Ivaris Alomane
It is time:
Fire danced in rythym all around him. The flames reached high from the flames below into the darkness, flickering the scearm with violent motion and the screams...
...The screams echoed through that hollow place. Where darkness, dust, fire, and ash was all there was. The screams reverberated through his mind, beckoning him to join their pain and threatening to rip the very fibers of his sanity. The smell of burning flesh prevails the nose, sickening and revolting. The feeling of aloneness was unbearable. He fell to his knees.
"Where... am I?" he wondered.
A lone thought in a sea of flames as the damned burning around him. What fate had befallen him?
Soon something was felt, its very presence of sucked the very life from your body. A twisted and dark entity. Fires seeth from it, this cursed beast set into eternal flames. Damned ever to burn.
In a loud, deep voice the creatrue booms, "It is time."
At the sight of this beast he rises to his feet. Never would such a fiend see him on his knees before it. He narrows his eyes at the demon, summoning what strength he can in this place to stand defiant against it.
"Why have you brought me here, beast?" Ivaris demanded.
"I give you a message, we know where you are. We will hunt you down, and will will make you suffer. We will destroy everything you hold dear, and strip it from you. Then we will make you bleed, bleed you dry." The demon stated in a menacing tone.
Anger flashes in Ivaris' eyes, "Cowards, how dare you! You think you can bring me to this place and threaten me with your words. Your words carry no weight, you are naught but lies. You think you hold power, you are damned. I will break every last one of you kind. The day you meet me is the day you meet the end." He boldly proclaimed to the demon.
The demon flashes a look of uncertainty. He is taken aback, that one would speak to him as such. This one did not crumble as some many others had. He was defiant in his sight. The demon felt his spell weaken, and quickly worked to maintain his hold.
"Fool mortal, we will flay the skin from your body. We will visit upon you untold tortures by your kind. We will make you watch as we slaughter those you care for. We will make you bathe in their blood. You need only bow before us and we may spare you this fate. Your path is in error, you cannot see the world we wish to build. A world of pleasures."
"Your pleasures are wanton murder and filth. O wicked one, corrupt in thine heart. Your pleasures are sins and you delight in them. If you think you will take those I love from me, you will find you way is blocked. They are protected by angels and you cannot have them, for they are not yours. Do you think me foolish enough to bow before you, you who is lowly even unto me. It is you who will bow, you will bow for I shall break you." Ivaris said as something in him seeths.

Re: Ivaris Alomane
This was wrong. This wasn't how it was supposed to go. He was supposed to be afraid, he was supposed to fear loseing what he holds dear. He was supposed to cling, but he didn't. The demon knew there was nothing more he could say. He wanted to run, he was afraid. He watched as Ivaris stood there, a man who defied him within his own domain.
"Mortal, you have met your end here today. Know that we come for you, and we will crush you when we get to you." the demon bellowed.
"It is time." Ivaris said.
Sweat dripped from his brow as he woke startled. He rubbed his eyes and looked around the room in bewilderment. Another dream. He could not help the aftershock feeling of panic that panged him. He would have to try harder to protect them. He sliped out of bed and walked down the hallway to wash his face. He gazed into the mirror, the message he had been given echoing in his recesses of his mind.
"It is time... can you protect them?" Ivaris said to himself, stareing into his own eyes.

