Appearance:
He's got a very light and athletic build, blueish skin, and beautiful delicate face which can lead strangers to underestimate his power.
Race: Moon elf
Age: 132
Height very short and thin even for an elf
Weight: around 75 lb
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Greyish blue
Facial Hair Style: none

Personality Profile:
Therenil is a man of action, not words. He lives by the saying "the end justify the means" and have no moral issues when it comes to furthering his goals. He is not inherently evil, though his actions might be considered as such because he lets nothing to stand in his way. The long years with the thieves guild taught him much about family and friendship, and he is not shy of making friends, though when the time comes he might disappear forever without saying goodbye, or his former friends might wake up in the morning with a slit throat.
He have a weakness for females, especially ones with some religious power, and he might find himself working against his best interests when around such women.

General Health: He is quite healthy and in good shape.

Base Class & Proposed Development: Rogue --> Assassin --> Invisible Blade (EDIT: I can't say exactly were he will go, it is mostly depend on RP and which organization he will join, also I have noticed that you have more PRCs then in the OC. I think I should add that there's a good chance that he will go for Divine Seeker of Mask or a Guild Thief. Though, again, it is all quite open, and depends a lot on RP)

Habits/Hobbies:
Carpentering and crafting wooden models, from animals, ships and monsters, to inn and shop signs, a skill he picked while working aboard ships, fixing damage. Also, he have a wide collection of mundane daggers and shivs. On his spare time he likes to collect stories, songs and rumors, he is more of a listening guy then a talking one. Recently he started to research more about his elven heritage. Also, traveling occupies most of his time, now that he have a new land to explore.

Languages:
Elven and common which he learned when he was a child. Gnomish and Orcish from his days as a mercenary at sea.

Weapon of Choice:
Small blades. From daggers to short swords. He was also known for killing a man by stabbing him with an arrow. He will also use a short bow when close combat is to dangerous.

Background:
Therenil was born in Calimshan at 1215 DR, Year of Starlight, to a violent and powerful priestess of Bane, Loreniel “The Black Maiden” Bladewhisper. He never knew his father, and when he grew up he assumed that his mother didn’t know or didn’t care ether.
He lived with his mother in the temple of Bane and witnessed horrifying rituals and sacrifices for most of his youth, though he never took part in any of them because of his young age. At 1261 DR, Year of Bright Dreams, his mother disappeared from the temple leaving no trace after her. Therenil used her absence and ran away, only to find himself in the filthy streets of Calimport. He had no other choice but to live in the streets, stealing for survival.
He lived as a street urchin for almost three years, before he was found half dead from starvation and disease, by Olnfar Goduk, a priest of Mask who was the leader of a small group of thieves and pickpockets.
As the years passed the group became an accomplished thieves guild associated with Mask. Olnfar was a father figure for Therenil, and as the time passed the young elf adopted Mask as his patron deity.
Therenil grew up to become a very promising thief in his guild. Though, his days of glory were cut short by an opposing guild who craved for more power and territory. After two years of fighting for survival in the shadowy, filth ridden streets of Calimport, Therenil's guild disbanded, some joined the victorious guild while others went on their own way.
Therenil had to many enemies in the opposing guild to stay, so he had to leave for good. He made up his mind and by 1290 DR, Year of The Whelm, after long weeks of traveling by sea, he found himself at the busy harbor of Waterdeep, The City of Splendors.
He started working as a mercenary and caravan guard, though a person like him can't keep a decent job for long. Few months after his arrival to Waterdeep he was already contacted by shady individuals who offered him work, his kind of work. Not fooling himself, and knowing what he is good at, Therenil had no real choice. He started to work as an illegal hired sword, spy and thief for various groups and individuals who wanted to make sure that nothing will get traced back to them. At this dark years, Therenil had started to develop his skills with the art of death and assassination.
By 1341 DR, Year of The Gate, through his various contacts, Therenil discovered that his mother is well and alive, and that she joined a powerful group known as the Zhentarim, she was mostly operating more to north and in the forest of Cormanothr, though rumors had it that the old priestess of Bane came to Waterdeep looking for her son. And that she will do anything in her power to find him.
Remembering the horrors of his childhood, Therenil couldn’t let it happen. He had to run once again. Leaving everything behind him, and hiding his identity.
For the last six years he worked as a mercenary at sea, escorting merchant ships from all across the Sword Coast, from Athkatla to the northern most cities of Neverwinter and Luskan. He never had a home, moving from one job to another, always on the move in fear that his mother might find out about him.
Until he had enough of it.
Therenil decided that he can no longer run away. He trusted his abilities and knew that he will be able to become powerful enough to be feared and respected, and maybe even to confront his mother one day. After taking his last job, he decided to stay at the city of Baldur’s Gate and make a name for himself.

Goals:
1. To make his life stable again by gaining enough allies and power to feel comfortable.
2. To gain power and respect in his chosen field, which is bounty hunting and assassination. This is the only way he can really feel alive, the only way that he knows to make the best out of himself and to gain true self fulfillment.
3. To attract the attention of powerful individuals by his actions alone, and gain prestige and power as a member of a powerful organization.
4. To some day, find and confront his mother.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
1. After making some name for himself he might attract shady individuals who might offer him work or to join an assassin / thieves / bounty hunting / mercenary guild.

2. His mother might appear, using the local Zhentarim cell to raise every stone looking for him, she most likely heard what her son became and she might wish to recruit him to the Zhentarim or the church of Bane.

3. He made his share of enemies from the past, he might bump into some in his travels.
