Skazz Stormforge - the man...er, dwarf with a lute

Unread post by Nomolies »

Name: Skazz Stormforge
Race: Shield Dwarf
Class: Bard
Alignment: Neutral Good
Deity: Dugmaren Brightmantle
Gender: Male
Height: average, for a dwarf
Weight/build: a little slimmer than an average dwarf

Short biography:
Hailing from orc-infested mountains of Vast, Skazz used to serve his clan as a singer-songwriter, storyteller and lorekeeper, as even dwarves - in rare moments of being calm, still and sober, of course - need to have someone to record their history or simply sing praises. Feeling the urge to delve into a world of broader knowledge, he left the Stormforge fortress and went west, with Sword Coast, a land rich in heroes and stories (and let's not forget Candlekeep), being a default target.

Along the way - somewhere in Sembia - in a rather extraordinary turn of events, he became acquaintanced with a warlock known as Viktor Grey. Facing a shared destination and many tendays of hardships, the two became good companions and steadfast drinking buddies. To this day Viktor remains his trustworthy companion-of-choice.

General information, attitude:
Skazz's driving motivation is, pure and simple, to see the Realms and, however weird it may sound, experience them. He restlessly either accumulates or invents new stories, songs and legends, seeking inspiration in his own misadventures. The same applies to everything that falls under the broad term of "lore", thus, he is passionate about discoveries and inventions; also, the idea of scholarship of magic fascinates him (yet it doesn't stop him from jokingly teasing those "crazy wizzies").

Putting those pursuits aside though, Skazz is, well, a dwarf. At times, he's quick to smash some skulls, all brash and fiery, plus, he often forges acquired knowledge/trivia/pieces of information into bizarre battle cries and taunts that...er...don't work. However, he is not dumb; he also lacks typical dwarven prejudice - while he may play along racial stereotypes and connotations, he does it purely for the sake of entertainment and tease, never due to his own beliefs. He's also concerned with the ultimate fate of dwarves, whose numbers decrease more and more, and he dreams of being able to carve an immortal niche for his people in history - so that when they finally fade away, they won't be forgotten.

Additionally, he simply enjoys what he does, and he always appreciates a good story.

After all, the Realms are full of stories...

...and not all bards are defenseless pansies.