Re: Ivaris Alomane
Trail of Temptation:
The moonlight pierced the veil of the treetops, sending it pale light sweeping across the forest floor. A heavy mist had rolled through the deep woods, obscuring vision and leaving a light coat of moisture upon all it touched. The sounds of the deep woods echoed around him, preying upon the senses that something ominous was lurking in the shadows. He drew up his face mask and stretched out his hands before the fire. He slowly looked about his campsite, as if awaiting someone... or something. Then, he noticed something. As he strained to listen it became all to clear. The silence that had fallen upon the forest was deafening.
He hurriedly shut the book he had been reading by firelight. It wasn't long before the smell prevailed his nose. He could smell it, a mixture of ash and brimstone, but also the smell of filth and corruption. He had company. Within moments the light of the moon had vanished, hidden from sight by a growing number of darkening clouds. He felt it, the cold, the anger, the fear, it was numbing. He did not draw his weapon, nor did he raise a hand in defence. As the veil of darkness parted a lone figure stepped into the light of the fire. He was tall and slinder, his skin bronzed, shoulders broad and wide. He held a musclar frame with chisled cheekbones. His smile would make ladies swoon and his hair was long, kept up in a ponytail. He was handsome, devilishly handsome. He was made to be pleasing to the eye, until you looked into his. They were empty, full of regret and remorse, yet still defiant to continue upon it's dark path.
The figure spoke softly, "Nice night eh stranger?"
Ivaris shook his head, he called back,"What bring you to the deep woods on a night like this then?"

Re: Ivaris Alomane
The figure made a sweeping motion around the fire and came to stand beside Ivaris, "I heard there was a shepard in these woods looking for," the figure seemed to ponder for a moment, "sheep?" he finished his sentance with a quizzical tone.
The man continued,"I was wondering if I could be a sheep too, can you save me?" he grinned.
Ivaris scoffed, "No matter how many times you put on the skin of a sheep, you are still a wolf."
"Eh fair enough, but this skin allows me to dine on a good number of sheep before I go." The figure shrugged then ended with a wolfish grin.
Ivaris calmed the anger rising within him, "Enough, just do what you are here to do and begone from me."
The figured sighed, "You never did like us to have any fun. Fine, look I'm not going to sit here and throw threats at you about killing you. We both know that is pointless. So instead I want to offer you something else." He glanced skyward then returned to his train of thought, "We may not be able to kill you, but we sure as hell can make you suffer. We can make your life the stuff nightmares are made of." The figure paused a moment to guage Ivaris' reaction.
Seeing the Ivaris was gazing at him with a furrowed brow he went on, "All you have to do to avoid this is.. well just stop. Just turn around, and walk another path. Go find a nice girl, raise a family, you know.. that..," he cringed.
"Pitiful, you still think you can sway me from what I am to do? How thick is that skull of yours? No matter what you do, you will not break me." Ivaris shot back angerly, his body tensed.
The man rolled his eyes, "See here I am trying to be senseable and all you can do is yell. I'm trying to tell you to go have a good life and you get angry. We are willing to go so far as to give you whatever you desire in this world. We'll throw in a noble title, you'll have land and power, women will flock to you. Imagine the good you could do with a title like that. Why in fact your words would hold sway with the Dukes!" the figure finished trying to strike a dignified posture.
Ivaris laughed, he laughed hard at the man who's dignified poise crumbled as he was mocked. Now the man was angry, insulted. He glared at Ivaris, wished to walk over and choke the life out of him. He flexed his hands at his side in a choking motion. Oh how he wanted to kill this man.
After a moment of laughter Ivaris spoke, "You think I care for titles or power? You think I want to run around chasing women? I'm not here for these things. These are not my priorities, the fact is there are to many people I care about counting on me now. Whatever my life was is over now, it is a matter of who I must be. My life is sacrifice, for their sakes. What I do now, who I must be, I do for them. Though this may make me a marked man in your eyes, in mine... you are damned"
The man howled with rage, it echoed through the dark woods. "How DARE YOU! You insulant man, we will beat you down yet. We WILL break you, and when we do will will hang your body in the streets for all to see. Your defiance is at its end. Our will is surpreme and the mortals of this world will bend to it. They are beneath us, always were and always will be. We are their rulers, we are their gods."
Ivaris calmly looked at the man, "Do you remember me? Do you know me?"
The demons grew afraid, "Who are you?"
With that the demons who had taken this man left. The man stood bewildered for a moment. That night, this man who had been plauged by demons sat and had supper with a shepard.
The man continued,"I was wondering if I could be a sheep too, can you save me?" he grinned.

