rping intimidate

hi all im making a hellfire warlock and i have taken the 6 in intimidate. My question is if i decide to say put some more points in and try to intimidate my why out of pvp or some thing to that nature. How would i work that in RP?

I'm not a DM but I think that you have to have a willing opponent for that to work in this world. The real question that needs to be answered is what would the opposed roll be in this case? I have seen many different responses to this, but I think there really should be a server standard put in place

Skill vs ability score has been mentioned, but that is dumb. Skills grow way faster than ability scores.

Will save? Probably unfair to the intimidator as saves can quickly grow faster than skills.

Skill vs skill? Not realistic IMO.

Skills rolls are only necessary when a DM tells you to do so. If you want to use intimidate as an option to roleplay out, keep in mind that the player character doesn't need to roll a counter-skill to your intimidate roll unless a DM asks them to do so.
