Personality Profile: Sywyn is normally quiet in large groups, watching and listening for the most part. When in smaller groups, he has a dry sense of humor that often comes across as insulting instead of funny.

Background: Sywyn never mentions where he is from other than to say here and there, giving an impression that he travelled a lot as a child. Sywyn learned his skills from his elven father, a ranger who traveled often. His mother is a fighter and is as comfortable in the forest as she is in the city. Both are still alive and travelling somewhere in the heartlands but Sywyn has struck out on his own, striving to be his own man. The scars on his face are from when he was a youngster and would test himself and ended up getting into several scraps with forest creatures as he was trying to learn their natures. His father often followed him on these excursions without Sywyn knowing and saved him more than once from being eaten by the creatures he was trying to study. The tip of his ear was actually bitten off by a badger during one of these encounters.

Goals: Sywyn is working to become the best at what he does as a scout and pathfinder. He believes his job is to be the first one into a combat area being as far ahead of the main part of the battle line as possible to learn all that he can about the enemy. He is not above taking out as many of the guards as he can find that are by themselves making it easier for the main force to win the battle.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: Sywyn has an uncle who is a cleric of Oghma who taught him to read and instilled a lifelong love of knowledge and learning in him. While most of his knowledge is of the forest and wild lands, he tries to absorb all that he can and will often have a little knowledge on just about every subject. He will go out of his way if he hears of someplace with a rare book, and once he finds and reads it he will normally just give it to any who ask for it, often before he is even finished if they have a great need.
