Wizz/sorc Drow in the UD possible?

Maybe you miss one little problem: UD is dead, there is never anybody to play with.

Must be a timezone thing then, cause I often see lots of people leveling. Just the other day my fiance found a group of 7 to level with near the umberhulks.

I don't know what level you're at, but if you ever see Ryltar or Sabrae on, feel free to send us a tell (we're at 7/8, respectfully). Truthfully, we rarely grind, but you might catch us doing the quests

What are the quest in the UD? Last time I was there, there were only silly ones to collect ore/weapons.

It doesn't have to be dead, if it is. I love it down there personally. May try the surface, but for now focused on the UD.

Good day.
I started a drow sorc not long ago.
As we all know they got a +2 lvl adjustment.
Iam lvl 3 now and its nearly not possible to do any valuable things alone. You have to choose betwen being one hited and get about 10 xp per kill.
Will this change at any level or is drow caster a thing of impossibility and only doable with freinds which level you?

Stack AC/reduction spells. Fireburst and firewall (depending on environment) are your friend.

If you don't mind a lil risk you can aoe grind mobs. From mem my record was somewhere between 11-14 mobs in one pull; I could usually do 6 pulls per rest safely.

The first few levels are hell, but as soon as you get fireburst... Let the good times roll. Til then buff a melée toon.

I have a small piece of advice. Scorching Ray single blast scrolls cost 14-15gp, also you can buy wand of frost which is cheap dmg output. If you put all your spells into buffs and use those two, you can level pretty effectively.

Keep in mind that non-caster are just as gold dependent to level quickly, rather spending on healing supplies, whereas with a solid range of buffs and some starter gear, your not likely to take alot of damage.

As for healing, I strongly recommend you buy Vigor Potions in the elixir shop, as they are the cheapest source of healing in the UD. They will heal you for about 23hp over time I think, costing about one gp per point healed.