Re: Ivaris Alomane
Wings of an Angel:
He awoke in the night to something stirring in the dark. He quickly arose from his bed and looked out into the dark. He felt the cold presence creeping over him.
"We've come to test you again," the voices said.
He shakes his head, "No, I will have no more tests, no more trials. There is nothing for me to prove to you anymore. You've hurt me all you can and yet still I stand. You've taken everything from me yet still I continue. You murdered me, yet I remain."
A silence hung upon the air. It was thick and clung to the body. The demons gathered in greater numbers in the dark. They had plans, plans of torture. There was no test, no trial. They wanted to hurt him, to beat him, to murder him. They hated him for what he was, for who he was. They couldn't win so they wanted to strike at him in every way possible. So they would, they would never relent upon him. Everyone thought they could protect him, thought they would keep him from suffering. He knew better, they could not protect him from them. There was no saving him.
The demons pressed forward upon him in greater numbers. They beset upon him, trying to press him to the group with their combined spiritual force. Not this time, no Ivaris was no longer playing their games. He had kept his secret dormant, had not used the sword. The sword which had no blade, the sword only he could wield. As they pressed down upon him he held his mind toward heaven and in a moment he was granted athority and permission to use his spiritual gifts. The demons halted and screached for they could see the transformation. The wings of the angels unfurled from upon his back, white and pure. A blade of holy power wrapped itself down around his arm and formed itself into his weapon, shining with the purest of white. His eyes became golden, radiating light and power. Yet they could not see his face, it was hidden from them. A halo of glory rested upon his head and he was adorned in holy reinments, the feeling of pure love radiated from his body. Yet in the eyes of man he remained the same. The eyes of man would not see this form... not yet.
The demons fell to thier knees. They cried, "Spare us, O spare us holy one."

Re: Ivaris Alomane
As he gazed down to the demons they screamed in pain. They could not run for he held them in place. His piercing eyes now searched their hearts and he saw them for what they really were.
"Your time has not yet come, you will not meet your end here today. Know this, when I come this world will tremble. It ends, their pain, their fear, their suffering. When it ends, so do you," he spoke with a supernatural voice. It was calm and beautiful, yet to them it was terrifying beyond belief.
The demons pleaded, "We only sought to make you strong. We were testing you to make you better!"
The tips of his wings began to burn, they were shifting. "DO NOT LIE TO ME," he boomed, his voice shaking the walls of the room.
The demons fell silent and trembled. The wings then burst forth into flames, white, silver, and golden fire arched from his wings. The demons cried out and hid their eyes. They cried out, "We are not worthy"
"Begone from me, you are not welcomed in my presence or within my house," Ivaris commanded.
At once the demons departed. With all haste they fled from his sight. Shortly after the gifts left him and he returned as he was. He breathed out slightly and a look of sadness crossed his face.

Re: Ivaris Alomane
Forgiveness:
The stone tiles of the floor where cold upon his knees. His words offered to the heavens above in humble prayer. A hand was laid upon his shoulder in comfort, and a gentle voice said, "You know what happened don't you?"
"Yes, I know what they did. I know what they consipired in the dark." Ivaris replied plainly.
He shook his head and in his eyes he held sadness, not for himself but for them. "They think me a fool, think I do not know. They test my patience with childish games and seek to make me out to be the monster."
The voice replyed soothingly, "So what will you do?"
Ivaris took a deep breath and let it out, "I will forgive them and love them anyway. I will continue on as if I do not know. I will let them believe me to be the fool, for in the end the eyes of judgement will be cast upon them. I pray mercy will find them and they will seek forgiveness before that time."
"You have a big heart, I am sorry it was hurt so." the voice said with sympathetic overtones.
Ivaris said, "Do not feel sorry for me, it is in these times I find my greatest strength. When I face the demons of anger and hate and cast them aside with love and compassion. I will love them still though they have shown me hate."
The hand leaves his shoulder and he is alone again. Even within his moment of pain at being hurt by those he loves, he still found it within himself to forgive. When the seeds of hate were planted he uprooted them and replaced them with love. He was happy, for not even this would break him. He was becoming unbreakable.

