Operation Hin Are Kin! February 26, 2012
Players involved:
Arery Wrin
Ridma Arabilylth
Throg Gruuman
Catam D'argent
Raj
Synopsis:
Outside streaked glints of silver as the wind howled on another cold, dark night atop the library fortress of Candlekeep. Thousands of light feet drizzled their rhythm upon the area, dancing with the music of the storm as a little halfling named Yleana whispers her story to the nurse.
"It came from the beach... a beast, The Beast. It was not you average bear, oh no... bears are not this vicious, this savage. We had asked that cute guard Ricktus to accompany us but they had him busy with the repairs to the Littlefinger's roof, and if he had come with us... oh, no doubt his bravery would have led Urogalan to his beautiful soul."
She yips in a small sob, and uses the end of her sleeve to wipe sadly at her eyes.
"When it came... Papa Tunic just told me to run. Run! But it was so fast!"
Yleana breaks into hysterical sobbing then, and it is all the nurse could do to restore her to order. Thankfully, none of her other patients awoke, and with a quiver on her lip, the little halfling managed to find the strength to continue to tell her tale.
"We ran... side by side... my papa was the fastest hin back in his day and everyone said I got those legs... but it was not enough. We got to the cliffs, but it just strode up the side and cought up to us! I saw papa turn around and the look in his eyes... I knew I was going to die. But I didn't. He jumped right at it behind me, just when the claws found my body. All I could do was cry and and crawl away, the fear of death behind me... and when I couldn't walk anymore... I saw black!"
The little halfling's eyes open wide as vivid memories flash into her eyes, and the scrunch up once again in pain as she is forced to relive them.
"When I woke up I was surrounded by a bunch of orcs... well, that nice tall fellow who wears a skullcap under his hood told me they weren't trying to eat me. But where was papa Tunic? Why didn't he come back? They left to find him, and the nice err half-orc named Raj took me here like you saw... and then I woke up later and my kin told me he was going to be fine? But where is he? Why hasn't he come yet? He'll be so worried about me!"
The little halfling begins to cry once again before the nurse hears a whistle, and finally gives her her chamomile tea. Weary and sleepy from the emotions in her head and the soothing qualities of her drink, she eventually drifts off in a quiet but fitful sleep.
Rewards:
- Exp to Arery, Ridma, Raj, and Throg
- Catam got nothing. In fact, he lost gp!
- Alignment shifts which I honestly don't keep track of anymore.

Synopsis:
In the dark of night a lone figure clad in crimson robes brazenly wandered through the Troll Claw Hills, conceivably her confidence was bolstered by the fact one of the behemoth Stone Giant acted the part of an unwilling bodyguard. Heavily warded the dominated brute swatted aside its own brethren with unsettling ease that would leave a haunting scar in its conscious mind for the remainder of its days (short lived as that proved to be) – allowing the capable wizardess to enjoy a reprieve from exerting her own magical prowess in combat.
Or so she thought. A giant, no larger than any other giant, had her hard pressed. With immensely powerful blows it brought her back on her heels, draining every last offensive spell in her repertoire and inflicting considerable damage to her bodyguard, even having to resort to the desperate use of scrolls and charges of other items to defeat the formidable opponent in an exhaustive display of magical energies that left the woman completely drained.
Inexorable drawn towards a pocket item, exuding unmistakable signs of arcane power – she, against her better judgement, decided to don the magical item after much internal deliberation. Instantly feeling the sentient being prodding in her mind with a promise of her deepest desire, the real struggle had only just begun.

The heroes pushed against the waves, slaying all in their paths and leaving nothing but bones behind them. Upon reaching the end of the mine they discovered a portal. After a quick debate , evryone jumped in. For better or worse they would find out what was on the other side.
They arrived on a dusty plain , a dark sky with no stars watching over them. And watching is accurate as they felt the eyes of the Alhoon upon them. They adventurers faced more minions , some with unbreakable strenght and will, others with faltering courage . But they still managed to hold togheter and drive on.
Tucked against a dark mountain , they came upon stange sands and bone rings. An cancient puzzle that could get them back home perhaps . But , before they could investigate closer , a ten foot high flaming skelletton rose from the sands and held it's ground in the midle of the bone rings.
A battle to shook the planes followed as the heroes fought for their lives and managed to bring the great experimental undead to it's knees , ending it's miserable career as Alhoon's lab rat. They then smashed the rings hoping to avoid a similar faith and when the smoke cleared revealing a portal they all jumped eagerly in to escape the undead plannar pocket.

