She speaks in a peculiar way sometimes, further showing her detachment from society. She has several things that she despises, Undead, Planar interference on her own, and bards. She makes a distinction between Good and Evil only in that they must remain Balanced. She is just as likely to kill a Bhaalist as she is to kill the paladin threatening that Bhaalist. She thinks the Flaming Fist is largely a joke, simple wardogs at the beck and call of their owner. She knows a great deal about Dragons and seems to have an intimate relationship with a Dragon.

Background: Zoe woke up in the Forest of Wyrms where she quickly became infatuated with the local green dragon population. She wandered the various woods for half a dozen years, staying away from towns and other civilized areas. Her first contact with humans was when she was shapeshifted as a wolf and a hunter happened upon her. She managed to get away from him but as with many other things, she became curious about him. She followed him back to his small village where she then adopted the shape of a domesticated dog and pretended to be a stray for a few months, learning about humans. It wasn't until much later that she was discovered to be a druid, as a travelling wizard asked to take her with him to Baldur's Gate. On the journey, he spoke with her and convinced her to take her natural form.
They conversed over many things, as she quickly became interested in every new topic. It was this wizard who originally taught her of the Balance, the natural order that Good and Evil acts struggle to maintain. He explained that sometimes they need a helping hand...
When they arrived at the Gate, she became frightened at the large city and took leave of her companion. They've not met again since, and they never exchanged names.
She then began hunting the various forests as she had done in the years previous, starting in the outlying farmlands for a few weeks until the farmers started paying for wolf hides, which forced her to broaden her hunting grounds. She eventually came to campfires as a wolf and became a welcomed sight to many, as she was a seemingly docile wolf. One ranger in particular took an interest in her and she followed him through the forests learning a great deal from him. She eventually made herself known to him in her natural form, and he gave her the name Zoe. She refers to him as Stalker, for that was his greatest talent, stealthing through the trees. His real name is Catam, which she learned through other people, but she still refers to him as Stalker.
Zoe became an active hunter of the Tradeway as she became more comfortable in the region, seeking out trolls, wyverns, and eventually Giants. She soon found out that she could take the form of more powerful and even extraplanar beings, altho she still prefers her first form, wolf.
Zoe has assisted the Sword Coast in several ways, such as preventing assassinations, slaying bandits (actual players in this reference) and helping to lead warlocks away from their inevitable fate. Not to mention the countless undead she's butchered. Zoe once befriended a powerful archmage (Zix) who was bent on slaughter and mayhem in his conquest of the Sword Coast. She followed him everywhere he went to keep the Balance. If Zix was slain, she'd drag his body away from the slayers and revive him. If Zix slew anyone, she'd lead him away from the body, circle around and drag the corpse to a temple, and return to Zix's side. The Balance was maintained.
In more recent days, Zoe has obtained a companion of her own, a dragon-suitor. His name is Zalytz, a bronze dragon, and his ever-near presence influences her decisions daily.
Zoe found that the teachings of Talos harmonize best in her, that the structures holding such vast influence on the nearby land (such as cities) were to be destroyed. She often finds herself in a Talos-like rage when she is finally provoked enough to take action, summoning powerful storms and devastating displays of power. She is very rarely provoked, however. Zoe has never taken act against any civilization, as her will to preserve the Balance is much stronger than her distaste of civilization.
Zoe once had a pair of bard-brothers slay Stalker (someone she animalistically considers a master) and Stalker's good friend, a respected Elven magician. She went into a rage and immediately destroyed one of the bard brothers, and pummeled the other one until he ran away, which she gave quite a pursuit (till server reset forced her to stop). Since then she has disliked bardic music.
Goals: Zoe continues to keep vigil over the Sword Coast as events unfold, her overall goal to preserve the Balance. She also serves as a storyteller, and a beacon of dragon lore. She is also a benevolent companion to young adventurers and veterans alike. Those who ask her for help are likely to receive it, altho she often keeps her proficiencies to herself.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: Zoe wears a braided leather collar so her close friends can identify her should they need to.
Zoe has RP'd connections to various dragons through her companion-suitor, Zalytz. She treats him as an equal.
Zoe despises all undead and planar beings with a motive, including angels. She is indifferent to elementals, unless they're controlled. She sees all outsider influences as their own personal ploy and viciously escorts them from her plane. In accordance with the Balance.
Zoe believes the local druids have lost their way, and often refuses to even seek audience with them. The druids verge on being her enemy, as they often promote only Good causes, or purely nature. They are not in accordance with the Balance.
Zoe has a strange acceptance of Nightwalkers. It is unknown to her why she doesn't despise them for being undead, likely something dark from her past that she's unaware of.
