I need some RP help. I'm playing a Lawful Neutral cleric of Mystra, and I was curious as to how Mystra views Necromancy.

After a little bit of searching ive come to the conclusion that this is in fact a debated subject in the Church of Mystra itself. Some believing if it does not hurt the weave its fine, while others fear the corruptible nature of undeath and evil magic is a force that should be stopped. So there are many ways to go with this and you would still be lore wise correct. A good example would be the vast difference in beliefs between Elminster and Blackstaff, or the fact that Sammaster was once a chosen of Mystra before he became a lich. Keep in mind where on the Lawful Neutral Mystra before the Neutral good Midnight.

Mystra's only goal is the maintenance of the Weave, nothing else matters. You earn Mystra's ban as soon as you cast a spell that has great potential to harm the Weave, which will alert her.

Is this still active?

I always appreciate constructive feedback for my RP. My current character is a human female sorceress named Bellatrix Wrenn. Level two and still exploring the world and meeting people.

Haven't met Bellatrix or Alec Snyder, I'll be sure to engage them in conversation if I do! :)

Btw, how's my RPing with Nicolas Oblonsky, for those who have had a chance to speak or adventure with him? He's only lvl 5 atm (or six soon, depending on when DMs get to my bio) so not too many interactions yet.

Was thinking of making a secondary toon aside from my Dwarf Duncan Redbeard. This Toon would be a member of the Brotherhood of the Glorious Sun and be a Paladin/Cleric of Amaunator and go around preaching about Lathanders transformation. Last time I played a toon like this it created very interesting RP from both the good and evil players as most of the people he dealt with thought he was a loon. I just wanted to ask here and see if anyone would have an issue with this before I brought something like this in game. I have wrote of several speeches and whatnot already and would like to subject the playerbase and Dm's here to.

Just wondering what folks thought about this.

Thanks

Keep in mind the current server year is 1347. It's not clear that Brotherhood of the Glorious Sun is yet in existence, and although the "heresy" of Lathander being an incarnation of Amaunator is likely to be around it's probably not widely known.

I recall seeing one Amaunator priestess once, preaching the "heresy". I dont' know what became of her. I think it's an interesting angle to RP.

Can I get an outside opinion on how I'm managing RPing Rastin's Cha score? His base charisma is 6 ( -2 mod), and I have been trying to mix it between the fact that he's pretty ugly, is obviously a tiefling if he ever removes his hood (which he doesn't) and is pretty much an overly-blunt and argumentative individual.

I figure the fact that he conceals his features is functionally a mitigating factor that I've been playing around to avoid turning him into a completely disgusting individual in terms of habits and behavior.