Synopsis:

So much so that other people left, seeing so many applicants. Mostly, they travelled East. They did not follow the typical Trade Route and they travelled at night. As they passed by a graveyard, they noticed a broken down wagon blocking the path. And then bodies, freshly bloodied inside the graveyard (Though they did of course, loot the the crates for anything useful first.)
Black, black clouds appeared and tried to cut them off, and inside those black clouds shadows spawned. After much fighting, their combined might easily beat the newly-liched lich and then, terrified (the traders at least) they finally made a break for it on the wagons. They reached Soubar as expected, got paid a trifle amount, and were kicked back to Baldur's Gate on a wagon travelling the typical route.

Sabotage March 22, 2012
Players involved:
Ylleri
Kaltyra Greyfang
Malchor Arronax
Edgar Keld
Ulfrik
Grum Silveraxe
Istar Randir
Vino Cain
Krumarth Sorth
Emrys Kerr
Lillith Azrael
Bunch of people who walked in and out and or did not say enough for me to determine whether or not they were there.
Synopsis:
Yet another normal caravan travelling up the Trade Way. Cultists trying to test the Friendly Arm Inn's defenses and wards.
Ulfrik and Malchor were wondering why the caravan was unloading boxes on the walls of the Friendly Arm Inn while Ylleri sat and observed. The driver bluffed them out by saying something along the lines of, "Where else am I supposed to unload building material? Hey, unless you're a qualified builder, I don't suggest you touch the stuff." And then he took off with his wagon in tow.
Ulfrik and Malchor left, not caring about building materials. Ylleri just stood there watching the boxes, and then was witness to a delayed fireball blast forming. As she watched on helplessly, it exploded. The walls stood, but there was a large fire forming. She went and got help, and several adventurers and tree huggers went and extinguished the flames. Kaltyra Greyfang did the majority of work, with a storm of vengeance.
The Flaming Fist Battlecaster who arrived on the scene moments later grudgingly gave her a coinpurse worth 2000 coppers.
The tree huggers stayed near the explosion site and did silly things like asking every single blade of grass and tree what happened, but seeing as they are grass and trees, they had no idea. So most of them just gave a wooden stare. Or a leafy stare.
A couple of adventurers went and sought for the wagon, but failed to track it down as they were just checking for wagon trails. Seeing as they never looked beyond the Trade Way, they could not distinguish the trails they wanted from all the other ones that were on the road. At some point, Edgar Keld found the wagon they were looking for, but it had long been abandoned because he found the trail too late.

