In Charles (person)' "A Christmas Carol", Scrooge saw what the future beheld and worked to make the world a better place than where it was headed: Are we allowed the same chance?
Can our deeds feasibly alter the events of the Realms timeline from what canon dictates? (Examples: Hunting down Xvimite & Banite heretics forestalling or preventing Bane's ressurection, devout of Bhaal murdering that threat Cyric before he turns everything on its head, or the founding of the new player Orders meaning disasters that otherwise would've happened are prevented? Evil Dhaerow affecting the War of the Spider Queen more or less in thier own favor? Surely an Epic PC ending an Epic NPC like F'zoul would change things.)
Our heroes and villains are in addition to assumed events in canon. It only makes sense history takes a different course from dramatic change.

I don't see Fzoul dying...that guy is brutal...just like I don't see Halaster or Simbul dying...but I guess we can try. Their gear is a lot better then ours...
