DM Steel's Events.

This thread will be to summarize my events and to specify a few guidelines I'd like everyone to bare in mind:

Participants should take the following into consideration:

1. RP is the name of the game.

2. Please keep OOC chat and comments to myself and participants to 'tells'.

3. Any suggestions or disagreements (with me or another player) you may have, save them for when the event is over. I am always open to hear them. Just unable to concentrate on everything at once. I will make time following every event for comments, suggestions, feedback, etc. Breaking immersion makes the experience less for all involved.

4. Do not stray too far from the party. Forces the DM to constantly keep track and jump around the map. And quality suffers.

5. Always respect those who participate in the event. I am a firm believer in the concept of synergy and group dynamics. It can really enliven rp and make a better experience for everyone. If a player disrespects another player in an OCC manner or violates server rules, they will be asked to leave the event.

6. If you have an idea for a plot, event etc feel free to contact me. If the idea is brief in explanation; feel free to IM me ([email protected]). If you wish to send an indepth explanation, please do so via PM.

I am looking foward to contributing more to the community and hosting events for you all. I have alot to learn, so please be patient.

A Cold Hearted Soul Rules the Night: Part 1.

A Hin named Bondo BanderBrook came upon a young and frail looking little girl in the City of Baldurs Gate. The little girl, named Jaedin, was crying profusely until Mr. B, as she came to call him, showed her a kindness others did not.

They wondered to the Merchant Camp seeking her "Mommy" and she complained of not being allowed to see Daddy and Mr. Bones, her only friend.

Daddy was always kissing mommy real hard on the neck in their house North of the Farmlands beyond the Fist position.

The child sobbed and sobbed until others joined the group searching the River Bank for signs of Mommy. Tracks led into the river, two sets.

It was soon learned that Mr. Bones was a skeleton warrior, the childs guardian and she cried and cried when the adventurers slew him.

Then..Daddy showed up. A Death Knight, screaming the child was his. The Brave adventurers slew the Knight, barely...two of them falling dead but were later revived with a wiggle of the childs finger...though no one noticed the use of her power.

As the Knight disintegrated, he moaned how he had failed and would return again.

As the night calmed, the adventurers could not find the girls mother and asked her if she had any family in the city.

She said she just had Mommy and Daddy...'Mommy' turned out to be a Mummy. The childs evil ways masked in words of deviation and a face of sweet pallid innocence.

As the adventurers looked upon the pallid child her skin whitend, her eyes reddend, and she spoke in a voice both ancient and evil...cackling a shrill whisper of laugh...speaking of more games to come. Then she dissappeared in a ball of red light.

The light rose into the sky and flew towards the Fields of the Dead....dissappearing into the black of night.

A Cold Hearted Soul Rules the Night: Part 2.

The young human girl known as Jaedin appeared once again the Farmlands outside of Baldurs Gate.

The girl was seen by a Genasi exiting a Portal that thrumed and hummed so loud it was heard for miles around.

Adventurers came from far and wide to see this curious young girl; at first she seemed sweet and innocent.

Soon the adventurers grew impatient with the simple banter of a Child...and begun to demand answers as to the Portal she was seen walking out of.

Mr. B showed up (Bondo) showed up and Jaedin gave him a huge hug and her scary feelings washed away and seeing her savior of the day before.

An elf name Aluith slayed a supposed necromancer in front of Jaedin, she sobbed, called him a meanie and killed him...a lesson to other to listen when she speaks.

She eventually calmed her cute little rage fit and said she came bearing a message from Daddy, later she named him Naemuthe. She said he had a message via spell and she misfired twice...she's just a kid afterall...speaking, "Allaakazonka!" and "Jimmerjabber Whoruollie who who who who!!"

In a tone ancient and deep the spell finally fired and a Black Dragon followed by a Draco Liche appeared.

Mass Chaos overcame the adventurers and they barely managed to slay the great Wyrms.

Jaedin ran away in fear at the unleashing of the spell, wish she just thought to be words....

The adventurers hissed of a demon child...some said devil...some said both.

Some whispered to her as the others argued asking for Daddy's name...seeking power and knowledge....

Jaedin then yelled over the adults, they never listen you know, in an adults voice speaking a riddled phrase of poetry.