Catapaults March 24, 2012
Players involved:
Lore Jensen
Olaf Ribsmasher
Synopsis:
Eric Apsalar had shoddily built a catapault in secret in the early morning with help from his brother, Jonas. The two fourteen-year-olds then invited the girl about their age they were trying to impress, Pia Tennant, to come watch their glorious triumph over the monstrosities of the Cloakwoods. Launching from behind a hill just north of the Friendly Arm Inn, they began to fire towards the direction of the Cloakwoods.
Because of the improperly built nature of the thing, it fired short half the time. Olaf Ribsmasher was about to take a seat, when out of nowhere he is flakked by debris from a catapault volley landing just a few feet behind him. He falls out of his chair and hurts himself. Lore, the only other visitor, gets annoyed that the Friendly Arm Inn would dare fire at them. Were the Fist practicing or something? They've certainly done it before. They enter the Cloakwoods to find out what they were shooting at, since most of the shots seem to be sailing in that direction.
Nothing. Aside from luckily hitting a few random giant beetles, the Cloakwood was being put under siege for no reason. The catapault volley kept up regardless with Lore and Olaf still in it, Lore maintaining his monk-trained calm, confident in his faith to keep him from getting harmed. Olaf got pelted once. He did point out that the catapaults seemed to be getting launched from the north, not actually the inn itself, and the two went to investigate.
They found the two boys, and the girl who is just about the edgiest teenager you could find. If she were living in the future, she would be wearing black eyeliner, black lipstick, dyed her hair raven-black, called herself raven, and have had a soul that was fuligin, also known as the color that is darker than black.[*] Lore didn't like her, nor she him. But she didn't like anyone or anything as her darkness would be compromised otherwise, and Lore clearly didn't like children. After much scolding, Lore demonstrated to the defiant and self-proclaimed genius Eric that his catapault was actually terrible, and that he can either choose to be turned into his father, destroy the catapault, or move the thing closer to the Cloakwoods.
Moving it to the Cloakwoods was impossible, because the catapault was fixed. So Lore thought it was time to drag them off to pappy. Pia had just about enough of this, and left. Lore, not sharing the boy's infactuation with the girl and completely at his wit's end on how to deal with kids, ordered Olaf to grab her when she defied his order to stay. The reluctant and barely older Olaf did so, and when he refused to let go as per her orders, she let out a banshee-like wail which drove Lore to the brink of madness as he screamed for Olaf to just let him go.
Lore puts a finger in his ear. "Bloody hells just let the harpy go!"
"But you said?"
"WHATEVER!"
She ran off to home. The wail did attract the attention of the currently patrolling Champion Sunny, who looked at the catapault and, while maintaining his pleasantries (and his blindingly-bright smile), nevertheless ordered the catapault dismantled. They tried to offer it to the Fist, but he did not see the point of having a catapault that was pointed at the inn, so they asked him for help to dismantle it, and the three men and two boys spent the majority of the night ripping it down into timber.
Lore and Olaf then decided to escort the two boys home. The boys begged them not to tell their father, who would beat them, and despite Lore's previous displeasement of the boys, he nevertheless agreed not to. They brought them home to the quietly severe Mister Apsalar, who let it know he was displeased with their lateness. Olaf covered that he and Lore had to save them from angry lizardmen, and seeing their opportunity, the boys agreed, Eric reluctantly calling them 'heroes' (He made it known beforehand that he thought Lore was just an old man who amusingly thinks he can take on a deadly lizardman).
The father was unspokenly grateful, and offered them flags of their deities. He'd never heard of Istishia, so Olaf did not get one. Still, before they were quietly asked to leave, Lore mentioned that he should probably send the boys to Candlekeep, recognizing the fact that building a catapault is actually quite a mindful achievement. The father shook his head, mentioning that such a venture would cost him 10 gold (1000gp) each, and there is no way he can afford to spend that much. Olaf, in a fit of impromptu generosity, took out twenty gold and offered it to the man. Mister Apsalar was shocked into further silence by the goodly act from a random stranger, and, being much more grateful and honest now, he introduced himself to the two as Bill. Bill Aspalar. If they ever needed anything, clothes done and whatnot, he was their man.
Lore was worried about Pia, but he will check on her family later. He mentioned to Bill that he would be visiting the boys in Candlekeep one day, and the two of them left.

Visiting Roaringshore March 28, 2012
Players involved:
Gyvari Lominaru
Rastin Krysknife
Celestia
Ylleri
Synopsis:
Celestia, unwise crazy wizardess that she is, is bored. She asks Knives if she was bored as well. They agreed. After not coming up to a decision where they want to go, Celestia suggested Roaringshore. Because it's fun. Eventually, a man named Rastin and another elf name Gyvari joined in on the conversation, and agreed that they too would come. Knives reasoning was probably that she was bored, and she might learn something. She was not quite looking forward to having her ears cut off again, and so suggested that since most of them were elves, they should wear solid hoods to hide their ears.
They found a couple of pirates beached, drunk, and singing campfire songs. Rastin for whatever reason decided not to talk to them, and immediately started blasting them with very powerful offensive spells. The pirates managed to put up a small fight, but considering half of them were passed out to begin with, it wasn't good for them. Ylleri suggested they steal their clothes as disguises, as they had not found hoods yet.
Using the remains of the pirates clothing, Knives came dressed as a scalleywag pirate. Celestia decided to look like an... escort woman. Or a female warlock. It's difficult to tell these days. Gyvari dressed like a different version of himself, and Rastin didn't bother with the disguises at all, being mostly human. He came dressed as Rastin.
They did their best to try to blend in. Celestia was making a terrible job of it. When she got drunk, she got even worse, though luckily few ships were in dock at the time and a lot of the pirates were passing the time elsewhere. Ylleri explored around the shore while the other three were busy blending into the local scenery (though Celestia continued to stand out as much as a person wearing her outfit would stand out), but Ylleri could not find what she was looking for. Eventually she returned to hercompanions mates. Trying to figure out what else they can learn from being on the Shore, their thoughts were inturrupted by a rowdy crowd down below. Ylleri decided to check it out.
She saw a bunch of pirates participating in a brawl, and after watching one match, the newcomer was told to bring it. Ylleri brought it, and after taking a punch to the cheek, she floored her challenger, who limped away after crying she yielded. One of the pirates was impressed with her prowess, but felt he could take her on. He wanted to make it interesting, and bet a wager. Ylleri accepted one last fight, and while he hit her more than the first pirate did, he went down even faster. In the end as he was crying yield, Ylleri tripped the man, and he broke his neck.
Stunned silence followed. Then one of the drunk dwarves shrugged, downed his drink, and mentioned "The man was an arse anyway." Ylleri was entitled to whatever he had on him, and she took his gold and weapon.
Eventually she returned, a bit bruised but still generally fine. After learning that the current captain of the Hellstorm Crew was currently sitting in a Fist jail cell, they left, at least learning something they wanted to hear. They took a large amount of unnecessary risk, but they were alive, they supposed. And with their ears still intact. Luckily the drunk Celestia was told by Rastin to not attempt to cause trouble in the bar, for if she thought she could have defended herself with magic well... she would have been in for an unpleasant surprise.

