Background:
Raised by his parents, devout followers of Ilmater in Baldur's Gate, Stan grew up amongst the clergy of Tyr, Torm and Ilmater. He enjoyed the time he spent in the churches with his parents as they volunteered their time to assist the injured and suffering. At the age of 8, Stan was accepted into the Clergy's service much to his parent's enjoyment and spent many years helping the priests of the Triad with their daily duties and learning the ways of each faith. Finding the Tenets and teachings of Torm closest to what he felt in his heart, Stan pledged himself to Torm and applied to enter training as a Cleric of the faith when he was 12.

After six years of hard training and diligent studies of the faith, Stan has graduated from the training program and has been sent into the lands surrounding Baldur's Gate to hone his skills, find his calling from Torm and spread the faith through his words and actions.

Goals:
Stan's goals are simple; to live up to the Tenets and teachings of the Triad and keep the citizens of Baldur's Gate and his parents safe from any threats. He wants to protect and help those he can and bring to justice those who do harm or commit acts of evil.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
Stan cannot say no to anyone in need, so if someone needs help or protection, he will help. If he hears of someone needing help somewhere remote, he will travel there to help in any way he can.

He also believes strongly in the tenets of the Triad and while not particularly zealous about upholding the law, he has a strong desire to see those who hurt others or commit acts of evil brought to justice. He will pursue any evil acts he witnesses and attempt to bring those responsible to justice in any way he can.

Stan is often trying to make the lands a safer place by thinning the local populations of evil creatures like kobolds, lizardmen, bandits, and others with evil intentions and can be found hunting them when not working at the church of Torm or assisting someone in need.