She asked three to step forward...One of the Light....One of the Dark...and One of the Gray in between.

Only two of the Light stepped forward....the rest no doubt there..but silent.

She told those of the Dark to seek her out upon the Road when they might...

She then spoke of the Light saying, "The Light of these lands is in shambles and stumbles as the Darkness Comes.."

She didn't elaborate on WHAT darkness...only what is now present amoung this part of the Realms.

She then spoke of the Dark saying, "Your efforts are unfocused and you fight each other..." Or something of that sort...

She then spoke of the Grey saying, "You stand inbetween...cowering and mewing about both..doing nothing..neither helping or hurting...SOON those such as you will choose..."

The young girl was slain before her speech on the Three Colors, but she miraculously rose again after a Monk with the strength of ten men urged the others to strike her down...

The adventurers looked on astonished at her power...dark? light? good? evil?

Is she a pawn....Mommy and Daddy don't get along after all....she said Daddy protects her from the Fields...having mispoke and she did a poor job of lying...young girls are such horriable liars we all know...

She then hugged Mr. B goodbye, snapped her fingers, and the Portal dissappeared....as did she...saying she'd be around...and that Neumaeth is coming....

XP rewards were handed out to all participants; too many to name. Thank you all. Rewards ranged from 1000xp to 2500xp.

A Cold Hearted Soul Rules the Night, A Walk in the Moonlight: Part 3.

This event was a mini one for a KotEC Seeker Phelan Shadowtop. His rp was top notich, well done BNLL!

What began as a messenge delivery to Phelan, by a Dryad of the Grove, turned into a walk for the young man to remember.

It had been a long time since Kae'el (Tender of the Grove) had left the Grove. She left to deliver a message to Phelan for Keeper Galen'ael who away on Grove business.

They spent many hours speaking of matters of the Grove, eventually coming to the River side by the Bridge. The entire time young Phelan could hardly keep his eyes on hers...but he showed a kindness for one with such a rough edge to him....she told him his time as Seeker maybe drawing to a close..and that Galena'el was very proud of him.

As they spoke, an evil prescience emerged from the river...Ghouls attacked the two. Brave Phelan slew the ghouls and the Dryad healed him continually as they were beset by minions of Darkness...the Dryads power was weakend for she was from home, but enjoying her time with Phelan.

As Phelan caught his breath and the Dryad stood behind her protector, a portal appeared and young human girl emerged, Jaeden, from a portal of Flame half as high as Istari tower...

She engaged in pointless banter with Phelan, as young kids are bound to do you know and warned him of the coming Darkness of Neumaeth..her Daddy...she told him to warn Arch Druid Tarskah and Keeper Galen'ael...

She told him the Grove does much to protect the Wilds and help their friends in the City.

And....that when Daddy comes...the Grove will stand and fight...because Daddy knows they will, for they are strong and diverse...a blending of the Three Colors of the Game.....Light, Dark, and Gray and they are stronger for it..the others...not so much she giggled.

She said Daddy will come from up there, she pointed up....and soon...she then giggled.

With that, she stepped into the portal and dissappeared, her message delivered.

She left Phelan and the Dryad standing their...shocked and covered in the blood and gore of the Undead.

The Dryad thanked the young Druidic Seeker with a kiss upon the cheek and a warm smile as she faded into a nearby Oak and flew upon the roots of the trees...back to the Grove.

Over the Rainbow...from Amn to Baldurs Gate:

A Dwarven Smith named Glarin had quite the adventure.

A mage, promising him a new forge, miscast...just a little...a spell trying to transport the forge form Thay to Amn to save some coin.

Instead of bringing the forge to Amn...the mage sent Glarin and his shop to Baldurs Gate...the House crashing to the ground near the Merchant Camp.

Remarkably, the House survived being made of Stout Dwarven construction. During the miscast, the Dwarve lost some valuable ore.

He hired a group of adventurers to recover the ore led by the Gnome Tuk. During the adventure, some denziens of the Under Dark appeared and joined the party.

Normal predijuices were set aside as the party was beset from all side by goblins and worg riders...their very lives threatend.

