History:

"Cedric was born and raised in Luskan, the famous city of cutt-throaths, pirates and Arcane Broherhood. Who his mother or father was he never knew. After being born Cedric was quickly dumped to one of the few local orphanage. After some tough early years in this place he was taken in by a local cleric of Waukeen. Cedric was always with the cleric when he was out bargaining with the local merchants, or doing some other service and quickly adept some of this skills. He started using this skill, whether it was selling some sweets to the other boys on the streets or slipping a poisoned dagger to some mans pocket for coin.

This lasted for some years, until one normal day at the age of 16 he got into an argument with one of his costumers. Things got heated up to the point where a fight satrted with the two. Cedric had never hit anyone, there was never really need for it. After some struggle and shouting, without a second thought, he grabbed a metal bar laying near him and threw a huge blow towards the mans head. Man fell to the ground unconscious and badly wounded, but still Cedric kept beating with the bar rage on his eyes. After some time he stopped, looking what he had done, but he did not regret... He enjoyed it it. The adrenalin, thrill, excitement of Battle it was like a drug Cedric had just got adicted to. That was the point when he heard the call of Tempus. He quickly renew his faith and accepted the faith and ways of The Lord of Battle in a local Temple.

It did not take long when he just left the old cleric without goodbyes and was heading to the closest smith to purchase full armor, helmet and biggest weapon he could get, which was a big mace. All his saving went into this gear and was left pennyless. He then got recruited to a local merchant vessel as a guard where he trained and lived with other mercenaries and adepted their way of live. He still used his hagling skills to bargaing better prices for his little contracts of own or for a bottle or keg of mead to the crewmen. This lasted for years and Cedric got better with his weapon and achieved higher position within the vessel, becoming one of the most trusted crewmen.

However, a long lasted contract with the merchant ended when he died suddenly to a very high fewer. Cedric and his band was left unemployed and quickly after that fell apart. Cedric wandered the North with some of the crewmen, but they never returned to Luskan. Even after living most of their lifes there. Not a moment came when they'd want to go back to this rathole. Soon they also decided to go seperate ways all in the opposite directions. Cedric ,after some petty jobs, found himself at the Gates of Baldur's Gate."

Recent events:

Cedric has been doing some escorts and normal adventuring around Baldur's Gate. Right now, he just lives some quiet life doing what he does best. However he has been considering joining one of the Mercenary groups of the Coast. Or maybe starting one of his own.

(OOC: I've little time to play. Probably ones or twice a week, if even that :/.
Also if you have a job for Cedric send him a tell IG and we can talk about it :) )

Depth's of the Tower
*Cedric opens his journal in a one of the rooms of Elfsong tavern. He then lifts a pen and starts writing with a constat grin on his face. He rips of couple pages and starts over couple of times really tempered.*

"... Tuk or whatever the damn gnome is and some half-elf named Seadin planned a trip to the infamous Durlags Tower. Why I joined the group with only a promise of some loot is beyond me. I've done that very few times and it always fail... Damn things didn't work this time either. We got pass the beasts of the place with ease until a puny drow pops up. The damn thing was some sort of mage fighter something. Whatever it was the bastard was so quick that it throw me to the ground in seconds... Something that happens even more rarely.

After we got up with Seadin we realised that the gnome was gone. We figured that the drow had taken him to the underdark and ran to Baldur's Gate to gather a rescue party. Rescue party! To hells with some stupid gnome... All I wanted was to bleed that damn drow dry!

We got some people and headed back the to depths with haste. We did in fact find the portal to the underdark... Why I step in it was something out of this world. Five or so steps into the dark full of drow and what not? That's just plain mad!

On the other side we ended up to some temple. It was full some sort of lizards and burning or melting golems. I almost burned alive there! I was so upset about the cursed place and just wanted to smash something. We found some stupid puny weaver there, but I wasn't paying attention. Good thing I didn't just hit the guy!

After some heavy battle I got into my senses and got the hells out of that place. What ever happens to the others I don't care. I do hope they won't catch the drow, because here I promise to beat and kill that damn thing slowly before I take my last breath in this plane!! Did this make my god proud!!! No it doesn't gods damnit!!"

*after this words Cedric throws the journal and pen to the corner and smahes the table with a one mighty blow and kicks the parts some time before he cools down again. He then finishes his drink with a one big swig and goes to bed...*

*Cedric sits down in his rented room and pulls a journal from his bag. He then takes a pen and starts writing some notes.*

"...This week I have switched to a different fighting technic with my weapon. I ones witnessed most ruthless and strongest Half-Orc figters using their warmace or large axe with a shield with great effectiveness. Moves are similar to fighting with two hands, but only with some more and really wanted protection. Of course I can't hit as hard and accurately as before... That's a physical fact, but I'm more than strong and skilled enough now to use this. After all the weapon is almost completely depended on my right arm..."

*He then puts his journal back to his bag and heads down the strair for a some quality time with a smiles on his face*

Mighty foe
*Cedric once again opens his journal and starts writing some notes with a big smile on his face. It's certain he's particualry satisfied*

"...Today my skills were tested to the fullest. I was having a fight with some of the Hill Giants when I found myself strolling up the mountain to the top. I don't why exactly I did this... I've only been on the mountain with a bigger group, going there alone is something many consider certain suicide. After all the area is inhabited by the fearsome Frost Giants. Mighty foes something any warrior would want a dual with and with succesful result... Maybe this was a sign that this is what I must do. Maybe some kind of test?

I was almost able to see the towers of the Giants keep when finally a truly big, wide and freezing giant steped on my way, waving it's huge battle axe cutting through the cold air. I looked the creature to the eyes and it chuckled at me with a wide grin on it's face. I without a second thought roared loudly at it and charged with all the might I have and hit it straight to the knee.Taken by suprise It fell down screaming with pain and tried to hit me with it's arm and axe. I dodge and blocked all it's blows and Through a mighty blow straight against it's head. My mace did a utterly horrid job and it body fell on the snow dead. I took a deep breath and smiled at the sight of the giant. I won.

I headed down the mountain side thinking my acomplishment. I passed the test. This, if nothing, does honor to the lord of battles..."

*Cedric puts down his pen and looks through the window while smoking a fine pipeweed. He sits there for hours thinking the day he wrote about with a smile on his face.*
