Tarathiel of Queen Alustriel's Spellguard

Unread post by Biotechkid »

Tarathiel of Silverymoon

Tarathiel was raised by his foster father Daeron, who was a member of
Queen Alustriel's spellguard in Silverymoon. Tarathiel was raised with
human beliefs and human ideals. His father has seen to his martial
training and when Tarathiel showed a sensitivity to magic, he was
trained in the arcane arts as well.
When he reached his 30th birthday, his father passed away. All of his
fathers spellbooks were left for Tarathiel to continue his studies.
Tarathiel stayed in his adoptive fathers house with Daeron's human son
Javek. Javek and Tarathiel looked out for one another and began
training together. Although Javek had no arcane aptitude, he was
a remarkable swordsman. When Javek reached his 23rd birthday, he and
Tarathiel left Silverymoon and joined the adventuring band called the
Twilight Defenders. With the adventuring group, they battled an evil
red dragon, investigated various tombs and crypts, uncovered a plot in
Luskan led by a dangerous illithid, destroyed a roaming coven of
vampires and many other feats.
When the adventuring party was slain by an undead lich and his pet
eye tyrants in the ruins of Myth Drannor, Tarathiel was the only one
left alive. After watching his brother fall in battle, Tarathiel opened
up a dimensional door and barely escaped with his life.
After his brothers death, Tarathiel went back to Silverymoon and joined
her majesties Spellguard, just as his adoptive father had done. The Spellguard is a group of arcane magic users whose job it is to protect the city of Silverymoon.
After moving through the ranks for 10 years, the captain of the
Spellguard began sending Tarathiel on special missions throughout the
silver marches. Currently he is on assignment near baldurs gate.