The party discovered various survivors of numerous parties Glarin had sent ahead of the other...this party was the only one to survive...though Glarin forgot to mention this before the last party set out.

After killing many enemies, the party emerged from the Cloakwood Mine...beaten, battered and bloody, but alive, with ore in hand.

Glarin of Amn rewarded the adventurers for their troubles.

My apologies for those I accidently ported from the Under Dark. I'm sure someone will post a screen shot with nice smart ass remarks soon. Thank you for being good sports and joining. On the brightside, I've got some idea for linked events now (once I reviews the DM tutorial mod more )

Anyone who was inconveinced please PM me you logon and character name and I'll make it up to you next I see you in game. I had to go, wife meter ran out.

A Cold Hearted Soul Rules the Night, A Warning from the Well: Part 4

Jorn the farmer saw a strange sight this Eve...an odd Blue Light and a sound of sighing and smacking lips coming from the Well near his home...

The Brave Sun Elf known as Dallenthell Wyndsoul happend by to see poor Jorn scratching his beard and backing away from the Well.

Bernard of the Weavemasters and the woman known as Aileen soon joined him.

After speaking with Jorn, a Pack of Celestial Leopards shot out of the well and attacked the party as the Blue Light shot into the sky...a beacon and not seemingly random...as if it was trying to get someones attention.

The party went below to investigate and found a speaking Beholder who whispered in their Minds of the Test. The party fought it's way through the Beholder and it's slaves...Umber Hulks..Mind Flayers...and worse....

They came upon a Portal and another Beholder who spoke alound of a Messenge and of the Defiler.

After answering some questions, saying the party had passed the Test of his Master..he attacked as well..a Beholder more powerful than most have ever seen. The party barely managed to slay the Abberation as the Portal thrummed behind them, black smoke drifing from it's recesses and red fog filling the cave....this large Beholder the source of the sighing and smacking of lips Jorn heard from the Well up top.

A voice sound from the Portal taunting the party, daring them forward. After much debate they proceeded....

On the otherside they found a strange looking group of green skinned Humanoids who spoke of the Astral Plane...a Child...and Her Father....

The wizard known as Nuemaeth...and of matters relating to His Child walking the Land.

The green skinnded Humanoids named themsleves the Githyanki and delivered a Warning of the Wizard and his Child.

They told the party of his being an escaped criminal and his Child...a spawn of pure evil with the face of an angel.

They warned the party of what might come...what they would do if the Child was not brought to them..and of what the Wizard is capable.

Only Dallenthel spoke the most...the others listening...gauging or mesmerized by the situation they found themselves in....

"Bring me the Child...return to your leaders and tell them of what Comes...I shall return in a ten-day awaiting your answer...."

These words spoken by the Githyanki Garaki the Defiler...

Elusive, seemingly needing help, and barely volunteering much more...the Githyanki dissappeared into the Portal one by one...leaving a look of confusion and abject horror on the faces of the adventurers....but to the trained eye they seemed needing something themselves...even their Power seemingly being tested by this Wizard of Mystery who had escaped a Planar Prision...

Before the Defiler walked into the Portal, he spoke over is shoulder to the Elf...

"Tell the Dukes..Tell the Druids...Tell the Minions of Darkness...Tell all what Comes..and Bring me the Child...Bait..as you said..and let your Land be spared...or it shall burn..by our Hand or His...the choice is yours..."

He then dissappeared into the Portal.

A Hunt for the Black One: Part One.

In the early evening, a mob of Goblinoids invaded Beregost at the behest of a Drow Raiding party.

A brave group of Adventurers led by Beren Cross, Favored Soul of Tyr, stood their ground north of the city and repelled wave after wave of goblins, worg riders, and lizard men.

As the party licked their wounds, a party of Drow came out of the woods...saying they sought the Black One...a human Banite.

The party spoke few words to the Drow Party before they two groups entered a melee of blood and combat.

Before the last was slain...a Priestess summoned three Demons that the party barely overcame.

Commoners and guards from the Local Temple of Lathander responded to the onslaught as well...braverly joining the adventurers in repelling the attack.

Before the leader of the Drow party uttered his last breathe...he told more will come...until the head of the Black One is theirs and his machinations come to an end.

