Background: Born in the city of Mezro, his father a sailor from Murann and mother a local, Alec was always a wandering child. The way Alec was concieved is a total mystery, as Mezro is still behind the magical wall of Ubtao, and so far his mother has not told him the story of how he came to be.
He would often see creatures and beings that the others would not see, and commune with things that to others seemed inanimate. Alec would often spend hours just sitting in a solemn natural place, talking and listening to spirits, neutral, good and evil. Although the evil spirits we're extremely scary, he learned to avoid them eventually and rather seek the wisdom of the neutral and good ones.
His childhood was a happy one, although his mother was alone with him. He found father figures in the spirits, and grew taking in their wisdom rather than being schooled or taking up a proper profession.
As he grew he felt in his heart a will to wander, to adventure. To commune with more spirits, to spread the wisdom of his tribe and their people to other cultures. To experience the all of Faerun, as there had to be something other than certain death behind the walls of Mezro. At the age of 18 with the guidance of his Wolf Spirit Companion he found a small hole on the wall, which was up just long enough for him to enter through, as if by the will of Ubtao himself. As he was out he realized he hadn't said proper goodbyes to his tribe and would be deemed missing.. But now it was too late. If he tried to enter through it, he would face a loop of endless confusion and would likely meet his demise.
He started a trip away from the island by the guidance of his spirit companion, he offered his help as a healer to get from Port Castigliar to Calimport. From Calimport he began his journey.. And now, five years later, he's in Baldur's Gate..
Goals: To seek adventure, to gather wisdom and share it. To commune with as much spirits as possible, and to aid those in need of aid with all the means he has.

During his travels he has developed a bad habit of smoking herbs in a pipe. It's not like he can't quit, it's just he doesn't want to.
All evil spirits make him want to vomit his guts out, and he uses his powers on pursuing evil spirits with utmost aggression.
