Background:
A soldier from the coastal village of Tunatown. A true artist with a crossbow, but never afraid of a good melee fight when needed. In his youth, he worked for many a Captain, General, inn keeper, town guard, scoundrel, slave trader, and anyone else who would offer him good pay. It did not matter where the gold came from, as long as it ended up in his pocket. After over a decade of adventuring and collecting, he decided to give it up for a much simpler life. He had seen his share of war. Such experiences can truly change a man, and his outlook towards life. He had learned, truly, that only the strong survive. Many friends had fallen, but Gristle survived. Quite a feat considering his proud, foolish bravery. Even as a sniper, he was never keen on hiding. After all, who can hide while wearing such proud colors as yellow and red? Colors that beg to be noticed. It would seem the men of Tunatown welcome the attention of all they oppose, and do not fear the chance of death. In fact it excites them.
Gristle, now in his 50s, has not felt such excitement for many years. His pockets are almost completely empty, mostly squandered on alcohol, having many memories of long dead friends to drown. A need for adventure and riches must be fullfilled once more. Can this grizzled old man recapture the greatness and wealth of his youth? By any means necessary. Will he let some young upstart get in the way of his plans? Never. More will die if they too are weak, but Gristle, the old sharpshooter, will survive.
Goals:
Wealth, and to see much more battle before his time is finally up. To go out fighting with every possible tool available to him would be Gristle's greatest glory. He'll settle for a long, rich life until then.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
Gristle understands that there are only winners and losers, life and death. He will defend his companions, but to what point? Not even he knows for sure. Make no mistake though, for his yellow armor represents his boldness, not cowardice.
He quickly loses interest in those that aren't looking to help or kill him. He has no time or patience for the useless.