His eyes glazed over with a crooked grin on his face as his spirit left his body.

The party of adventurers then dispersed about their business...after they healed the wounded and saw to calming the Commoners.

This Eve, the city of Beregost stands...but patrols around the City have been doubled...guards questioning all who enter at hastily erected check points.

A War Spills Over: Part One.

A young wizardness known as Kara finds a bumbling old man named Aladanon deep in the Minotaur Caves.

After her and a brave Dwarf...Rutgar...escourt the Sage to the nearby city of Baldurs Gate...the Sage speaks of seeking a man named Beren...a servant of Tyr.

He brings a message for the man from another time...a message of death and a sad tale of events yet to come...a tale that reaches back into this time.

After delivering his message...he retires to the Blade and Stars Inn...awaiting the arrival of man known as Beren....and a conversation that needs to be had.

Lady Kara and Rutgar's act selfless kindness bring hope to a darkness that is coming...and shall soon rear it's head.

A War Spills Over: Part 2

At the Blade and Stars Inn, Lady Kara and Beren finally meet the Sage known as Aldanon.

He delivers his message and tells his tale...shocking them with his knowledge of events of their very lives themselves...linking Beren with the Circle of Druids...a knowledge given to him of the Keeper of the Elder Circle..so personal..he will have no choice but to believe his words....

Also in attendence is Foinus Ironfaar and his right hand, Mutharin.

Strangely, the Chief of Ironfaar is uncharastically silent as the Sage speaks and tells his tale.

The Blood War will spill over...it is only a matter of time. Their only lead...a being and devil known as Mephasm who will reek a terrible act upon the city of Baldur's Gate...he is rumored according to the Sages old Tome to have been leading a local cult of Banites...and manipulating one known as the Black One.

The Sage tries to bring hope...for the Portal will open and the War will come...but none know when...they begin to watch...listen...and plan...as word begins to spread amoung the goodly adventurers of the Land....

A War Spills Over: Part 3

The Druid known as Faerynn is iniatied into the Keepers of the Elder Circle...he sins laid bare before the Oak Father and the speaker of the Keeper...a beautiful Dryad.

His soul cleansed and his spirite renewed, Faerynn takes his Oath and begins to walk the Land as he was meant too...leaving his lust for death and revenge behind him.

At the end, the Dryad speaks of a coming darkness and that he must find Keeper Galen'ael soon and learn what all of the Circle will soon know...that the War between the Hells and the Abyss is coming.

As Faerynn begins his new journey, the Keeper begins his search for the Sage known as Aldanon...as his heart is heavy with one knowing of the taint that his son bares...one of shadow and the gray spaces in between...a young elfling known as Elyl....merely a babe.

Galen'ael begins to feel the prescence of a young half elf who soul is old...and gray...much like his own son's....

A War Spills Over: Part 4.

Mephasm appears in the Temple of Bane...to silence and over turned pews...and emptiness of the whole of the Church...a devil seemingly under the power of the Black Hand.

He summons the Black One and asks him the reason for his failure...for all have forsaken him and with that act...The Black Hand himself.

Tomar has shown resilence where the others have faltered...by his own words and has shown Faith.

Mephasm places his hand upon the forehead of Tomar and the power of Bane flows into him...making him invincible and mad with blood lust for he has been given he reward for outlasting those who faltered....A Reward of Revenge as the city of Nashkel still burns.

As the power flows into the Black One, a funnel of black energy flows into the sky...calling a party of brave adventurers to the Temple Grounds outside.

Lusting for Revenge...three bow before Tomar and thus, the Lord Bane. Beren of Tyr and a young half elf known as Vlen...a Weavemaster...selflessly fight the raging Black One. All our slain, but Beren who in a final act of selflessness pulls the bodies the fallen servants of good upon his shoulders and dissappears into the night...having nearly slain Tomar as the blessing of Bane began to fade...as Mephasm's evil laughter echos in the night.

Beren has seen the devil and knows his name...Tyr has been just to him for his bravery and honor...now those who know what comes may have a chance to learn more than the Sage can tell them....as a candle of hope still flickers against the darkness.

And word begins to spread of evil gaining power in the Land...and spreading....as Tomar walks into his House...and begins to rebuild that which has faltered.

