Running from Candlekeep, Aearion catches up to the refugee train at the entrance to the Sharpteeth. Standing amidst what seems to be two hundered bedraggled dwarves, mostly women and children, he pulls up and announces, "I just heard.... I'm Aearion, Acting Councillor of Doron Amar. We honor our alliance with the Ironfaar and offer what assistance we can in your time of need."

The Slayer Starkad, who seems to be leading the group, replies, "It is appreciated."

Aearion offers the group temporary refuge in Doron Amar and it is quickly and gratefully accepted. He leads them through the woods, along the way asking, "Is it true, is Korgoth... gone?" His question is greeted with silence for a while, some sobs coming from the following dwarves. Finally Starkad simply replies, "Yes."

"A great dwarf has passed," the elf speaks in revered tones for the fallen dwarf leader. "We'll salute him properly." The Slayer responds, "That we will." Meanwhile they continue onward deeper into the woods to the entrance of the elven settlement.

Aearion moves ahead and speaks to the Everskean rangers on guard, warning and instructing them as to the group about to cross the bridge, "The dwarves will be our guests for a while. Yes, all of them. Should anyone ask, send them to me." He turns to the dwarves, instructing them on the basic laws and telling them to keep to the public side of the settlement.

The group trudges up toward the Inn, Aearion pointing out places on the hillside where they might spread out and make encampments. Few remain at the festival area, retelling the story of the fall of Ironfaar Hold in sad tones. Finally, Starkad addresses Aearion, "We'll be on our way as soon as we're able. We thank you for your kindness." Aearion simply responds, "You'd have done the same if our situations were reversed. We are allies, after all."

Starkad and what embittered Slayers are left from the fierce battle, sulk at the fringes of the camp. Most of them are self-sufficient and able enough to leave, having lived in the wilderness for years, yet they feel a strange loyalty to their kin and their allies of Clan Ironfaar. This is a dwarven matter, and they will stay with them for the protection that is needed in these rough times.

"This will be a long war indeed..."
, Starkad says to himself, looking up at the faces of Slayers sharpening their axes with a glowing passion, the deaths of hundreds of dwarves fresh in their minds.

*Rhys walks about the camp, trying to meet as many of the refugees as he can. His condolences can be heard many times before addressing the crowd. *

"It was Ironfaar that was there for us when we needed builders for our home, Doron Amar will extend as much aid to you as we are able. Please move your wounded to the safety and comfort of the inn. The rangers and citizens will help you coordinate the camp. "

The moon elf cleans out the room that she has been renting and staying in for a while so to have it so at least one more room is available for a group of them to pile into.

She fills Mel in on what she knows and has him help her pass the knowledge around to the rangers under him. To those of the Mathora'Tel'Quess she has them take extra shifts; keeping watch for incoming trouble as well as making sure the drunken dwarves don't interfere too much with the citizens of Doron Amar. A thoroughly tired and frazzled Aearion, supported by his wife Alison, looks to Vanira and says, "I've been at this for a half-day, it's your turn. Most of them are passed out, whether from the ordeal or the drinking afterward. By the way, we only have wine left... it seems they don't like wine."

Even as he speaks, Thedran walks up carrying a satchel filled with what seems to be a tonne of small kegs. "Ale, I hope?" Aearion asks, knowing the answer. He just points up to the hillside where the refugees have spread out.

The couple head out of Doron Amar to survey the damage.

Vanira watches the golem pace every now and again as she talks to a few of the dwarves. She shifts uncomfortably each time it moves, trying to hide her discomfort but likely failing in this matter.

Her comfort level continues to lower as a dwarf moves in an attempt to jump off the bridge to end his life. She was very thankful that Loku was there to stop that... there were some language barriers that she knew she lacked any knowledge and talent in getting across, and dwarven was one of those.

The knowledge that he wasn't likely to be the last one to try such a thing sent a shiver through her body. Not everyone had feet that would talk them out of such fates.

With the current crisis that have befallen the dwarves, the Order of the Silver Rose travel to Doron Amar to offer their aid in healing and the Order's assistance in retaking and rebuilding Ironfaar stronghold. They help heal those they can and tend to those whose spirits are sullied.

Several members of the Order of the Radiant Heart are seen in the inn where the wounded dwarves rest. For a full day they tend to the wounded, wrapping and rewrapping wounds while keeping them well fed for a full recuperation. Supplies are then seen being carried to Doron Amar aback other members of the Order, as various potions, bandages, and other provisions are given to the dwarves in their time of need.

althea stays on, hardly sleeping as she hovers over the recovering, offering comforting words, changing bandages, and meeting other less glorious needs such as keeping them clean , nursing as best she can. she does greet the friends of the Order of the Silver Rose, if they say hello, working with them also as if nothing has ever hurt between them. When she too tired to stand , then she goes to rest, but only long enough to keep going. she goes back to working soon as she awakes.

Rhys seems pushed to his limit of stamina after hours of meeting with dwarfs, finding lost loved ones or adding there names to the missing list, and arranging supply's and aid for the refugees.

Starkad stands up and surveys the camp, with milling knights and elves moving through the dwarven ranks, as the weary dwarves sit hollow-eyed on the ground. All his life he has had a contempt for the pointy-ears, and still some resistance stays in him at seeing his kin so at loss, humiliated. He shakes his head, wondering how this ever came to be. A sizeable portion of the dwarven army were at the stronghold that day, but the withdrawal had only just begun and many other dwarves remain in the lands. Surely, they would have heard by now, even though they cannot navigate the secret passages through the forests that leads to Doron Amar. But who would rally them?

He once again looked over the refugees, many of them civilians and of what few warriors they were, several were wounded in varying degrees. "How in da hells did I find myself here...", he murmurs. Scattered, divided and leaderless, hope is getting increasingly harder to hold on to for the refugees...

When the Order of the Silver Rose showed their faces her first gut reaction was to send them away, but she bit her tongue, hard and simply gave them a polite nod. She did how ever make sure they didn't bring any of their questionable friends with them. The last thing anyone needed now was drama.

The elf did her best in aiding those that came to heal. Her talents not at all being in healing wounds but she could help to serve food and fetch the supplies. Her feet complained at first but soon fell quiet as she worked at the tasks given her pausing now and again to hear the reports of the rangers and those in the Mathora'Tel'Quess.

While the after math of wars and battles were not a new sight to her this time her heart ached at their pain. Not because of who they were, not because she knew any of them personally, but to her this was a vision of what was still to come due to the war between Baulder's Gate and Amn. Her blue eyes glanced over to Lance, watching him working with the wounded.

A sudden jolt to her stomach shifted her focus to trying to not have to run off and have to empty her stomach contents in the bushes. Fear gripped it's razor sharp talons into her fiercely. Would history just repeat itself? Were her feet right and Lance would fall and die to the blades of war like her husband, Sunathar, did? They were so much alike and yet he was different in his own ways. A soft snort escaped her as she considered and debated more about the differences between the two with her feet.

Worn out mentally and physically she checked in once more with those she needed to and then made her way to her favorite spot on the river. Removing her boots and most of her clothes she slipped into the water. Swimming till her head cleared and until her body could handle it no longer she slipped out of the water and collapsed on top of a pile of furs under her makeshift lean-to. It didn't take long for the elf to fall into a human sleep... her mind being pulled into the land of dreams.

*During the night druids of the enclave beginn to enter Doron Amar, first a few then more arrive, they start tending to the wounded. As Vanira awakes the following day she finds herself covered by a familiar green cape, some seeds and fruit placed beside her in a bowl. Toshiro is nowhere to be seen.*
