New notices are posted around the major population centers along the Trade Way down the Sword Coast. The neatly printed shortscrolls are posted upon signboards all the way to Beregost. One such notice is also nailed by the door of the Gazette office in the city of Baldur's Gate.
Dearest Denizens of the Sword Coast,
Well again! It is Elycia Innovius, Bardess and Editor of the Baldur's Gate Gazette. Many of you have had the pleasure of reading the Gazette, and have asked me how you might contribute your own journalistic excellence. I here wish to invite your contributions, and outline a few pointers for you, so that your work shall grace the pages of the Gazette most proudly.
~ Contributions of all types are considered, although pieces more journalistic and newsworthy in nature shall be given preference. I encourage potential contributors to discuss personally with me their plans, either in missive to Candlekeep or in person (I am oft found near the Friendly Arm Inn!) so that we can assure that your plans of submission fit within the scope and breadth of the Gazette.
~ Only submissions written in your own words shall be considered! Nay lift work off others and pass it as your own. For collaborative submissions, please be sure to credit all involved.
~ For cases of fact and event, only those written in accuracy and honesty shall be printed. Do as well write from a neutral, third-party perspective, even if you yourself were involved.
~ As Editor, I wish as many outside contributions have the chance at being printed as possible! So I shall edit submitted pieces as needed, to fit within length, content, and polish appropriate for the Gazette! If I simply cannot use something, I shall despair and return it to you. Again, a keen idea to consult with me prior to writing.
I look forward to working with all of you, and I trust that you will enjoy the Baldur's Gate Gazette for issues to come!
Of Milil, the One True Hand of All-Wise Oghma,
Elycia Innovius
((OOC: DMs may reward XP to characters that contribute to the Gazette. XP rewards will be variable upon submission length and quality. ))