Players involved:
Elenwe Estelda
Emrys Kerr
Tamara
Synopsis:
Two acolytes serving in the Infirmary of Candlekeep watch over one of their patients, a young girl by the name of Tamara who has been plagued by nightmares ever since her arrival. Deciding that further investigation into the cause is needed, the elven nurse Elenwe enters a communion with the sleeping girl. Surprisingly easily she pushes past the already tattered mental blockades and enters the dreamlike state.
Once in however, she discovers that unlike getting in, this dream might not be so easy to escape from. Enshrouded in the blackest of darkness, so thick it’s palpable in the air; she determinately marches towards the pained sobs of an all too familiar little girl. The nightmare being played out vividly, as the shadows of the past haunts the young girl possessively, refusing to relinquish the foothold in the young girls mind. A futile battle ensues, fast waning to the advantage of the indomitable shadows of the young girls mind, despite the brave Elenwe's attempts.
Back in the realms of the waking, Emrys saves his fellow acolyte from being consumed by the ravenous nightmare, severing the corporeal and mental connection between the two sleeping individuals. Undoubtedly saving Elenwe’s life and stopping the communion before it wrought any lasting harm to either of the two sleepers.
The shadows however, still linger… but don’t worry… they’re just a dream... Right?

Synopsis:
The group of adventurers were on their quest to provide Candlekeep with its excellent source of book bindings (troll hides) when they hear a huge quake coming from the direction of the troll caves. With singleminded zeal brought on by people intent to finish their task at hand, they promptly ignored it. ...And then stopped ignoring it, when they realized the trolls were no longer out and about frolicking in the wilds.
They quickly found the source of the problem. A landslide had plugged the hole to the cave, effectively cutting those trolls off from the outside world. The group did a strange thing then (though with adventurers who knows what is perfectly normal these days?) and then went to sleep. Perhaps hoping the trolls will have made progress by the next day to unplug themselves? Seeing as the trolls were still stuck however, the wizardful party did the next logical thing to come to an adventurers mind and then went to sleep, again.
This did nothing for the troll situation though, so after hearing battles roaring inside the caverns for two days by the time they awoke, there was no more noises coming from within. So perhaps frustrated with their inability to work for the glory of Candlekeep's troll hide business (and that 2500 coin!) they finally decided to take direct action against the offending rocks.
Zullo acted first, using his bigby hands to crush the larger rocks into more manageable pieces. Then everyone sort of dug. By their powers combined, the rocks eventually became dug through. They entered the caves.
Evidence of battle were found here and there, troll blood was collected, but no trolls were found. Instead, there were several traps noticed along the way and the group decided to press on, curious of what could possibly have done whatever they've done to the trolls. Deeper in the caves they went, and then they saw them - duergars, an entire platoon.
The deep dwarves did not notice the party as they marched on deeper into the cave, and did battle with a feeble troll resistence. Unfortunately a party of mages also means a party of christmas trees so when the duergars were finished with the trolls, they instantly spotted the party and came a runnin'! The group dispatched of the platoon easily enough, and went further into the direction the duergars were travelling.
There they found a sizeable amount of trolls trying to hide, and they tried diplomacy. It did not work very well, as no one spoke giant. Instead, they communicated in common, very badly. Because trolls don't really speak common all that great. They learned then that the source of the trolls problems were illithids, trying to herd the trolls for something? Because of the language barrier though, they did not get much out of the trolls and since the trolls didn't want trouble at the moment, they decided to investigate the other side of the cave for the mind eaters the trolls were so fearful of.
They came across a portal, and several illithids. And a new platoon of duergar escaping out of the portal. Ulfrik, Zullo and Jynx fell in the ensuing battle, although in the end the group prevailed against the illithids, Mila herself coming out of the shadows to slay one trying to flee back into the portal. Before anyone coul examine it closely however, whoever was operating the magic sensed the disturbance on the other side and promptly shut it down. After restoring consciousness to the trio who fell (though not before Cergos constantly belittled the unconscious Zullo), the trolls themselves came out of their hiding to investigate.
Seeing that their worst nightmares defeated, their heroes beaten badly and seeing as there was a lot of them, they came to the only conclusion trolls could come to in that situation. They attacked the group.
