you know what i call a "doctors advice" ? "doctor doctor, it hurts when i move my knee" "well then do not move your knee"Luna wrote:Don't stand to close to someone.testmon wrote:i wonder, is it completely impossible to deactivate attacks of opportunity while ethernal/sancturied? i know there is going into parry mode but that means deactivating other combat modi and makes the whole situation kind of hard in panic situations. also it is kind of pretty strange, sometimes my char does AoO when sancturied, sometimes not.
my use of this spell usually IS when something very undesireable stands close to me
is that something where i can do a thing about? There is a cutscene function that stops a character from making AOE's but it seems to require the char being set to plot. There is also a function that makes characters not cause AOE's.

It's not something a player has access to but it might be something we can tinker with server side. Lot's of things on the list right now though.

i could offer you one, maybe two internets if you'd get that done. to repeat my old tune, some monsters (even the lizzard chief) can just dispel you no matter what, complained about that a lot, but if you get dispelled and then the friggin engine makes your own friggin char too friggin stupid to run away properly it just gets a bitRasael wrote:It's not something a player has access to but it might be something we can tinker with server side. Re: Spell / Scroll / Feat Bugs
A quick and simple fix might be to auto enable parry mode whenever someone uses the Sancutary / Ethereal / Invisibility spells. Won't that solve the problem?
There is no other way to do this that we can explore at the moment. (It would involve too much testing and might not work)

personally i would not use invis ('cause of my loss of ICE then) but that sounds pretty good. also i would offer myself for testing purposes, my programming knowledge is ridiculously limited but all i can do i will help.Rasael wrote:A quick and simple fix might be to auto enable parry mode whenever someone uses the Sancutary / Ethereal / Invisibility spells. Hellspawned Grace doesn't appear to be working.

I can't figure out whats going on. It's like when you push the button to cast the invocation it's just not doing anything at all.c2k wrote:Hellspawned Grace doesn't appear to be working.
I diffed the 2da entry for the spell between ours and Kaedrins, and it's the same.
And even reverted the script back to Kaedrins original.
That didn't fix it.
Let me see if Raesael might have time to investigate?

Re: Spell / Scroll / Feat Bugs
A change in the spell hook might cause this behavior - if it prevents further script execution of the spell - , I can't look at this right now because I have an exam tomorrow and have to cram for it. Were any changes made recently Luna?c2k wrote:Hellspawned Grace doesn't appear to be working.
(This is probably the best point to start looking)

Re: Spell / Scroll / Feat Bugs
Every spell that is from the good domain that has its 'counter-part' in the evil domain should be opposit equivalent:
i.e. heal (10*clevel; max 250) harm (10*clevel; max 250), inflict wounds and cure wounds..
Or not?
i'm reporting because it is not imoplemented so.
thanks

Re: Spell / Scroll / Feat Bugs
heal and harm are 150 max and im pretty sure cure and inflict spells are the exact same dice also, so not sure what you mean
mass heal is 250 in pnp and there is no mass harm that i know of

everyone is evil till proven otherwise

Re: Spell / Scroll / Feat Bugs
I set it to non hostile, 0 and it worked in my test setting. I didn't try it with hostile turned on because I thought that might fix it but I remember the Lowlight spells working with the hostile flag, although they werent personal.Luna wrote:I can't figure out whats going on. So... Either this fixes it or there's perhaps something wrong with the server version of the 2da (it may be corrupt at that line or something?) or perhaps the script is missing from the server itself. (Although I think you'd notice that)
In case of the 2da being weird, what fixes it is usually saving it in the toolset so it's properly formatted and saved.
--> It does have casting visuals yes, so it's probably the hostile flag or a 2da issue.

Re: Spell / Scroll / Feat Bugs
It does still work PH, I tested it on the server but the casting time was reduced to instant. I didn't know that and I think you may have overlooked it yourself and waited instead of sending the message immediately.
There is a window of about 2 to 3 minutes to send the message after casting, maybe a bit more but I'm sure it's no more than 5 minutes maximum.
I tested it with a DM and we both got the message as usual
