~She enjoys the charge like nothing else, often trying to rally her company with chanting, battlecries and banging of weapons to a rythym.

~She is tall for her kind, and therefore assumes she is tall by anyone's standards. This results in confusion when others comment her small stature.

Background: Ara was raised in a small clanhold in the Sword Mountains called Glorigirn, but she was rendered clanless on the cusp of adulthood when the hold was finally sacked by Black Claw orcs in a particularly long and bitter siege. Forced to mature quickly and determined not to forsake her home, she spent the next eight years helping to gather fellow refugees and Wanderers together in a guerilla campaign against the orcs. This band had some notable successes with the varied tactics and fighting styles adopted by its members. It was eventually undone however, not by the orcs but torn apart by bickering among its leaders (of which she was not one). She became disenchanted with some aspects of dwarven tradition as a result, but she also became conscious that the plight of the Shield Dwarves transcended the Sword Mountains and was more determined than ever to reverse this trend. Hearing of the fall of the Ironfaar Clanhold to the south, she traveled that way in search of fellow Wanderers.

Goals:
~Meet others of her kind. She believes it is the duty of all Shield Dwarves to rally together, join clans and reverse the decline of the race.

~Kill orcs and other enemies of her race. She shall never forget the attrocities of the Black Claw.

~Preserve and record the ways of her people, old and new.