Unfortunately for them the adventurers, despite their strange custom of sleeping before doing anything, were in fact true to the title of adventurers and even in their weakened states were still more than a match for a large mosh of trolls. Seeing their leader with the funny flag defeated (Ulfrik took it as his trophy), the rest of the trolls stopped attacking for awhile to give the group a wide birth. The group left, although Ishtar stayed to try to scry the portal's source. He saw vaguely what might have been caverns just below the surface, but a huge power mentally slammed his scrying eyes shut before he could glean anymore information.
Zullo came back later to investigate under the guise of invisibility.

Digging April 16th, 2012
Players involved:
Alistair de Lioncourt
Morticia
Vicala
Tamina Lightstep
Calithe Nezara
Krisaga
Special Guest Appearance by Vex
Help with event by DM NILBOG
Synopsis:
With the map in Morticia's possession, the two surviving members of the Hellstorm Crew (Not counting Michael Thess-somethingorother who had disappeared, Vex who was buying a ship to Luskan, and the rest of the unimportant NPC pirates on their ship) Tamina Lightstep and Morticia were in a discussion. Whether or not to bring back the Crew, or return them as undead servants. There were pros and cons to each, but ultimately it was decided that they should bicker about that later, and set off to actually finding the bodies first, the location of which was given to by a very kind blue-eyed individual in meetings past.
Making their way to a cave detailed on the map as where they needed to go after crossing the Fields of the Dead, the two women continued to argue. This seemed to be normal routine to the two, however in Tamina's overconfidence after replying to Morticia that she never misses a trap, a few seconds later she steps right into a trap. She was a bit more careful after that.
The two eventually ran into a small goblin army, as was detailed on the map that they could have expected that potential hazard. Again, the two despite the bickering seemed to work well together, or about as well as two people who don't like each other but are too busy to kill each other as they are currently surrounded by a small goblin army. Wandering deeper in the cave, they come across some gray ooze that Tamina kept splitting up with her blades until Morticia told her to just use something blunt, and so Tamina used her fists. And feet. After that, it was just a straight travel through the rest of the cave, through a small field and they found the secret graveyard, no more problems.
Morticia continued to insist they do not bring back Krisaga, or at least let her turn her into an undead. Tamina, very good friends with Krisaga continued to decline politely. With only one raise dead scroll between them, they decided to do the sensible thing and revive the religious one first, Calithe Nezara. The woman was indeed raised, though she did not seem to like the aftertaste of death in her mouth. Nor was she a fan of the fact that all her gear was stripped from her. Regardless, she went to work reviving the rest of the crew who faced similar predicaments. Much to Morticia's displeasure, Krisaga was brought back more or less intact.
They could not bicker about in the graveyard for long however, as the Flaming Fist, bells a' tollin' were coming up around to patrol. Morticia, being far more interested in undead things and not about Gates decided not to Gate the crew home, but instead turn everyone ethereal and haste out of there. The battlecasters heard the commotion and began to cast true seeing on the everyone, but the group had ran away long before they could be seen.
Back inside the cave, the crew felt they were safe as they heard the marching pass them on. They began to make their way out, except for Alistair and Vicala. Vicala was too busy staring at a giant mushroom, poking it, hugging it, being fascinated by it, while Alistair was busy trying to get her to prioritize. Everyone doubled back for the two of them, and Vicala refused to leave without one of the mushrooms (although they were all rather huge.) She hugged one of the smaller ones, and, straining, managed to yank it out of the ground. Vicala then proceeded to continue to hug onto the mushroom the rest of the trip, cooing and cradling it like a baby.
The group were then beset upon by a gelatinous cube, and using some sort of tactics involving Tamina running about like a chicken they eventually melted it down, and looted what were its remains. Calithe found a giant sword that Alistair commeted on looked more like a giant comb. She liked it though, despite being completely unwieldy for her.
The crew then came across what looked like a duo of adventurers. They asked who the Crew were, and Morticia responded with something along the lines of, "Your death." Naturally, the adventurers did not take kindly to her threat, and attacked. The crew might have won too, if they were looking out for the rogue. Who proceeded to eliminate the greatest threat that was Morticia from stealth, as the rest of the crew were either naked or Tamina, who was busy dealing with the crossbowman. The rogue took out everyone, one by one, and then proceeded to loot the crew of their valuables. They did not bother finishing them off. Calithe lost her comb sword, and the rogue stole the really nice boots they found earlier. Morticia should have probably remembered that their numbers did not count for much, as most of their number was naked and likely still close to death at the time.
Annoyed, tired, mostly dead, and frustrated was the general mood when they finally made it back to Roaringshore. Except for Vicala and Alistair, who were happy for the most part, Vicala moreso accompanied by her giant mushroom.
Meanwhile, Vex was on different ship.