Aftermath:
He breathed in deeply. The battle had been won, but a price had been paid. This recent battle made it painfully clear, there was no turning back now. Many people had been hurt, but none understood the effects of what had happened. He had drove them back, he stood his ground. But he had once again lost, as with every battle.
He now tracks forward knowing of the possible fate that awaits him.

Love:
How far was he really willing to go? He thought about them, about their smiles and laughter. What price was would he pay to keep it? Would the love inside his heart be enough?
In the end, the price for his love was clear. In a world that was cold and unforgiving he was an outcast. Love is long suffering. The willingness to give all of yourself for another. So he would give, give all of himself for them. He did not wish to go, he wanted to stay. Is it allowed? Is he allowed to love?

The Tattoo:
Somewhere along the road of life, it seems he decided to have ink done. He had only one, but it meant more than what showed. It was a riddle. He had gotten it on the inside of his left bicep, and every once in a while he could almost understand a message in it before it left his mind.
Running down his arm was this:
जै गूरु देव ॐ
But what did it mean?
No one seemed to be able to read it, no one understood it.
Could he unravel it?
Somewhere along the road of life, it seems he decided to have ink done. He had only one, but it meant more than what showed. It was a riddle. He had gotten it on the inside of his left bicep, and every once in a while he could almost understand a message in it before it left his mind.
Running down his arm was this:
जै गूरु देव ॐ
But what did it mean?
No one seemed to be able to read it, no one understood it.
Could he unravel it?
Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
What seeds have you sown in the garden?
What seeds have you sown in the garden?

Song of Remorse:
All that glitters is not gold
Even an angel of light is a wonder to behold
Who comes to you on sunlights wings
To deliver you your needful things
But such things do bear a price
For it doth cost you all your life
Unto him you give your soul
And slip under thrones of his control
There do the worms enfold
The tale of darkness' hold
As they lie you down in cemetary
For who you were has become a memory
All that glitters is not gold
Even an angel of light is a wonder to behold
Who comes to you on sunlights wings
To deliver you your needful things
But such things do bear a price
For it doth cost you all your life
Unto him you give your soul
And slip under thrones of his control
There do the worms enfold
The tale of darkness' hold
As they lie you down in cemetary
For who you were has become a memory
Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Overcome:
Where had he been? The fog from his mind clearing at last, he saw himself at last. His reflection, his image, his face, he remembered it now. It had been like a nightmare and he was finally waking up again. He had been so blinded by himself that he had stopped listening and he had stopped caring. He had all but given up and had given in to grief. But hope yet remained.
Overcome by grief he had collapsed in the darkness. As they nipped at him, tearing at fears and insecurities they reached up, to drag him down. He was drownding, slowly in a sea of dispair. Yet a hand reached out to him, calling out to him in the veil of shadows. He shook his head and slowly began to awaken again. His heart beat once more. A gift had been given, something that sparkled in the twilight of the night. It had been cloaked in shadow, but yet inside was there a glimmer of hope.
Was I dead?
For how long?
Am I alive again?
I had walked withing death's shadow, I had been so lost within my own self I had fallen away. But even among the rubble of what I called my life I had found a pearl. Someone who had cared enough to reach out to me. You see I did not save myself, it was love that saved me.
Hope, it is always there, even in the shadows.
"I must not faulter now, I must persist. I will reach out and touch faith again. I will overcome the pain and wash it away with the light of love once more."

Remember me:
I hope that sometime, when you think of me, you will smile. You will remember that I was here. I want you to remember how much I love you. What I would give ...
I give myself away and I continue. I give because caring is all I know, it's what my heart calls for. I just wanted to tell you. Wanted to show you.
I hope you will remember me.
