be glad that he could help such a fine half-orc.
Thumbler chases a rolling apple.
Rewards:
Amulets of Natural Protection

Transported Goods
Friday, July 1, 2011
Trader Moe is driving his wagon north along the Trade Way with his bodyguard and two horses when three different tribes of giants descend upon him. Their furious assault leaves a horse crushed and his wagon stuck. The giants retreat for some reason.
Raiyli, Gatewarden Irini, Camthalion, and Cale all come across Moe. From a distance, the giants begin chucking boulders. Moe's bodyguard is crushed, but everyone else manages to avoid gruesome death. Moe jumps into his wagon to hide.
The four adventurers take the fight to the giants. After a long and furious struggle, the giants are defeated with the help of a Flaming Fist Champion.
The adventurers walk back to Moe's wagon and demand to know what Moe is carrying to attract such attention. Moe insists that he does not know.
Cale slashes at the wagon, revealing barrels of food, bolts of cloth, and a crate of books. Normal trade goods.
Raiyli and Irini sense that something is off, however. Raiyli cannot pin down just what it is, but Irini goes straight for the crate of books. She picks out a plain black book and accuses Moe of transporting a necromantic spellbook. Moe is dumbfounded. Convinced that Moe really had no idea what he was carrying, the adventurers let him go.
Camthalion summons his bear and asks it to help them move the wagon. Camthalion escorts Moe to Baldur's Gate, and rewards him with a magical amulet.
Meanwhile, Irini and Raiyli travel to Candlekeep. The book is in Irini's possession. Raiyli, already distrustful of Irini, is offended by something Irini does in regard to Chauntea. In front of Candlekeep, Raiyli attacks the Gatewarden. The Candlekeep guards see their commander fighting, and rush to subdue Raiyli. They throw Raiyli in the Candlekeep jail.
Irini and Raiyli exchange words in the holding cell.
They both await the Candlekeep Guide.

Hungry Hungry Dwarf
Tuesday, January 3, 2012
Nathan Goldenmane overhears one of Thunderhammer's apprentices complaining about forgetting his lunch. Nathan suggests going to one of the inns and getting food there, but Thunderhammer wants his apprentices working around the clock to fill in all the orders that have been coming in because of the upcoming war. The apprentice asks Nathan to get some food for him.
Nathan goes to the Burning Wizard to get steak and mushroom soup. He may have been overcharged a little by the tavern.
The dwarf, while thankful for the food, does not have enough gold to pay Nathan back. So he sharpens one of Nathan's kukris, privately pitying the lad for using such a mundane weapon.