Players involved:

Vicala
Tamina Lightstep
Krisaga
Fer Bora
Vex
Irini Valkyrian
Clair Aer'thur
Guest-Starring: Kaedis Valar
Synopsis:
Sitting about drinking tea and eating crumpets with Clair and Fer Bora (side-note: not really), Tamina Lightstep managed to find an old sight stumble into the tavern. Why, it was none other than One Eyed Swanson, returned in his drunken glory! He didn't seem happy to see her however, and promptly staggered out of there. Tamina, having spotted the man, promptly briskly sprung out of the Broken Goblet and went out looking for him, the two crewmembers in tow.
Diplomacy didn't really help them when it came to Roaringshore's citizens but they found him eventually hiding in a pile of crates. More of the crew joined up by the time they found Swanson, and he didn't seem to be very happy to see the rest of the crew. Indeed, with talks of how they are going to get information out of him, he wasn't much looking forward to talking with them at all. Still, they went to the Goblet to have a little chat, where they were joined by more of the crew. Eventually, they agreed to speak on the ship, Swanson's promise of treasure still enough to keep him safe from the frankly disturbing minds of the pirates.
After meeting with the new Captain on board, after a small warning the crew immediately set sail towards the island. They did not need provisions, it seemed to be only a half a day's journey after all.
Eventually they reached the spot on the map where Swanson said they should probably all get below decks. Most people did . . . except Vicala was dawdling. She wanted to see what was up. Why they needed to go below decks. Unfortunately for her, she became cought up in the mind fog and then got fascinated by the mermaids singing. Because the captain had yet gone below trying fruitlessly to convince Vicala to go down, the others went above deck as well. Every single one of them was unable to resist either. While Irini and Alistair tried to wrestle them all back down, the mermaid's singing finished, and they swarmed.
In the end, they lost several crew members, including the officer on deck, the steersman, the boatman, two crossbow pirates, and even One-Eyed Swanson. Many had been stolen off the very ship itself, drown in the bottom of the sea by the vicious sirens. Alistair fended off a large amount of the attacks by himself, almost being dragged away were it not for his crew slaying the mermaids trying to take him.
With their ship's sails torn to pieces, half the crew dead, and Birk still alive, the Sea Wolf was floating dead in the water. Will the Hellstorm Crew fix their sails in time? Will they turn tail and flee back to Roaringshore? Will Vicala find another giant mushroom? Stay tuned for part 2!
P.S.
Vex never went above deck. It is probably because he is so clever he'll cut himself.

My ship plowed through the storm.
Looking into the waves, I grew dizzy,
for I glimpsed the chasm between myself & the infinite.
Yacht life.