A War Spills Over: Part 5

A portal appears in the ruins of Nashkel...a beautifull Tiefling women appears looking around for an Old Man...she tells a group of Adventurers...the Sage known as Aldanon.

The do not let her pass to the road and lands beyond...and scare her back into the Portal as she summons a platoon of Devils to cover her escape.

The woman seemingly was under the compulsion of force greater than herself...twitching at times...but her Master grew impatient and urged her to the point...tiring of her banter and relief of finally leaving the Hells...if only for a short time.

The party fell one by one...until Beren of Tyr happend by and slew the Devils....

As the portal closed of it's own accord, a mocking laughter was heard.

Rumor spreads of Devils appearing in the Lands of Baldur's Gate...a scouting party barely turned away and no doubt more will come as a human known as Beren ofTyr begins to make a name for himself amoung the factions and adventurers of Baldur's Gate...and those who begin to scout the region with designs of thier own....as word begins to spread of the encounters with the Devil's...some whisper Blood War...some do not yet believe...but they will.

A War Spills Over Part 6:

In the city of Ssamasth, a beautiful Tiefling appears outside the city gates and meets a Drow Mage of some power and influence.

After speaking for sometime, they agree to search for a human man the Tiefling wants found.

A Bargin is agreed to and if success is found..more will come.

It is better to running along side the bull...than be ran over by it.

The meeting ends with gold changing hands and a party of Drow let loose upon the surface via a powerful Portal...one way and no way back for those who go...part of the bargin.

They are to find their own way back...Life is at times...about survival...they will need to learn how to adapt for what comes.

A War Spills Over Part 7:

In the farmlands, as the Fist prepared a Drow Raider for hanging...a portal opened and spawned devils who attacked the Fist Patrol...

A shortime later, Demon's emerged from another nearby portal and attacked the devils....and the Fist patrol...most of which was slain before they took their dead and retreated to temple to raise the dead.

The drow was killed during the botched rescue...was it rescue?

Rumors swirl if it was or if something else begins to happen...if something begins to spill into this part of the Realms....

The Fist fought braverly and after a long battle slew the devils and the demons that remained.....

The Council of the Dukes: Session 1

-Father Tenith argued his case for Drow being burned to prevent ressurection only once dead and the spirit gone from the body...saying burning them alive is not Just in the eyes of Tyr and makes those who do such hardly any better than the Drow themselves. Conditional approval was given for the change in regards to the execution of the Drow...and nothing but...all else remains the same.

-The NTE pleads their case, again, for the help of the Dukes in the rebuilding of Nashkel. After a long debate, the Dukes donated 50 thousand gold for the rebuilding of the city...impressed by the progress of the NTE. The NTE asked for military aid, it was again turned down do to Amnish concerns...given the High Politics involved...the Dukes appointed Lady Selah their Ambassador to Amn. She is too contact Amn and begin negotiations. The help came with a warning of that it will be done for the PEOPLE of Nashkel and if it is not...there will consequences for all involved since Amnish forces have occupied Beregost in the past due to security concerns. The Dukes made the point of saying it was past time for them to show proper concern for the Plight of the Refugees who cross both sides of the border...the Dukes opinion swayed by the common sense and heart felt words of Lady Selah and a small masked Hin...or Gnome...no one was quite sure which.

-A young tiefling warned of slander of House Wyndsoul and the Fist...accusing a being named Valeshar...the motion entered by Beren of Tyr. The Dukes said the matter will be investigated, in these dark times, no slander will go unanswered or uninvestigated...fear will not be allowed to spread and upset the People in these dark times. The matter will be investigated within the Law and if any are hurt because of the malcontentish actions...those responsible will pay.

-Roland, a young servant of a Dragon Lord...related to Tyr...asked the leave of the Dukes to teach others in the city Draconic at no charge for his time. The Dukes gave him leave to do so, for free and only for the use of knowledge amoung merchants and scholars..no others...on a temporary basis..warning if trouble arises..he will be held accountable since they do not want needless fear amoung the simple people of the City...though simple their concerns no less valid.

-As those who spoke were rushed out, the audiences at an end...the Dukes were seen addressing a note and a summons to House Wyndsoul.
