People of the Sword Coast do not think that the Shadow Master is acting as a Druid! This man is a coward, and a vile man seeking power and to be feared along the coast and ~nothing~ more.

I am Kald Blake, paladin of Meilikki, an guardian of the local circle in this area. This man known as the Shadow Master has a name as well, it is Faerynn. I once called this man friend, but he lied to me when I asked if he was the Shadow Master. He told me he knew nothing of it, he proved to me each word form his mouth is a utter lie, and in the end spineless.

The first time I fought him he attempted to flee and failed I took him to the Fist, and I am sorry to say I took mercy on him and allowed him to live. Now however I assure you he will be found and slain, for he is hardly a man to be feared, his faith is false and his power rooted in corruption. He ~will~ fail in his attempt to bring war to the Fist from the forest. He seeks to anger the adventurers, and the Fist by harming the weak, and ~hiding~ from the strong.

People of the Sword Coast, remember though! This man summons the undead! He uses dark necromancy to try and empower himself. He is ~no~ druid. Those who aid him are ~not~ aiding nature. Do not hold these actions against those who guard the woods and the balance! I myself guard the woods, and the balance and I assure you this man has lost his mind. He is mad for power and war, nothing else. I pray you all heed this call and do not punish all Druids for the aactions of this false one.

Three lightnings have been drawn on the parchment at the campfire.
Beneath them, written with an uncertain and shaking handwriting, there's a sentence:

"Faerynn, we have a deal."

[Elohir]

*Elohir approaches the board at the campfire outside the Friendly Arm Inn. He reads the message posted by Kald. As he reads it he realizes his brother truly has fallen into darkness and there is probably nothing he can do to bring him back.*

*Elohir mutters to himself from under his hood* "Brother, I have done all that I can to save you from darkness...and I have failed. May Our Lady of the Forest guide you to redemption, for if she does not, Kald Blake will."

*His eyes travel to another parchment on the board and reads what was posted...he then mutters to himself again.* "Well, it appears my brother may be busy yet again. I should look into this, unseen."

[Faerynn]

*The evening gets cooler and the sun sets giving way to darkness and shadows deepen. The campfire near the Friendly Arm Inn is empty and no one is present on the Tradeway. A dark figure appears just outside of the dim light of the burning embers of what remains from the campfire, a coldness permeates the air as the presence of a wraith appears at his side. The clinking sound of armor can be heard as a member of the Fist patrols, but he is a long distance off and mostly unaware of his surroundings.

The dark figure, ever cautious and wary now, approaches the campfire. There he reads the notes posted on the board set there by the Fist to proclaim their power and jurisdiction.

After reading the notes, the dark figure smiles... especially at the note that says "Faerynn, we have a deal"

Maybe the dark figure was the only one who knew the meaning of that note... it did not matter to him now. Everything was transpiring as he had planned.

The dark figure walked away and disappeared into the shadows... but then the archaic words of some dark magick were spoken and the sign at the campfire exploded into flames destroying the notes. And then he was gone.*
