Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
The elven woman... women? ... known as Echo, and her small gray cat were both seen leaving Doron Amar.
She did not speak to anyone, at least not anyone who may have tried to speak with her as appearances go. She simply continued on her path, to points unknown.
Her whisperings to the cat, and to herself were largely nonsensical, and in a jumble of common and Elven.
The only thing she took with her, that she did not already have on her back, was a few days' rations, and a holy symbol of the Triune Goddess, Angharradh. The majority of her belongings were left at the feet of the Goddess' statue in Doron Amar.

Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
Scarlett makes her way to various points, and offers those entitled to such things updated books of poetry. The select few to receive the hand written treasures do not find the practice out of the ordinary as she has done so often. She is later seen walking south, singing a quiet song. As the melody fades on the spring breezes... so too does the Crimson Phoenix as she slips between the shadows, wrapping herself in a cloak of magics. Later, those entitled would find one short poem, and a single white feather tucked in the back of the bindings.
~A FAREWELL FOR NOW~
This Phoenix still has much to learn
The fires still have much to burn
Know that you hold a place in my heart so high
Smile, for you taught this wounded dove to fly
Someday maybe our paths may cross
Do not weep, for this isn't a loss
Gently dream and fondly smile
Memories dear all the while

A reputable farmer passing down the trade way catches ear of Thedrans heroics, and through the process of "operator," a couple select taverns in BG spread the antic-tote of how Lorin defeated the great Thedran with his own shovel.

Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
Whilst minding his own business at the fire near the Friendly Arm Inn, Sergeant Amos Roland was approached by a man in mail who asked him what may be the most preposterous question he'd heard all day.
"Sir, may I report a crime?" the fellow inquired.
Grumbling, Sergent Roland turned to the man and asked what the crime was.
"A druid, sitting on the bench here at the camp, annoyed the woman Rai and would not leave her alone. She challenged him and walked into the woods, where he followed. She attacked him and downed him, but left him alive. In the forest, and away from the road."
"So... he got his arse kicked for pesterin' and pissin' off a woman?"
"Yes." The fellow in mail responded calmly.
The guardsman just stared at the man... and burst out laughing. Regaining his composure, he chuckled. "Tell her to kick him in the crotch next time. Tends to cool their ardor right fast."
Still snickering and breaking into chuckles, the sergeant moved over to lean on the signpost by the fire, his evening brightened by the humor of the situation.

Several months later, the red clad poet is seen wandering familiar haunts again... Seeming in much better spirits. A familiar waltz once again graces the breeze. // also by popular demand... the one she actually hums more often than not. //

Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
A fire-genasi was seen traveling the trade way when he was approached by an individual claiming to represent Duke Eltan as a tax collector. After witnessing suspicious behavior, the Genasi elementalist refused to pay the 200gp fee. The "tax collector" was then seen pushing the genasi to the ground and snatching his gold pouch from his belt.
Upon returning to his feet, the genasi began speaking mystic words and moving his hands in spell-casting gestures, turning the scythe wielding bandit to stone.
After retrieving a paladin of helm and member of the Radiant Heart to investigate, the bandit's petrification was reversed and handed over to the proper authorities for further questioning.

Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
It is always there, for those standing still enough to hear the song that rustles and pipes through the wood, through the cities, against the shoreline and down the Tradeway.
The whispering wind catches a few words here, a few words there...and a story, nay a plot, is carried along...
The mad elf...
The rise of evil men...
A perpetually unfinished tower...
The scorn of ancient undead, reborn...
Old masters of lore teaching, yet blind...
The ranger bends his ear, hearing what comes on the Wind, knowing it is beyond his skills to decipher the exact meaning with no discernable beginning nor end. But clear as day something brews, caused by man, elf and dwarf alike...and those that are no longer...human.

Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
Reports spread concerning abductions of the living by undead!
Several witnesses and adventurers have reported kidnappings and attacks by groups of undead within the expanse of the Tradeway. Warnings concerning travel to and from any major townships, villages and cities north and south of the Gate has been issued. The Fist have upped their patrol efforts in light of the disturbing news, in order too quell panic that could affect commerce through the fabled trade route.
Many who have lived to recount the attacks by the hordes have similarities within their testimonies that many of the ones abducted had latent or learned abilities in the arcane and other witchcraft...

A golden cloak and hood clad man is seen travelling the lengths of the Trade Way battling any and all undead that attempt to attack those on the Trade Way. An occasional battlecry is heard from the man:
"In Lathander's name, you will fall!"
"Undead abominations, I will see you destroyed!"

Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
Its a small rumor and not very many people put stock in it but every so often people will hear tell of a Black Clad elven archer who was seen taunting and teasing a troll of Monstrous size. The troll giving chase after the elf All over the Fields of the Dead during the entire night. The rumors further state that the massive tremor felt all the way to the Friendly Arm inn that morning was in truth the Troll falling dead from the archers many taunts and arrows....
Rumor also has it that this is merely the tales of drunkards and people with too much time imagining stories for some claim to have been witness to this outlandish tale. However no remains were ever found nor evidence that such a spectacle occurred save for the massive unexplained tremor in the ground.

Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
Rumour has it that Renec Rokranon, the brother to Sir Jonas, and champion of Helm, has picked up a very unusual item. He is seen at all times now carrying a very large bundle across his back, wrapped in black silk. Rumours are abound about what it could be, though the most popular one is that the item is a sword of some kind.

Re: Rumours of Baldur's Gate
Those who frequent the Friendly Arm Inn and its environs tell the tale that Boddlebock "the Blue," a gnome and dangerous pest for several weeks now, has been slain in the Wood of Sharp Teeth. The rumors say it was a pit fiend, locked on this plane, and when adventurers retrieved the planar anchor holding it here, he transformed -- and was destroyed, banished back to the Nine Hells.
So ends the tale of "Boddlebock the Blue," insane wizard, pit fiend-in-disguise.
